  • the monitoring of the temperature of the biomass may be used in order to control start and stop of the hygienic treatment process.
  • the temperature surveillance system may include a remote sensing system including a data logging and radio transmitting system at each container and a tele-log head station with computer and data processing software for controlling the start and stop of the hygienic treatment based on preset temperature levels.
  • the remote sensing system may secure that the temperature in each container is heated to at least 70 °C for at least one hour in order to fulfil the requirements set by the authorities.
  • the inner beam 51 may take part of the pressure delivered from the biomass above the inner beam 51 , resulting in a better stream of air from the bottom to the top of the biomass during the composting step and the hygienic treatment.
  • the tilted sidewall parts, 52a, 52 b may also take part of the pressure from the biomass during the composting step.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de compostage d'une biomasse. Ledit procédé consiste à introduire une quantité de boue dans un mélangeur, à introduire une quantité de sable dans le mélangeur, à introduire une quantité de résidus verts de récolte dans le mélangeur, à mélanger la boue, le sable et les résidus verts pour former au moins une partie de la biomasse, et à composter la biomasse. Les pourcentages en poids des quantités de boue, de sable et de résidus verts dans la biomasse correspondent, de préférence, à des valeurs prédéterminées. Les quantités de boue, de sable et de résidus verts et la teneur en eau de la boue, du sable et des résidus verts sont, de préférence, sélectionnés de manière à obtenir une biomasse contenant une teneur en eau de 40 à 65 % en poids. L'invention concerne également un système de compostage comprenant un récipient destiné à recevoir la biomasse et/ou les résidus organiques, formé de parois latérales extérieures et d'une paroi inférieure. Ledit récipient comprend un étage intérieur inférieur perforé disposé au-dessus de la paroi inférieure de manière à former une cavité inférieure entre la paroi inférieure et l'étage inférieur. Dans un premier mode de réalisation du système, le récipient peut également comprendre au moins une pièce horizontale intérieure disposée entre les parois latérales extérieures et à une certaine hauteur au-dessus de l'étage intérieur inférieur. Le récipient peut également être formé d'au moins deux parois latérales intérieures inclinées ou angulaires, chacune des deux parois latérales extérieures comprenant au moins une desdites parois latérales inclinées dans sa partie intérieure. Dans un second mode de réalisation du système, le récipient est également formé de parois latérales intérieures perforées disposées le long d'au moins une partie des parois latérales extérieures pour former des cavités latérales entre les parois latérales extérieures et la paroi latérale intérieure correspondante, avec des ouvertures entre la cavité inférieure et les cavités latérales permettant que circule un flux d'air entre lesdites cavités.
