Die noch feuchte warme Wäsche tritt zwischen Mulde und Bügelwalze aus und gleitet über die mit Wölbungen ausgebildete Ablagefläche. Die feuchte noch warme Wäsche hat eine Thermikwirkung so dass von unten kühle trockene Raumluft durch die Bohrungen durchtritt und so die Wäsche abkühlt und die Restfeuchtigkeit aus der Wäsche im Luftstrom mitnimmt.
