Gemäß der Zeichnung wird als Ausgangsmaterial für den Herstellungsvorgang ein Röhmaterialblock, beispielsweise aus rostfreiem, hochlegiertem Stahl, wie etwa Chrom-Nickel-Stahl verwendet. Die Breite b dieses Rohmaterialblocks kann bis zu 300 mm betragen, die Höhe h des Rohmaterials kann 5 bis 15 cm, insbesondere etwa 10 cm betragen. Die Tiefe t des Rohmaterialblocks kann 1 bis 10 mm insbesondere 3 bis 5 mm betragen. Dabei werden mit Hilfe des Multierosionskopfs 20 gleichzeitig drei Schlitze 12 hergestellt. Bei anderen Ausführungsformen der Erfindung können vier oder mehr Schlitze 12 bzw. 2 oder weniger Schlitze 12 gleichzeitig hergestellt werden. In einem zweiten Bearbeitungsschritt werden gleichzeitig mit Hilfe von Erosionsköpfen 30 und 40 Profile 50 in einer senkrecht zur Kämmrichtung geführten Ansicht aus zwei einander entgegengesetzten und jeweils senkrecht zur Kämmrichtung verlaufenden Richtungen aus dem Rohmaterialblock 10 herausgelöst. Die Erfindung ist nicht auf die anhand der Zeichnung erläuterte Ausführungsform beschränkt. Vielmehr ist auch an die Herstellung von Rundkammgarnituren mit Hilfe erfindungsgemäßer Verfahren gedacht. Dabei können zur Herstellung der Zahnprofile auch im zweiten Bearbeitungsschritt Multierosionsköpfe zum Einsatz kommen.
