Abstract
Description

- An electrical terminal comprising an electrically insulating housing (1), an electrically conducting contact element (2) stationarily arranged in said housing and having a first pair of fork-shaped receptacles including cutting surfaces, whereby said receptacles are arranged in a plane of said housing in pairs on opposite sides, open towards the side walls of the housing, and a plurality of drive elements (3,4) pivotable by means of a tool present in said housing, said drive elements being provided for keeping an electrical conductor clad with an insulating sheath against the contact element (2) to which the conductor is to be connected, the insulating sheath of said conductor when pivoted out of a first position in one of the fork-shaped receptacles of the contact element being cut by one of said drive elements and a segment of the conductor so bared of insulation being moved into conducting clamped contact with the contact element (2), characterized in that the contact element comprises a second pair of fork-shaped receptacles (11,12) adapted to connect one conductor, said receptacles being configured pairwise-open toward the side walls of the housing on opposite sides, the first pair (9,10) being situated in a lower housing plane and the second pair (11, 12) being situated in a housing plane spaced above said lower plane, the first pair (9,10) of said receptacles being arranged more outside than the overlying second pair, and the pivotable drive elements (3,4,5,6) which cooperate with the receptacles are correspondingly linked in the housing (1) in a pairwise manner and in different planes.
- The electrical terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the contact element (2) is integral and thereby all said receptacles (9,10,11,12) for conductors to be connected are electrically interconnected.
- The electrical terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the contact element (2) further comprises two electrically separate parts each of which including one of the first pair or the second pair of receptacles.
- The electrical terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein allocated drive elements (3,4,5,6) are installed for at least two electrically connected receptacles (9,10,11,12).
- The electrical terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the contact element (2) is substantially configured as a prone H comprising a shortened upper leg (8) at both ends and open fork-shaped receptacles (9,10,11,12) at both leg ends.
