- the invention relates to a method for the production of plank elements with a connection profile from a plate, as well as a device for the production of plank elements according to the inventive method.
- planks are cut by means of saw milling in several plank elements. Subsequently, the plank elements are provided on all four edges with a corresponding connection profile. This is usually done by means of a profile cutter. The uncoiling of the plate and the milling of the connection profile leads to loss of material. In particular, the remaining usable surface is reduced. In a plank with an effective resulting width of 192 mm, for example, 13.2 mm are lost during production due to the loss of material during trimming and profile milling. With an original portion of a single board element on the board of 205.2 mm, this results in a useful surface area of 93.6%. Because plank floors are sold by area, this increases the material and manufacturing costs per area. This problem becomes all the more important, the higher the quality and thus the more expensive the starting materials. Production of planks with less material loss is therefore desirable for economic reasons.
