Claims (12)

  1. A timepiece movement comprising
    a going train (1), and
    a mechanism having a first kinematic connection (2, 3) with said going train and arranged to drive an indicator member (24, 25) in a stealthy rotational movement, said movement being activated periodically, with a predefined period,
    said mechanism also comprising
    a first wheel-and-pinion unit (4) comprising a first wheel (5) at least indirectly in engagement with said going train,
    a second wheel-and-pinion unit (10) mounted coaxially with said first wheel-and-pinion unit (4), having at least one stop region (14) and a second wheel (12), these being integral in rotation, while a second kinematic connection (23) connects said second wheel to said indicator member,
    an elastic member (7) connecting said first wheel-and-pinion unit (4) to said second wheel-and-pinion unit (10) in such a way that its degree of tension is a function of the respective angular positions of said first and second wheel-and-pinion units, and
    locking means (15, 16, 17, 18, 19) designed to engage with said stop region (14) of said second wheel-and-pinion unit to prevent the latter from rotating between two successive movements of said indicator member,
    characterized in that said first wheel-and-pinion unit comprises a cam (6) coaxial with and fixed to said first wheel (5) and designed to act on said locking means (15, 16, 17, 18, 19), in each period, in order to release them momentarily and permit stealthy rotation of said second wheel-and-pinion unit (10) through a predefined angle, under the action of said elastic member (7), and
    in that said mechanism also comprises a retarding device (15, 16) acting on said second wheel-and-pinion unit in such a way as to limit its speed of stealthy rotation.
  2. Movement according to claim 1, characterized in that said elastic member is a spiral spring (7) whose first end is attached to said first wheel-and-pinion unit while its second end (9) is attached to said second wheel-and-pinion unit (10).
  3. Movement according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said second wheel-and-pinion unit comprises a drive wheel (12), said stop region being formed in its periphery in the form of a notch (14), and
    in that said locking means comprise a first long spring (17, 18) with a free end (15, 16) designed to engage in said notch (14) and lock it.
  4. Movement according to claim 3, characterized in that said free end (15, 16) of the long spring (17, 18) is in permanent contact with the periphery of said drive wheel (12) to fulfill the function of said retarding device.
  5. Movement according to claim 3, characterized in that said locking means comprise a second long spring (18, 17) arranged in such a way that its free end (16, 15) is situated in a position approximately diametrically opposed to the position of the free end (15, 16) of said first long spring (17, 18) with reference to said drive wheel (12), in contact with the latter.
  6. Movement according to claim 5, characterized in that said first and second long springs (17, 18) are arranged in such a way that, at every instant, at least one of their respective free ends (15, 16) is bearing against the periphery of said drive wheel (12).
  7. Movement according to any one of claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the general shape of said cam (6) is that of a disk of predefined radius, shorter than a radius of activation, defined between the axis of rotation of said second wheel-and-pinion unit (10) and the bottom of the notch (14) of said drive wheel (12), said cam also comprising a nose (8) situated at a distance from said axis of rotation greater than said radius of activation and designed to push the free end (15, 16) of said long spring or springs (17, 18) out of said locking means in each period.
  8. Movement according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said indicator member is connected to an indicator wheel (24), said second kinematic connection comprising a gear (23) connecting said second wheel (13) to said indicator wheel (24), and the latter elements being respectively numbered in such a way that said indicator member (24, 25) performs a half revolution in each of said stealthy rotational movements.
  9. A timepiece comprising a movement as claimed in any one of the preceding claims.
  10. A timepiece comprising a case containing a movement as claimed in claim 8, in which said indicator member (24, 25) carries a sign (25) designed to permit a distinction between the respective states of rotation and immobility of said indicator member, said movement being surmounted by a dial comprising at least one window through which said sign can be made visible during each of said stealthy rotational movements.
  11. Timepiece according to claim 10, characterized in that said indicator member and at least the plate of said indicator wheel (24) are made of one or more essentially transparent materials, preferably sapphire.
  12. Timepiece according to claim 11, characterized in that said indicator member and said indicator wheel (24) are on top of a member (26) for displaying the phases of the moon.
