Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for sorting coins which fall after passing through a Münzprüfech each individually into a distribution shaft in which they occupy a vertical position and from which they are in different denominations corresponding container can be transferred.
  • a device of the above type is known from WO 02/082384 A1 known.
  • the Münzprüfech optionally a carousel or a belt conveyor with a plurality of distribution shafts downstream, the open trays are moved across a sorting template, which has long slots with a step-widening on both sides cross-section.
  • the known construction is expensive in terms of the number of their shafts. It also takes up a lot of space in the horizontal and is therefore less suitable for installation in column-shaped payment machines, which also issue change.
  • a device for sorting coins is out GB 38822 C known.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a device of the type described above, the space requirement is within reasonable limits, in which cover the coins during the sorting process short paths and allows high sorting accuracy to be used in facilities can, the change from the containers into which the coins have been sorted.
  • This object is achieved according to the invention in that the distributor shaft fed with individual coins from a part of a Carriage is formed and has a slot for a frame-like sorting template, along which it is linearly reciprocated, and that the sorting template has a extending in the direction of movement of the distributor shaft, stepped longitudinal edge whose stages are adapted in height to different coin diameters.
  • the sorting template passes through a slot of the distributor shaft, which extends obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the distributor shaft, and thus imposes a predetermined starting position on the coin located in the distributor shaft.
  • This starting position can be maintained during the traversing movement of the distributor shaft in that the upper region of the slot is associated with the stepped longitudinal edge of the sorting template, while the longitudinal edge of the sorting template located in the lower region of the slot forms a straight supporting edge for the respective coin in the distributor shaft.
  • the distribution chute is subdivided into two sections each providing space for a coin and the lower section having a bottom which is removable from the region of the distribution chute to form a passage for the coin and which serves as a slide or flap can be formed.
  • the subdivision of the distribution chute into two sections offers the possibility of subjecting the coins tested by the coin validator to a review.
  • the shaft walls oriented perpendicular to the direction of movement of the distributor shaft are provided in the upper and lower sections with respectively aligned openings for the jet, respectively, of a light barrier by means of which the occupancy of the respective section can be checked with a coin.
  • the sorting template at its front end with a stage for sorting supernumerary, ie no longer suitable in a container, and at its rear end with a step to To discard erroneous and false coins.
  • the stage at the front end while a collection container is followed are transferred to the excess coins before the initiation of a sorting process, ie waiving a double check.
  • the level at the back end returns the incorrect or subsequently misunderstood coins to the depositor.
  • the controller monitors and controls the movements of the distribution chute and transfers the coins found to be good and identified in terms of their value into the area of the sorting template level corresponding to the respective denomination. If the coin passes one step before or after the target position, the control prevents the coin from being transferred into the container, which corresponds to the determined coin value.
  • FIG. 1 1 denotes an input tray for the coins 2 of a coin mixture, which are first singulated in a coin separating unit 3 of known design and individually transferred by a controller 4 into a coin testing unit 5 of likewise known type.
  • coin validator 5 not only a check for authenticity of the coin is made, but also the value of the coin is determined in it.
  • Coins identified as counterfeit coins are separated out by means of a switch, not shown, contained in the coin checking unit 5, ie transferred to a return or dispensing tray 6.
  • the sorted in the Münzsortiervoriques 8 immaculate coins go after sorting through various channels 9 - 16 associated in their coin denominations 17 - 24 or in cases where a container is full, unsorted via a channel 25 into a collecting container 26.
  • the degree of filling the container 17 to 24 is continuously monitored by a Münzsammlung founded into the controller 4, not shown, wherein the signals of Münzunizi in the individual containers associated memories of the controller 4 are detected.
  • the stores can not only register the number of coins transferred into the containers, but also, in cases of the use of the sorting device in payment machines, the departure of the coins from the containers.
  • the distributor shaft 7 is formed by a part of a carriage 29, which is guided on two horizontal guide rods 30, 31. To initiate movements in the carriage 29 is controlled by the controller 4 stepper motor 32 which is connected via the upper run of a driven by him belt drive 33 with the carriage.
  • a rearwardly sloping slanted slot in the distribution chute 7 encloses a stationary sorting template 35 which divides the distribution chute into an upper portion 36 and a lower portion 37.
  • the side walls 38, 39 of the distributor shaft are provided with pairs of aligned openings 40 and 41, which can pass through the beams 42, 43 of two light barriers 44a, 44b and 45a, 45b if no coin is present in the sections 36, 37.
  • the bottom 46 of the distributor shaft 7 is formed by a slide actuated by the armature of a magnetic coil 47.
  • the sorting template 35 has the shape of a frame with a smaller window 48 and a larger window 49.
  • the two windows are separated by a transverse web, which forms a stop for the coins falling into the distribution chute 7.
  • the larger of the two windows, d. H. the window 49 has a plurality of steps 51-59 forming the upper longitudinal edge 60 and a lower longitudinal edge 61 which forms a straight support edge for each standing in the upper portion 36 of the distribution slot 7 coin 2.
  • the steps 51-58 limit in conjunction with the lower longitudinal edge breakthroughs that are assigned to certain denominations.
  • Stage 59 is used to sort out both erroneous genuine and false coins not recognized as such by the coin validator due to small diameter differences. Coins enter the sump 26 via the smaller window 48 if one or more of the containers 17-24 are full. This state is comparatively rarely achieved in payment machines, since not only coins are transferred into the container in such facilities, but are also removed again in the context of the change issue.
  • the sorter works as follows:
  • the light barrier 44a, 44b signals the release of the upper portion 36 of the distribution chute and the light barrier 45a, 45b the arrival of the coin in the lower portion 37 of the controller, which now causes the armature of the solenoid 47, the bottom 46 of the distribution shaft from the closed position remove.
  • the coin can now over to slide the channel 14 into the container 22.
  • the lower light barrier 45a, 45b of the control 4 monitoring the movement of the carriage 29 and its respective position reports the completion of the sorting process, and a new coin is transferred from the coin testing unit 5 into the distribution shaft 7. Is it the next coin z. B. a true, but at the edge heavily worn copy with the same value and falls this coin, as in FIG.
  • the controller 4 recognizes that the coin has not passed the sorting stencil 35 in the correct place, ie space given by the controller 4, and ignores the signal from the photocell 45a, 45b, which normally initiates the removal of the bottom 46 from the closed position of the distribution well. Instead of removing the bottom 46 of the distributor shaft 7 at the point reached, the controller moves the distributor shaft 7, as in FIG. 8 shown in the area of level 59, only to open the soil here.
  • the 59 passing coin is returned via the return device 27 in the return or output tray. Also in this case, a new sorting process is initiated by the signal of the light barrier 45a, 45b.
  • the controller 4 ensures that the distribution shaft 7 is not moved to the coin value corresponding stage, but directly into the area of the smaller window 48, as well as Level 59 can pass all coins. Also in this case, the bottom 46 is pushed away and initiated by the photocell 45 a, 45 b and the controller 4, a new sorting process after the respective coin via the channel 25 in the Collecting container 26 has arrived.
  • the described relationships are again shown schematically for a better understanding.
