It relates more specifically to a drive device of a wiper arm of a motor vehicle, comprising a first motor part secured to a support part fixed on the vehicle body, driving a second part comprising a shaft of driving the wiper arm, this second part being fixed on a bearing integral with a movable element relative to the body, in particular a rear window, this device being associated with a mounting piece, called wedge, providing a connection provision of said first and second portions to ensure correct relative positioning of said portions.
- the first part comprises a motor whose shaft rotates a plate, the motor and the plate being integral with said support piece, the plate being intended to drive a ratchet finger of a crank driving an axis of wiper arm drive included in the second part.
- the plate can be made of plastic or metal and is mounted on the output shaft of the engine. Its role is to drive the drive shaft of the arm with a ratchet finger that is mounted in an oblong hole of this plate.
- An arrangement of this type is described in patent application US 2004/0255424. It is known to use, when mounting the drive device, a shim providing a temporary connection of the first and second parts.
- This shim has two functions namely to ensure a coaxiality between the axis of the bearing and the axis of the motor and ensure that the fixed stop of the axis of the bearing coincides with the fixed stop of the wiper motor, the stop fixed is the position of the broom on the glass when the engine is stopped. It is known to use a wedge constituting a separate piece and usable once or several times. In the case where the hold is reusable, it is necessary to organize its return to the supplier after assembly of the wiper motor on the line of the vehicle assembly.
- the assembly can be decomposed as follows: a) the operator mounts the bearing equipped with the hold and the engine on the tailgate; b) it fixes the motor on the support part integral with the bodywork; c) it adjusts the respective positions of the engine and the bearing using the wedge; (d) fix the landing on the telescope; (e) remove the hold from the bearing and the engine; f) it throws or returns the shim in the assembly circuit.
- the disadvantage of this solution is the significant cost of the hold which can be used only once, and that of the logistics if the hold is used several times.
- the invention solves this problem and, for this purpose, it proposes a device for driving a wiper arm of a motor vehicle, comprising a first motor part secured to a support part fixed to the body of the vehicle, causing a second part comprising a drive shaft of the wiper arm, this second part being fixed on a bearing integral with a movable element relative to the body, in particular a rear window, this device being associated with a piece of mounting, said shim, providing a temporary connection of said first and second parts to ensure a correct relative positioning of said parts, characterized in that said shim is integral with said first portion or said second portion by means of breakable tabs. Thanks to the invention, the operations of withdrawal of the wedge, return and management in the assembly circuit are deleted. This results in a saving of time during the assembly of the wiper.

Then the third portion 3C of the wedge is tightly mounted on the pin 24 of the bearing 20. Then the assembly comprising the shim and the second part 2 of the device is clipped on the plate 12 of the first part 1 of the device.
