Abstract

Hinge (9), in particular for connecting two door elements (3, 4) of a folding door (2), there being a gap (15) between the door elements (3, 4), the hinge comprising two articulated parts, each of which can be fastened to a door element (3, 4), at least one of the articulated parts (10), which is mounted to as to be displaceable relative to a support plate (12, 12'), being held in a first position by a force-exerting retaining device and being movable into a second position once the force has been overcome, thereby increasing the gap (15) between the door elements (3, 4).

Description

  • The invention relates to a hinge according to the preamble of claim 1
  • The patent application FR 2571417 discloses an example of a hinge for connecting two partial flaps of a folding flap. The object of the invention is to improve such a hinge to the effect that it is prevented that when closing a folding flap, a finger between the partial flaps can be clamped.
  • The object of the invention is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
  • Preferably, there are three variants of the displaceability of the joint part. Thus, on the one hand, it may be provided that the mounting plate is designed to connect the hinge part, which is referred to as a displaceable hinge part, displaceably mounted on one of the partial flaps, wherein the displaceable hinge part is displaceably mounted relative to this mounting plate. On the other hand, it is also possible that the displaceable hinge part, if appropriate by means of a mounting plate on one of the partial flaps is fastened and is mounted relative to a mounting plate of the second hinge part slidably. As a third variant, it is also possible to combine the former options with each other. The latter option is then particularly beneficial to use when the gap between the sub-panels to be increased by a particularly large amount.
  • All the variants according to the invention have the advantage that the joint can be realized by means of one or more, preferably linear, sliding movement (s) along one or more guideways, without the hinge having to allow structurally complicated additional pivotal or folding movements for this purpose.
  • It is advantageously provided that the displaceable hinge part is acted upon by at least one spring.
  • Another embodiment of the invention provides that in the displaceable hinge part a spring-loaded latching nose superimposed, which engages in a recess of the mounting plate.
  • A further embodiment provides that the holding device is formed by a magnet.

  • The Fig. 1 to 3 each show a cabinet with a furniture body 1, which is covered by a jaw 2. The folding flap 2 consists of two partial flaps 3, 4. The upper part of the flap 3 is attached to the top 5 of the furniture body 1 by means of hinges, the lower part of the flap 4 at the upper part of the flap 3. The lower part of the flap 4 is hinged near its lower edge on actuating arms 6 of furniture panels 7, which are mounted on the furniture side walls 8. In the illustrated embodiment, the partial flaps 3, 4 are interconnected by means of hinges 9.
  • The hinges 9 are executed in the embodiments shown as Einachsscharniere and have in a conventional manner a hinge part 10 in the form of a hinge arm and a hinge part 11 in the form of a hinge cup. In the embodiment shown, the hinge-cup-like joint part 11 is inserted into the sub-plate 3 and the hinge-arm-like joint part 10 is mounted on the sub-plate 4 by means of a mounting plate 12. It would be just as good the reverse arrangement possible.
  • The hinge part 10 is slidably mounted on the mounting plate 12, and perpendicular to the hinge axis 13. In the embodiment of the 6 and 7 stored in the hinge part 10, a spring 14 which forms the force-applying holding device. The spring 14 is supported on the mounting plate 12 and acts on the joint part 10 such that the two sub-panels 3, 4 occupy their normal position with the folding flap 2 closed, ie the joint 15 between the two partial flaps 3, 4 is relatively narrow.
  • If, when closing the folding flap 2 someone with his finger in the joint 15 between the two sub-plates 3, 4, then gives the spring 14 and the sub-plate 4 is pushed away from the sub-plate 3, i. the joint 15 is enlarged and a painful clamping of the fingers is prevented. Once the joint 15 is released again, the spring 14 pushes the hinge arm 10 back to the back and the sub-plate 4 to the sub-plate. 3
  • In the embodiment of the FIGS. 9 and 10 the hinge arm-like joint part 10 is provided with a spring-loaded locking lug 16 which, in the normal position of the sub-plates 3, 4, engages in a recess 17 in the mounting plate 12. The locking lug 16 forms the force-carrying holding device.
  • If a user of the cabinet when closing the folding flap 2 with one or more fingers get into the joint 15, so the spring-loaded nose 16 snaps out of the recess 17 and the hinge part 10 is slidable on the mounting plate 12 so that the joint 15 is wide enough not to pinch the finger (s). Subsequently, the sub-plate 4 with the mounting plate 12 again in the in the Fig. 8 shown position are pushed back, whereupon the spring-loaded nose 16 engages again.
  • Instead of the spring-loaded nose 16 can be provided as a force-carrying holding means and a magnet when the mounting plate 12 and / or the hinge part 10 are made of magnetizable material.
  • In the embodiments according to the Fig. 1 to 11 the displaceable joint part 10 is always displaceably mounted relative to a mounting plate 12, with which he on the other hand but also on the partial flap 4 can be fastened. A possible alternative to this is based on the embodiment according to the Fig. 12 to 14 explained. Here, the displaceable joint part 10 is fixed on the sub-plate 4 via a mounting plate 12. It is displaceably mounted relative to a mounting plate 12 'of the second joint part 11. This is formed in the example shown as a hinge cup, while the displaceable joint part 10 is designed as a hinge arm. In Fig. 12 the normal position is shown, in which the hinge arm 10 is held with the hinge axis 13 of the detent spring 18 and is engaged in this. The detent spring 18 forms the force-carrying holding device, which is arranged here in the second hinge part 11. Fig. 13 shows the position at which the joint 15 is maximally increased. This position is achieved when an object, such as a finger, when he closes the part flaps 3 and 4 in the joint 15 and thereby the holding force of the detent spring 18 is overcome. After overcoming the force, the pivot axis 13, by means of which the two joint parts 10 and 11 are pivotally connected to each other, in the in Fig. 13 shown second position to be moved. The movement takes place along a guide path 19 arranged in the second joint part 11, which may preferably be designed as a guide groove. The particular substantially rectilinear guide track 19 is formed in the embodiment shown obliquely to the mounting plate 12 'of the second joint part 11 extending. The hinge axis 13 is rigidly arranged in the embodiment shown on the displaceable hinge part 10 and connected thereto.
  • Once the finger lock has been released, the hinge is in the Fig. 13 shown position, then it is sufficient to push the two sub-plates 3 and 4 together so that the axis 13 slides along the guide track 19 in the direction of the detent spring 18 and engages in this again, whereby the initial state according to Figure 12 is reached again. The pivoting movements of the partial flaps 3 and 4 around the hinge axis 13 to be executed during normal operation during opening and closing of the partial flap are in Fig. 12 indicated by the double arrow 25.
  • In addition, for adjusting the two partial flaps 3 and 4 in Fig. 12 illustrated closing state of the folding flap still adjusting 23 and 24 may be provided. Thus, the device 23 may be formed like a known from other hinges depth adjustment and adjusting the opening width of the joint 15 in the position according to Fig. 12 be used. The device 24 may be analogous to hinge joints known per se and serve to align the fronts 3 'and 4' of the partial flaps 3 and 4 so that they in the Fig. 12 shown closed position are arranged in a common plane.
  • Fig. 14 shows a perspective view of the formed as a hinge cup second hinge part 11 and the detent spring 18, which is arranged on the mounting plate 12 'of the second hinge part 11.
  • The embodiment according to the 15 to 18 shows a variant in which the displaceable joint part 10 both relative to a mounting plate 12 with which it is fastened to the one flap part 4, and relative to the second hinge part 11 which is fixed to the other part flap 3, or its mounting plate 12 ' is slidably mounted. The displaceable mounting of the hinge part formed here as a hinge part 10 on the mounting plate 12 may be performed basically different. So are among others all in the Fig. 6 to 11 shown variants possible. Shown in the 15 to 18 a variant in which a spring 14 between the displaceably mounted joint part 10 and a clip-on the mounting plate 12 intermediate piece 20 is arranged. The spring 14 is supported on a retaining projection 21 of the intermediate piece 20 and a retaining projection 22 of the joint part 10. Fig. 16 shows a position in which the joint 15 is increased by a displacement of the joint part 10 relative to the mounting plate 12 and the intermediate piece 20 arranged thereon with simultaneous compression of the spring 14. In order to increase the gap 15 even further, the displaceable joint part 10 is additionally slidably mounted relative to the second joint part 11 and its mounting plate 12 '. This additional displacement is as in the embodiment of the Fig. 12 to 14 realized. Fig. 17 shows an intermediate position in which the joint 15 has been increased solely by moving the joint axis 13 along the guide track 19. Fig. 18 shows the position at maximum joint enlargement. This results from a combination of the intermediate positions according to the Fig. 16 and 17 , The opening width of the joint 15 corresponds to Fig. 18 the sum of the opening widths in the Fig. 16 and 17 ,
  • From the large number of different explicitly explained embodiments, it will be clear to the person skilled in the art that the invention is not restricted to these. The various features of the embodiments can be combined with each other, which leads to new embodiments. So it is particularly possible to replace the detent spring 18 of the second joint part 11 by a force acting over the entire adjustment spring analogous to the spring 14. In addition, it is also conceivable, for example, to connect two hinge arms or hinge pots formed in accordance with the respective embodiments via a joint axis. This would then lead to symmetrical hinges. In particular, especially the term of a mounting plate is far out to increase as the embodiments shown illustrate.

Claims (24)

  1. Hinge (9) for connecting two flap portions (3, 4) of a folding flap (2), wherein a gap (15) is defined between the flap portions (3, 4), said hinge (9) has two hinge portions (10, 11), each of which can be attached to a flap portion (3, 4), characterised in that at least one of the hinge portions (10) is displaceably mounted with respect to a mounting plate (12, 12') being fixed to a flap portion (3, 4), the hinge portion (10) is held in a first position by a force-exerting holding device operable between the mounting plate (12, 12') and the hinge portions (10, 11) and wherein the hinge portion (10) is movable into a second position after the force and release of the holding device has been overcome, wherein the gap (15) between the flap portions (3, 4) is widened by displacement of the hinge portion (10) with respect to the mounting plate (12, 12').
  2. Hinge according to claim 1, characterised in that the force-exerting device is formed by at least one spring (14).
  3. Hinge according to claim 2, characterised in that the at least one spring (14) is in the form of a coil spring and is aligned perpendicularly to the gap (15) between the flap portions (3, 4).
  4. Hinge according to one of the claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the displaceable hinge portion (10) is held behind projections of the mounting plate (12).
  5. Hinge according to claim 1, characterised in that supported in the displaceable hinge is a spring-loaded latching projection (16) which latches into a recess (17) of the mounting plate (12) and forms he holding device.
  6. Hinge according to claim 1, characterised in that the holding device is formed by a magnet.
  7. Hinge according to one of the claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the displaceable hinge portion (10) is in the form of an elongate arm.
  8. Hinge according to claim 7, characterised in that the second hinge portion (11) is of a cup-shaped configuration and comprises an axis (13) on which the hinge portion (10) in form of the elongate arm is pivotally mounted.

Hinge according to one of the claims 1 to 8, characterised in that mounting plate (12) is adapted to connect the displaceable hinge portion (10), which preferably is in the form of a hinge arm, to one of the flap portions (4), wherein the displaceable hinge portion (10) is displaceably mounted with respect to the mounting plate (12).
  10. Hinge according to claim 1, characterised in that the displaceable hinge portion (10) can be, preferably rigidly, fixed - directly or by means of a mounting plate (12) - to one of the flap portions (4) and can be displaced relative to a mounting plate (12') of the second hinge portion (11).

  14. Hinge according to one of the claims 10 to 13, characterised in that the displaceable hinge portion (10) and the second hinge portion (11) are pivotally connected with each other by means of a hinge axis (13).
  15. Hinge according to claim 14, characterised in that the hinge axis (13) is displaceably mounted along a guide track (19), preferably in a guide groove arranged thereon, with respect to the second hinge portion (11).
  16. Hinge according to claim 15, characterised in that the, preferably substantially straight, guide track (19) is aligned transversely with respect to the mounting plate (12') of the second hinge portion (11).
  17. Hinge according to one of the claims 14 to 16, characterised in that the hinge axis (13) is rigidly arranged on the displaceable hinge portion (10) or connected therewith.
  18. Hinge according to one of the claims 14 to 17, characterised in that a latching spring (18) is provided as the force-exerting holding device in the second hinge portion (11), said latching spring (18) can be latched and unlatched with the hinge axis (13).
  19. Hinge according to claim 18, characterised in that the latching spring (18) is arranged on the mounting plate (12') of the second hinge portion (11).
  20. Hinge according to claim 1, characterised in that the displaceable hinge portion (10) is displaceably mounted with respect to a first mounting plate (12), wherein the first mounting plate (12) is adapted to connect the displaceable hinge portion (10) with one of the flap portions (4) and in addition the displaceable hinge portion (10) with respect to a second mounting plate (12') of the second hinge portion, wherein the second hinge portion (11) can be attached to the other flap portion.
