Definitions
- the present invention relates to a measuring box for a hearing device with a housing into which the hearing device to be measured can be introduced. Moreover, the present invention relates to a corresponding method for measuring a hearing device and in particular a hearing device.
- Hearing aids must be adjusted before use. For this purpose, they are measured in a defined acoustic environment. As a rule, a so-called measuring box is used for this purpose, the main task of which is to damp ambient noise. Only through this noise damping is a successful and reliable measurement possible.
- measuring boxes are designed so that the ambient noise is "shielded" by the mass and tightness of the respective box. So there is a passive damping.
- With smaller measuring systems as can be found in hearing aid measuring systems for hearing aid acousticians, due to the required, small size and mass of the measuring boxes used there can not be sufficiently attenuated ambient noise.
- the object of the present invention is thus to propose the smallest possible measuring box, which ensures sufficiently good damping.
- this object is achieved by a measuring box for a hearing device with a housing, in which the hearing device to be measured can be introduced, a Störsignalaid worn for receiving an interference signal and a signal generating means for generating the recorded interference signal in-phase compensation signal, so that the interference signal can be compensated by the compensation signal.
- a method for measuring a hearing device in a measuring box by recording an interference signal on / in the measuring box and generating a compensation signal in phase opposition to the recorded interference signal, so that the interference signal is compensated by the compensation signal.
- the invention is based on the idea that the damping is not exclusively passive, as is the case in the prior art. Rather, according to the invention, an active damping of ambient noise should take place. As a result, very small and lightweight measuring boxes can be built, which nevertheless have a very high immunity to environmental noise. In particular, the quality of critical measurements on hearing aids, such as the inherent noise or the transmission behavior with quiet input signals, can be significantly improved by this method.
- the interfering signal and the compensating signal are acoustic in nature, and the interfering signal receiving means comprises a microphone, while the signal generating means comprises a loudspeaker.
- This acoustic noise can be effectively suppressed.
- the interference signal is electromagnetic in nature, so that the compensation signal must be electromagnetic.
- the Störsignal technique shark comprises a receiving coil and the signal generating means comprises a transmitting coil. This can also be effective compensation for electromagnetic interference from the environment in the measuring box.
- the signal generating device also generates a measuring signal and the compensation signal generates the measuring signal is mixed.
- a single loudspeaker or a single transmitting coil can be used for both signals.
- the Störsignalness beautiful can be arranged in the housing. In this way, the interference signal can be recorded directly in the measuring box so that the acoustic or electromagnetic path through the measuring box does not have to be modeled.
- the Störsignalarea thanks can also be arranged outside the housing and have a corresponding filter unit. This variant allows a further reduction of the size of the measuring box.
- the ambient noise attenuation is achieved by a measuring box with an active system.
- a measuring box with an active system.
- the system is intended to generate an in-phase signal inside the measuring box, which otherwise corresponds exactly to the ambient noise N which enters the measuring box and originates from the noise source 1.
- the entire measuring box has here not only a passive measuring chamber 2, but also an active electronic part 3, the may be referred to as an ambient noise reduction unit.
- This active part 3 receives a signal of a reference or sound field microphone 4, which is placed in the measuring space 2.
- the microphone signal is supplied in the active part 3 to a control unit 5 including an adaptive filter.
- the output signal of the control unit 5 is forwarded to an amplifier 6 and fed back from there within the active part 3 to the control unit 5.
- the output signal of the amplifier 6 serves to drive a loudspeaker 7, which is arranged in the measuring space 2.
- the compensation or cancellation of the noise N occurs according to the example of FIG 1 by a monitoring microphone 4, which receives the ambient sound at the measuring point 8.
- a monitoring microphone 4 which receives the ambient sound at the measuring point 8.
- an ambient microphone which measures the ambient noise continuously (see FIG. 2), can also be attached to the outside of the measuring box or measuring space 2.
- FIG 2 A suitable for this situation measuring box is shown in FIG 2.
- a measuring microphone 4 is arranged in the measuring space 2 of the measuring box, which measures the sound at the measuring point 8 measures.
- the measuring signal S m of the measuring microphone 4 is passed on the one hand to the outside and on the other hand fed to a control unit 11 within an active part 10 for ambient noise suppression.
- a useful signal S 1 is fed.
- a generator 12 generates a compensation signal and is controlled by the control unit 11, which supplies a corresponding coefficient.
- the output signal of the generator 12 is applied to the useful signal S 1 in an adder 13.
- the sum signal is fed to a filter H 2 , which serves for the compensation of that useful signal portion which arrives at the external microphone 9.
- the filter H 2 is also driven by the control unit 11 with corresponding coefficients.
- the outer microphone 9 receives in the first line the background noise from the noise source 1.
- the output signal of the external microphone 9 is fed into the active part 10 to a further filter H N.
- This filter H N is used to reduce the noise level, since this is higher outside than in the interior of the measuring space 2.
- This filter also receives its coefficients from the control unit 11th
- the output signals of the two filters H 2 and H N are added in an adder 14 and the sum signal is supplied to an amplifier 15 and the control unit 11.
- the output signal of the amplifier 15 again serves to control the loudspeaker 7.
- the recorded ambient noise is thus mixed here via a special filter H N the actual useful signal S 1 or separately fed into the measuring chamber 2.
- This can be either a quasi-static (metered) system in which the background noise is always the same, or it can be an adaptive, self-regulating system in which the filter constantly adjusts itself.
- the coils can also be used simultaneously with the microphone speaker system, so that both an acoustic and an electromagnetic compensation can be carried out. Due to the electromagnetic measurements or compensations can be dispensed with a complex and expensive electromagnetic shielding of the measuring box.

Abstract
Description
- FIG 1
