Five days later, the leaves were infected with an aqueous sporangium suspension of Phytophthora infestans. Subsequently, the plants were saturated in a water vapor Chamber placed at temperatures between 18 and 20 0 C. After 6 days, the late blight on the untreated but infected control plants had developed so strongly that the infestation could be determined visually in%.
