Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Ölwanne (2) für eine Brennkraftmaschine, welche insbesondere aus Kunststoff besteht. Diese ist mit einer Schutzeinrichtung versehen. Die Schutzeinrichtung ist eine im Inneren der Ölwanne (2) angeordnete flexible öldichte Membran (4), welche fest mit der Ölwanne (2) verbunden ist. Unabhängig vom Ort einer möglichen Beschädigung der Ölwanne wird dadurch gewährleistet, dass das Öl von der Schutzmembran (4) aufgefangen wird und nicht über eine leckgeschlagene Wandung (2) austreten kann.
