Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Informationsterminal, das zumindest ein Grundgehäuse, einen Bildschirm und eine Ein- und/oder Ausgabevorrichtung aufweist. Das Informationsterminal steht auf einer Bodenplatte, an der ein Rammschutz befestigt werden kann, welcher die Seitenwandbereiche und den Rückwandbereich des Grundgehäuses vertikal umschliesst. Damit ist ein weitgehender Schutz des Grundgehäuses gegen mechanische Beschädigungen gewährleistet.

Description

Informationsterminal mit Rammschutz
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Informationsterminal, das zumindest ein Grundgehäuse, einen Bildschirm und eine Ein- und/oder Ausgabevorrichtung aufweist.
Informationsterminals der gattungsgemäßen Art sind in vielerlei Ausführungsformen bekannt und werden in Banken, Geschäftshäusern, Behörden und Museen, aber auch in Betriebs- oder Produktionsräumen der Industrie eingesetzt und verwendet. Das Terminal weist häufig einen Kartenleser, der als Magnetkartenleser oder Chipkartenleser ausgebildet ist, auf. Der Terminalbenutzer gibt hier seine Magnet- oder Chipkarte ein, die seine persönlichen Daten enthält und kann dann am Gerät ihn betreffende persönliche Informationen abrufen, wie beispielsweise seine Kontostanddaten an einem Kontoauszugsdrucker. Darüber hinaus kann eine Tastatur zur Eingabe von Informationen vorgesehen sein. Des Weiteren ist das Terminal vorzugsweise mit einem Drucker versehen, damit die abgerufenen Daten auf Papier ausgedruckt werden können. Die Informationsterminals der gattungsgemäßen Art sind hinsichtlich der Anordnung des Bildschirmes und der Ein- und Ausgabevorrichtung so ausgelegt, dass eine Person ein derartiges Gerät in stehender Haltung benutzen kann. Die Informationsterminals befinden sich daher häufig im Randbereich von Geh- und Transportwegen, da sie dort leicht zugänglich sind. Insbesondere in Umgebungen wie Industriebetrieben kann es jedoch zu Beschädigungen durch Transportfahrzeuge wie Hubwagen kommen, die versehentlich mit dem Terminal kollidieren.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, einen Schutz eines Informationsterminals der gattungsgemäßen Art zu ermöglichen.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, dass dem Informationsterminal ein Rammschutz zugeordnet ist. Insbesondere ist vorgesehen, eine Bodenplatte vorzusehen, auf der das Grundgehäuse des Informationsterminals aufsteht. An der Bodenplatte kann ein Rammschutz befestigt werden, welcher vorteilhafterweise die Seitenwandbereiche und den Rückwandbereich des Grundgehäuses vertikal umschließt.
Damit ist ein weitgehender Schutz des Grundgehäuses gegen mechanische Beschädigungen bei Terminals, die insbesondere in Betriebs- und Produktionsräumen aufgestellt werden, gewährleistet.
Des Weiteren ist in einer vorteilhaften Weiterentwicklung der Erfindung, die auch unabhängig betrachtet werden kann, vorgesehen, dem Informationsterminal eine Stehhilfe zuzuordnen. Ein Terminalbenutzer kann sich somit während der Bedienungszeit bei Bedarf an dieser Stehhilfe abstützen, wodurch eine erleichterte und bequemere Bedienung insgesamt möglich ist.
Nach einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, dass die Stehhilfe relativ zum Grundgehäuse beweglich ist. Hierdurch wird es möglich, die Stehhilfe bei Nichtgebrauch relativ nahe an das Grundgehäuse platzsparend heranzubewegen und erst bei Bedarf in eine Gebrauchsstellung zu bringen. Vorteilhafterweise ist die Stehhilfe an der Bodenplatte angeschlossen, auf welcher das Informationsterminal aufsteht.
Weitere Merkmale der Erfindung sind Gegenstand weiterer Unteransprüche. Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung ist in den beigefügten Zeichnungen dargestellt und wird im Folgenden näher beschrieben.

In den Zeichnungen ist mit dem Bezugszeichen 2 ein Informationsterminal bezeichnet, das auf einem insgesamt mit dem Bezugszeichen 1 bezeichneten Gestell, welches im folgenden noch näher erläutert wird, abgestellt ist. Das Informationsterminal 2 weist ein Grundgehäuse 2a, einen Bildschirm 2b, eine Eingabevorrichtung 2c und eine Ausgabevorrichtung 2d auf. Die Eingabevorrichtung 2c kann als Tastatur und/oder Kartenleser ausgebildet sein.
Das Gestell 1 umfasst im Wesentlichen eine Bodenplatte 3, einen an der Bodenplatte 3 befestigten Rammschutz 4 und eine Stehhilfe 5, welche dem Informationsterminal 2 zugeordnet ist. Die Grundfläche der Bodenplatte 3 ist größer als die Projektionsfläche des aufzunehmenden Terminals 2, so dass die besagte Bodenplatte 3 nach allen Seiten über dem auf der Bodenplatte 3 abgestellten Informationsterminals 2 hinaus vorsteht.
Der an der Bodenplatte 3 befestigte Rammschutz umfasst das Grundgehäuse 2a des Terminals 2 in vertikaler Richtung vorzugsweise im Bereich der beiden einander gegenüberliegenden Seitenwände und der Rückseite des Terminals, während die Vorder- oder Bedienungsseite frei zugänglich bleibt. Im vorderen Bereich des Terminals ist die angesprochene Stehhilfe 5 angeordnet. Wie aus Figur 5 besonders deutlich hervorgeht, besteht der Rammschutz 4 vorzugsweise aus zwei im Bereich der Seitenflächen des Terminals 2 festlegbaren Rohrrahmen 6 und aus zwei im Bereich der Rückseite des Terminals 2 vorgesehenen Querstreben 7, über welche die beiden Rohrrahmen 6 im rückwärtigen Bereich miteinander verbunden sind.
Außerdem ist im Bereich der Rückseite des Gestelles 1 noch eine das Terminal 2 nach oben deutlich überragende Rückwand 8 vorgesehen. Diese Rückwand 8 kann als weithin sichtbares Hinweisschild für den Stellplatz des Informationsterminals 2 dienen. Die Rohrrahmen 6 sind vorzugsweise aus Vierkantrohren hergestellt und bieten somit einen massiven und stabilen Schutz gegen mechanische Beschädigungen eines auf der Bodenplatte 3 abgestellten Informationsterminals 2 beispielsweise durch Gabelstapler, Handkarren oder andere Transportmittel, die beispielsweise in einem Produktions- oder Betriebsraum benutzt werden. Sie können jedoch auch aus einem Rundrohr hergestellt sein. Rückseitig ist das Informationsterminal 2 durch die Querstreben 7 und gegebenenfalls die Rückwand 8 gegen mechanische Beschädigungen geschützt.
Die Stehhilfe 5, die dem Informationsterminal 2 im Bereich seiner Bedienungsseite zugeordnet ist, besteht im dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel aus einem Stützbalken 9, der an einem Schwenkhebel 10 frei auskragend befestigt ist. Der Schwenkhebel 10 ist in seinem unteren Endbereich an einem Rohrrahmen 6 schwenkbar gelagert. Dabei ist der mögliche Schwenkwinkel für den Schwenkhebel 10 begrenzt. In einer möglichen Endstellung liegt der Stützbalken 9 in seinem minimalen Abstand zu dem auf der Grundplatte 3 abgestellten Terminal 2 und in der anderen möglichen Endstellung nimmt der Stützbalken 9 seinen maximalen Abstand zum Terminal 2 ein. Die letztgenannte Position ist dabei die Gebrauchsstellung, in der sich eine des Terminal 2 nutzende Bedienungsperson am Stützbalken 5 abstützen kann. Um sicher zu stellen, dass nach einer Benutzung der Stehhilfe diese wieder in ihre Nichtgebrauchsstellung zurückbewegt wird, kann die Stehhilfe 5, wie in Figur 4 gezeigt, mit einer Gasdruckfeder 11 gekoppelt sein, welche bei Abklappen des Stützbalkens 9 in seine Stützposition gespannt wird und bei Freigabe des Stützbalkens 9 die Stehhilfe 5 wieder in ihre Ausgangsstellung zurückschwenkt.
Alternativ zu der erwähnten Gasdruckfeder 11 können hier natürlich auch andere Kraftspeicher Verwendung finden.
In Figur 4 ist auch deutlich zu erkennen, dass die Stehhilfe 5 bzw. deren Schwenkhebel 10 um einen bodenseitigen Drehpunkt 12 verschwenkbar ist. Alternativ zu der Festlegung der Stehhilfe 5 an einem Rohrrahmen 6 des Rammschutzes 4 kann diese auch unmittelbar an der Bodenplatte 3 befestigt werden, ebenso besteht die Möglichkeit, die Stehhilfe 5 am Grundgehäuse 2a des Terminals 2 anzuschließen. Darüber hinaus kann die Stehhilfe 5 auch unmittelbar bodenseitig festgelegt werden.
Der Stützbalken 9 kann in seinem Querschnitt kreisförmig ausgebildet sein oder auch eine Ovalform aufweisen. Beide Querschnittsformen ermöglichen ein angenehmes Abstützen, da scharfe Kanten nicht vorhanden sind. Ein O- valbalken bietet darüber hinaus den Vorteil, dass zumindest ein Teilbereich des Stützbalkens 9 eben oder nahezu eben gestaltet ist, so dass dieser ebene Bereich bei Bedarf auch als Unterlage für einen Notizzettel genutzt werden kann, auf dem sich eine das Terminal 2 bedienende Person wichtige Informationen notieren möchte.
Abweichend vom dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel kann die Stehhilfe 5 auch aus einem Stützbalken 9 bestehen, der frei auskragend an einer an einem Rohrrahmen 6 etwa horizontal verschiebbar geführten Schiene befestigt ist. Auch bei dieser Version kann über eine Rückholfeder oder ähnliche Mechanismen ein selbsttätiges Zurückbewegen des Stützbalkens 9 in seine Nicht- gebrauchsstellung bewirkt werden.
Die Bodenplatte 3 kann bei Bedarf bodenseitig festgelegt werden, beispielsweise durch Schrauben.
Aus Stabilitätsgründen sind die Bodenplatte 3, die Rohrrahmen 6 und die Querstrebe 7 bzw. die Querstreben 7 aus Metall gefertigt. Gleiches gilt auch für die tragenden Teile der Stehhilfe 5. Die Rückwand 8 kann beliebig aus Metall, aus Kunststoff, aus Holz oder einem holzartigen Werkstoff gefertigt sein, da diese Rückwand 8 nicht unbedingt eine das Terminal 2 schützende Funktion ausüben muss. Der Stützbalken 9 der Stehhilfe 5 kann vorteilhafterweise in seinem stützwirksamen Bereich mit einer Polsterung versehen sein, welche die Nutzung der Stehhilfe 5 durchaus angenehmer machen kann.

Claims

Patentansprüche
1. Informationsterminal (2), das zumindest ein Grundgehäuse (2a), einen Bildschirm (2b) und eine Eingabevorrichtung (2c) und/oder eine Ausgabevorrichtung (2d) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass dem Informationsterminal (2) ein Rammschutz (4) zugeordnet ist.
2. Informationsterminal nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Grundgehäuse (2a) des Informationsterminals (2) auf einer Bodenplatte (3) aufsteht, und dass an der Bodenplatte (3) der Rammschutz (4) befestigt ist.
3. Informationsterminal nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Rammschutz (4) die Seitenwandbereiche und den Rückwandbereich des Grundgehäuses (2a) vertikal umschließt und aus zwei an einander gegenüberliegenden Seiten der Bodenplatte (3) befestigten Rohrrahmen (6) und mindestens einem die Rohrrahmen (6) miteinander verbindenden Querstrebe (7) im Bereich der Rückseite der Bodenplatte (3) besteht.
4. Informationsterminal nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Rohrrahmen (6) aus Vierkantrohren hergestellt sind.
5. Informationsterminal nach einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im rückseitigen Bereich der Bodenplatte (3) eine den Rammschutz (4) und das Grundgehäuse (2a) nach oben hin überragende Rückwand (8) angeschlossen ist.
6. Informationsterminal insbesondere nach einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche oder nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass dem Informationsterminal (2) eine Stehhilfe (5) zugeordnet ist, die relativ zum Grundgehäuse (2a) beweglich ist.
7. Informationsterminal nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stehhilfe (5) aus einem um einen bodenseitigen Drehpunkt (12) verschwenkbaren Schwenkhebel (10) sowie einem an diesem Schwenkhebel (10) frei auskragend befestigen Stützbalken (9) besteht.
8. Informationsterminal nach Anspruch 6 oder 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stehhilfe (5) aus einer horizontal oder nahezu horizontal verschiebbaren Schiene sowie einem daran frei auskragend befestigten Stützbalken (9) besteht.
9. Informationsterminal nach einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stehhilfe (5) am Grundgehäuse (2a) des Informationsterminals (2) angeschlossen ist.
10. Informationsterminal nach einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stehhilfe (5) an der Bodenplatte (3) angeschlossen ist.
11. Informationsterminal nach einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stehhilfe (5) mit einer Rückholeinrichtung, beispielsweise in Form einer Gasdruckfeder (11 ) o- der eines anderen Kraftspeichers ausgestattet ist.
12. Informationsterminal nach einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Stehhilfe (5) an einem der Rohrrahmen des Rammschutzes (4) angeschlossen ist.
13. Informationsterminal nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stützbalken (9) einen runden, ovalen oder anderweitig abgerundeten Querschnitt aufweist.
