Description

The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner according to the preamble of claim 1.

From the Scriptures US 2,958,894 a vacuum cleaner is known in which an upper and a lower housing part are connected to each other via a hinge. The vacuum cleaner includes a low voltage circuit comprising two conductors indirectly connected to a transformer via terminals on a device cap. This vacuum cleaner allows to use a high voltage power supply in a vacuum cleaner in which only a low voltage circuit extends beyond the device cap, over which the high voltage power supply can be controlled by means of a relay unit at the end of the suction hose.

The registration letter EP 0 405 488 A2 discloses a vacuum cleaner in which an electrical conductor passes through a hinge of a cover. The conductor supplies power to a socket on a hose inlet. The ladder must be of suitable type and quality to meet safety requirements and be able to withstand bending during opening and closing of the lid.

Out EP1 082 937 A2 is a generic vacuum cleaner known. The local vacuum cleaner has a device housing and a socket for an electric brush or the like, wherein the device housing in a cover closed front dust collection chamber and a covered rear housing space for receiving a suction fan optionally with speed control electronics, a cable drum for the power supply of the fan motor and the electrical connections for the socket is provided. In the solution shown there, the socket for the electric brush in the dust chamber cover is arranged and the electrical lines to the socket are hidden from the rear housing space out in the cover hinge. The local hinge lever is combined with a cable connector, so that when opening the lid of the circuit is interrupted to the socket. However, it is disadvantageous that because of the lid pivoting movements that frequently occur during use, the electrically releasable connection is exposed to a distinct closure.

On the other hand, the electrical line in the region of the pivot axis of the lid hinge when opening and closing the dust chamber lid is bent or bent by a very narrow radius in a continuous concealed in the cover hinge guide without line connector. This in turn has the disadvantage that the electrical line is exposed to high mechanical loads and there is a risk that the current-carrying wires break the electrical line. As a result, it may cause malfunction in the operation of the connected to the socket accessories such as an electric brush and in unfavorable cases may even cause a fire in the vacuum cleaner through the broken line.

The object of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of a generic vacuum cleaner, in particular to improve the vacuum cleaner to the effect that the reliability is ensured over a very long period.

According to the invention this object is achieved in that a storage compartment is provided in the housing, for automatically inserting a portion of the electrical line to form a plurality of bending regions on the electrical line during pivoting of the dust chamber cover from an open position to the dust chamber closing position of the dust chamber cover.

The fact that the running between the housing and the dust chamber cover portion of the electrical line is largely exposed and this free portion of the electrical line inserts when closing the dust chamber cover in the storage compartment according to the invention, on the one hand trapping this line section between the dust chamber cover and housing reliably prevented and the other can insert the free portion of the electrical line while forming the largest possible bending radii largely stress-free in the storage compartment. For an improved guidance of the electrical line between the housing and pivoting dust chamber cover is achieved. In the inserted position of the line section in the storage compartment several bending areas are formed with a large bending radius instead of a single bending section with a very narrow radius. The storage compartment according to the invention, the exposed portion of the electrical line also receives a reliable leadership, so it is excluded that this free portion of the electrical line could possibly be trapped between the housing of the vacuum cleaner and the dust chamber lid when closing the dust chamber lid.

Due to the storage compartment according to the invention, the free line section is bent largely low tension, since the electrical line is imposed no tight bend radius at a fixed predetermined location, but is merely guided by the formation of the storage compartment of the line section so that a largely free bending is possible in the line section, whereby the line section remains largely free of tension. Due to the largely stress-free insertion of the line section, the risk of breakage of individual wires or the entire line is minimized.

Preferably, the storage compartment is at least approximately parallelepiped-shaped and extends substantially perpendicular to the pivot axis of the dust chamber cover. The cuboid design creates a largely space-saving storage compartment, in which the line section preferably in a predetermined level bent inserted. The orientation of the storage compartment substantially perpendicular to the pivot axis avoids a lateral deflection of the line section relative to the orientation of the pivot axis of the dust chamber cover. By this measure, trapping of the line section between the housing and the dust chamber cover is reliably prevented in particular measure.

The storage compartment may preferably have a width which lies between the single and the double width of the electrical line. To the electric wire at all to be able to insert into the storage compartment, the storage compartment must be at least as wide as the diameter of the electrical line. It may be advantageous to adjust the storage compartment exactly to the diameter of the electrical line, that is, the side walls of the storage compartment are directly on the electrical line, without jamming it. In order to keep the friction between the moving electrical line and the fixed side walls of the storage compartment as low as possible, the width of the storage compartment can be chosen to be much larger than the diameter of the electrical line. So there is no line contact between the electrical line and the walls of the storage compartment but only a point contact at several points. Such a point contact at several points leads to a significantly lower friction than in a line contact. If the storage compartment is designed in double width, that is, the width of the storage compartment is twice the diameter of the electrical line, the free line section can einliegen in two levels in the storage compartment. This may be particularly advantageous if due to the spatial conditions on the vacuum cleaner, the storage compartment may be dimensioned only very small. With double width, the storage compartment can be shortened to half its length.

The storage compartment can be arranged in a housing cover covering the device. For electrical connection of the socket, the electrical line is usually contacted already existing in the vacuum cleaner electrical equipment components. Preferably, the electrical line is contacted to switching components, electronic boards or to a cable drum. If the storage compartment is integrated directly into a device cap which covers the housing part, which contains the electrical device components such as the switches, the electronic board or the cable drum, then only a very short electrical line for contacting the socket is necessary. This contributes to the cost-effective production of the vacuum cleaner. The storage compartment can be inexpensively manufactured together with the device cap as a one-piece plastic part by injection molding.

Equally inexpensive and therefore advantageous when the storage compartment having the storage compartment also has the hinge connections to which the dust compartment cover is articulated. For example, bearing eyes may be formed on the device cap, in which the hinge pins formed on the dust chamber cover engage. The bearing lugs on the device cap together with the journals of the dust chamber cover form the hinge connection. Alternatively, of course, in a constructive variation, the bearing eyes on the dust chamber cover and the journals be formed on the device cap.

The storage compartment is preferably arranged above a cable drum provided in the housing part. Such a very close arrangement of the storage compartment to the cable drum results in a very short path between storage compartment and cable drum, so that the electrical line can be made very short. This is particularly the case when the socket is connected directly to the cable drum by means of the electrical line.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the storage compartment has an opening which can be closed by a cover. Preferably, the storage compartment has an upper opening. Preferably, this opening is closed by a separate cover. Due to such an opening in the storage compartment, the free portion of the electrical line can be inserted during assembly in a simple manner in the storage compartment. The cover may be formed as a separate component and, for example, have latching lugs for their fastening, which engage in corresponding latching grooves on the storage compartment. There are also other particularly both releasable and insoluble fasteners used. Alternatively, the cover can be integrally formed, for example by means of a film hinge on the storage compartment. This has the advantage that storage compartment and cover form only a single component, the cover is not lost and still the electrical line can be mounted in a simple manner.

Both in the one-piece and in the two-part design of storage compartment and cover, the cover may have a web in an advantageous variant, which forms a strain relief for the electrical line with at least one opposite counterpart web on the storage compartment. For example, if the cover closes an upper opening of the storage compartment, the storage compartment preferably has two counter webs on its bottom inner wall, which extend in the direction of the web of the cover upwards, wherein in each case a counterpart on one side or the other of the web Cover are passed. The web or the webs and counter webs mesh with each other in a finger-like manner, forming a labyrinth-like intermediate space which has a slightly smaller width than the diameter of the electrical line. If the cover is attached to the storage compartment, the electric line between the storage compartment and cover is clamped by web and counter webs, such that the electrical line is fixed and when pulling on the free portion of the electrical line, this can not be pulled out beyond a predetermined amount. This prevents that tensile forces are exerted on the electrical contacting of the line within the vacuum cleaner when pulling on the electrical line. Damage to this electrical contact is prevented by means of the strain relief.

The cover according to the invention preferably has a recess at an edge portion. The recess serves for passing the free portion of the electrical line out of the storage compartment. The recess may be formed as a bore in the cover, but should preferably be formed as an open-edged recess on an edge portion of the cover, so that a threading through the electrical line through a possibly closed recess during assembly is no longer necessary. The open-edged recess can be provided either exclusively on the cover, or it can be provided in addition to the open-edged recess on the cover another open-edged recess preferably on the storage compartment, so that the recess is formed by an extended edge gap between the cover and storage compartment. Such a recess is particularly advantageous for mounting, since a complicated threading of the electrical line is eliminated. In this case, at first the free section of the electrical line is inserted into the storage compartment during assembly in such a way that the electrical line bears against the recess on the storage compartment. Subsequently, the cover is placed with its open-edged recess on the inserted into the storage compartment electrical line and snapped the cover at the opening of the storage compartment, for example, or clipped.

At least one of the recesses may identify a run-on slope for the electrical line. As start-up be understood any adapted to the contour of the electrical line shaping to defuse an otherwise existing sharp edge of the open-edged recess on the cover or the storage compartment, that forms a flat support for the electrical line. This has the advantage that when pulling out or pushing in the free portion of the electrical line, the surface of the electrical line slides along a defined surface and cockroaches or scratching of the electrical line is prevented on a possibly sharp-edged edge portion. A run-on slope according to the invention contributes to the extension of the service life of the electrical line and ensures a high number of pivoting movements of the dust chamber cover without resulting in functional disturbances. It may be sufficient, the run-on slope either exclusively on the cover, only on the storage compartment or on both cover and storage compartment provided. The run-up slope can also be arranged to extend inclined with respect to the vertical inlet direction. An actual inclination of the run-on slope is due to the technical conditions, that is to adapt the type of electrical line and size or arrangement of dust chamber cover and storage compartment. The adjustment should be made to the effect that the free portion of the electrical line which enters the storage compartment, a preferred direction is given, which allows a possible low-tension bending or inserting the electrical line in the storage compartment.

For a tension-free inlet of the free portion of the electrical line, a separate rib is preferably provided. Such a rib is provided for deflecting the electrical line away from a wall of the storage compartment. The rib points in particular into the storage compartment. Preferably, the rib is provided on an inner side of a wall of the storage compartment, preferably at the bottom of the storage compartment. In a cost-effective design, the rib is formed directly on the storage compartment with. The rib is arranged in particular in a central region at the bottom of the storage compartment and extends substantially vertically upwards, preferably at most to half the height of the storage compartment. When closing the dust chamber cover, the electrical line namely has the tendency to apply directly to the inner walls of the storage compartment and only after complete application of the line section on the inner walls of the storage compartment to bend. This high friction forces are overcome, which could lead to a potentially difficult closing of the dust chamber cover. To remedy this situation, a rib according to the invention is provided. As a result of the above-described rib according to the invention, the electrical line is already deflected away from the inner wall of the storage compartment at an early stage during insertion into the dust chamber, so that only a small part of the surface of the electrical line comes to lie against the inner walls of the storage compartment. As a result, not only is the friction between the electrical line and the storage compartment reduced, but the free section of the electrical line is given a preferably bending direction. Depending on the size of the storage compartment and the type of electrical line either a single rib or a plurality of ribs may be provided. These are suitably dimensioned in terms of location, orientation and height, so that a low-voltage shrinkage of the electrical line is achieved in the storage compartment. Depending on whether, for example, the electrical line is two-wire, three-wire or formed with an enlarged line cross-section, the electrical line may have a higher or lower stiffness. For example a two-wire flat cable has a significantly lower rigidity than a three-wire round cable. Likewise, the shape and size of the storage compartment plays a significant role. The ribs according to the invention for deflecting the electrical line away from a wall of the storage compartment must therefore be designed or tuned individually for each individual case.

In FIG. 2 the device cap 10 is shown in a sectional view. The section runs through the storage compartment 20, which is formed directly on the device cap 10. On the device cap 10, the dust chamber cover 6 is pivotally mounted by means of the hinge connection 11 and 12. The free portion 18 of the electrical line 16 is on the one hand by means of the clamping ribs 17 on the dust chamber cover 6 and on the other hand by means of a web 26 which is integrally formed on the cover 22, fixed. The web 26 protrudes from an inner wall of the cover 22 in the storage compartment 20 in the direction of the electrical line 16 to. The web 26 opposite two counter-ridges 27 are integrally formed on the bottom of the storage compartment 20. The free portion 18 of the electrical line 16 is clamped between the web 26 and the opposite webs 27 labyrinth-like and thus fixed in the storage compartment 20, or the device cap 10. In each case a run-on slope 25 is formed on the edge of the recess 19. At the bottom of the storage compartment 20, a rib projecting into the storage compartment 20 is formed. Upon insertion of the electrical conduit 16 during closing of the dust compartment cover 6, the free section 18 of the electrical conduit 16 slides along the starting slope 25 into the interior of the storage compartment 20. In this case, the free portion 18 comes to rest on the upper edge of the rib 28, so the free portion 18 above the rib 28 bulges upward As a result of the buckling up of the free portion 18, the electrical line 16 is inserted to save space in the interior of the storage compartment 20. The stowed position of the electric wire 16 is in FIG. 3 shown.

The FIG. 3 shows a cross section through the device cap 10 and the dust chamber cover 6. The dust chamber cover 6 is located in a closing the dust chamber 5 position. The FIG. 3 shows further in cross-section the storage compartment 20 with fully inserted free portion 18 of the electrical line 16. The free portion 18 of the electrical line 16 bulges above the rib 28 in the center of the storage compartment 20 into it. In the closed position of the dust chamber cover 6, the electrical line 16 is located on a run-on slope 25 of the open-edged recess 19 at an edge of the cover 22 at. The free portion 18 of the electrical line 16 is no longer in contact with the rib 28 due to its inherent curvature in the closed position of the dust compartment cover 6.
