Abstract

L'invention concerne un matériau de construction constitué par une substance de base pulvérulente ou granuleuse se liant par cristallisation, recristallisation ou réaction chimique en présence d'eau, ce matériau de construction étant particulièrement adapté pour améliorer la solidité ou la résistance à l'eau d'objets réalisés avec ledit matériau. L'invention vise à réaliser un matériau qui peut être usiné comme un matériau minéral normal et qui, étant solidifié, confère une plus grande résistance à l'humidité aux éléments de construction qu'il constitue. A cet effet, le matériau de construction de l'invention comprend une substance de base et une substance enveloppante. La substance de base est de préférence composée de matières premières naturelles préparées telles que le plâtre, l'anhydrite ou la chaux, ou de matériaux industriels comme le ciment ou la cendre volante, ou bien de matières minérales synthétiques ou bien encore de mélanges des matières susmentionnées. Les particules de cette substance de base sont enrobées d'une substance enveloppante qui ne réagit pas avec la substance de base ou dont le solvant ne réagit pas avec la substance de base. En fonction du type de substance enveloppante, la surface des particules de la substance de base est partiellement ou complètement scellée.
