Abstract

The baseplate has a semi-rigid material plate comprising side flaps and a central panel (13) inserted between cross-pieces (6) that cover a lower surface of a pallet. Each side flap comprises holding tabs embedded in cuts arranged in opposite vertical sides (51, 52) of a packing carton (1), where the baseplate is made of same material as that of the packing carton and is pre marked with folds. Adjacent panels between the flaps and the central panel cover the upper surface of the plate. An independent claim is also included for method for holding a packing carton on a pallet using a stowage base.

Description

The invention relates to packing box securing soles according to the preamble of claim 1 as well as to a method of receiving such a box on a pallet.

Currently, pallet packaging cartons is performed by stacking these cartons next to each other and / or on others, covering the stack of a cap, and then wrapping a set of a banner plastic to secure the whole before handling the pallet by a forklift.

The patent FR 2530222 discloses a composite package of the type associating a wooden base pallet, walls or cardboard belt. This packaging is mainly characterized in that a cardboard bottom plate is fixed on the pallet, and each wall is extended by a flap to be placed in part between the bottom plate and the pallet. This patent FR 2,530,222 describes a delivery sole according to the preamble of claim 1.

The applicant has sought a way to make the first box of the pallet solidarity to facilitate palletizing operations.

The invention relates to a sole for securing at least one packing crate on a rectangular handling pallet with four lateral edges and comprising a plate provided with sleepers on which it rests, said sole consisting of a plate of material semi-rigid body having at least two lateral cargo securing flaps and a central lashing panel below the pallet at least one adjacent lashing panel between the side flaps and the central panel whose edges of the adjacent panels are arranged to coincide with one or the other of two opposite lateral edges without leaving significant functional play, and the central panel of the sole is arranged to fit under the pallet between the cross members without leaving significant functional play.

The weight of the carton serves to further secure the pallet to the carton.

Advantageously, the sole is of the same material as the packing box, and is pre-marked folds, so as to be stored flat and to make it easy to take by folding its wrapping shape around the pallet and the carton at the time of loading the carton on the pallet

Advantageously, the side flaps each comprise at least a lashing tab fitting into cutouts in opposite vertical faces of the carton.

This avoids the use of non-native means or attachment tools.

The invention also relates to a method of securing a carton on a pallet using the above lashing sole comprising the steps of claim 4.

The invention will be better understood with the aid of the following description of an example of a tie-down sole according to the invention, with reference to the appended drawing, in which:

• the figure 1 is a plan view of the sole according to the invention, before its folding;
• the figure 2 , is a perspective view of the same sole, after folding, in its mounted state, in the absence of the carton and the pallet;
• the figure 3 , is a perspective view of the same sole, after mounting and loading the cardboard on the pallet; and
• the Figures 4 and 5 are the perspective representation of an example of locking a tab of the sole in a cut out of the packaging board, before and after locking.

With reference to the figure 1 the lashing flange 10, here represented flat, before folding, consists of a board of cardboard, slotted and cut so as to have a rectangular central panel of visible side marked 13 of width H and length T, and two adjacent lashing panels identified by their visible faces 11 and 12, rectangular length L and widths h1 and h2 such that the sum S = h1 + h2 is less than or equal to H, h1 and h2 may preferably be equal.

At the end of the two adjacent panels of faces 11 and 12, at each end, are provided lateral flaps of faces 21, 22, and 23, 24, at the end of which are cut tabs 41, 42, 43, 44 known as lashing extended spurs 31,32,33,34.

This gives the disposition of the surfaces composing the soleplate 10 which is shown in FIG. figure 2 , where the opposite faces of the visible faces X on the figure 1 are marked X '.

In this arrangement, the side flaps 21 and 23 form, with the tabs 41 and 43, a single side lashing flap 21, 23 with a single lashing tab 41, 43, and the side flaps 22 and 24 form, with the tabs 42 and 44, a single lateral lashing flap 22, 24 with a single lashing tab 42, 44, of the two opposite faces 51 and 52 of the packaging carton 1, the central panel 13 serving as a tie-down a pallet 2, as will now be specified with reference to the figure 3 .

The sole is represented in the same arrangement as on the figure 2 , with carton 1 and pallet 2.

The pallet 2 is rectangular of the same base as the cardboard 1 and comprises a plate 3 with an upper and lower face, and four lateral edges 5. The plate 3 rests on two cross members 6 spaced a distance substantially equal to or slightly greater than the width T and dimensions allowing the handling of the pallet 2 by forklift.

With the soleplate 10 in place, the central panel 13 is inserted under the pallet 2 between the crosspieces 6, covering the lower surface of the plate, and the adjacent panels 11 and 12 cover the upper surface of the plate, to serve as a link between the carton 1 and the pallet 2.

The panels 11 and 12 are parallel to the panel 13 and distant from the thickness e of the pallet 2.

The central panel 13 of the soleplate 10 is arranged to fit under the pallet 2 between the crosspieces 6 without leaving a significant functional clearance, but nevertheless so as to be easily inserted between them, and the folds 25, 26, 27, 28 side flaps 22, 24 and 21, 23 are arranged to coincide each with one or the other of two opposite side edges 5 of the pallet 2, so as to prohibit the sole 10, and therefore the carton 1 , any horizontal movement from one cross to the other.

Similarly folds 16, 17, 18, 19 are arranged so that both edges 16 and 18 of adjacent panels 11 and 12 coincide with one or other of the two other side edges 5 of the pallet 2 without leaving significant functional play, so as to prohibit any horizontal displacement of the sole 10, and therefore the cardboard 1 as will be seen below, perpendicular to the previous displacement.

With reference to Figures 4 and 5 cutouts 7 formed in two opposite vertical faces 51 and 52 of the packing box 1 can serve as handling handles of the carton 1 and allow to fit the lashing tabs 41, 42, 43, 44. Legs 8 are arranged to block the interlocking. The lugs 31, 32, 33, 34 prevent the lugs 41, 42, 43, 44 from sliding out of the blanks 7.

But the tabs 41, 42, 43, 44 may more simply be arranged to be folded over the upper edge 9 of the faces 51 and 52.

Once the tabs 41, 42, 43, 44 and the lugs 31, 32, 33, 34 nested in the cutouts 7, the cardboard 1 can no longer move horizontally perpendicular to the movement of a crossbar to the other above mentioned.

• the tabs 41, 42, 43, 44 are introduced into the openings 7.

The sole 10 may be of the same material as the packaging carton 1, for example made of a slotted cardboard plate, marked with folds 16, 17, 18, 19, 25, 26, 27, 28, so as to be stored flat and make it easy to fold its wrapping shape around the pallet and carton when loading the cardboard on the pallet. The sole can also be made of any semi-rigid material such as cellular sheets, plastic, marketed under the trademark Akylux® by the applicant.

Claims (4)

1. A support element (10) for securing at least one packaging case (1) on a rectangular handling pallet (2) with four lateral edges (5) and comprising a tray (3) equipped with cross pieces (6) on which it rests, said support element being formed by a plate made of semi-rigid material characterised by the fact that it comprises at least two lateral flaps (21, 22, 23, 24) for securing to the case (1), a central panel (13) for securing beneath the pallet (2) and at least one adjacent panel (11, 12) for securing between the lateral flaps and the central panel the edges (16, 18) of which are arranged to coincide with one or other of two opposing lateral edges (5), the central panel (13) of the support element (10) being arranged to be inserted beneath the pallet (2) between the cross pieces (6).
2. The support element according to Claim 1 characterised by the fact that it is made of the same material as the packaging case (1) and is pre-marked with fold lines (16, 17, 18, 19, 25, 26, 27, 28).
3. The support element according to either of Claims 1 and 2, characterised by the fact that the lateral flaps (21, 22, 23, 24) each comprise at least one securing tab (41, 42, 43, 44) interlocking into cut-outs (7) made in opposing vertical surfaces (51, 52) of the case (1).
4. A method of securing a case (1) on a pallet (2) using the support element for securing (10) according to any of Claims 1 to 3, comprising the following steps:

   - the pallet (2) is placed on the support element (10), the latter having its central panel (13) between the cross pieces (6),

   - the adjacent panels (11, 12) are folded back in relation to the central surface (13), according to the fold lines (16, 17, 18, 19), completely over the tray (3) of the pallet (2),

   - the lateral flaps (21, 22, 23, 24) are folded at a right angle in relation to the adjacent panels (11, 12),

   - the case (1) is placed on the adjacent panels (11, 12) of the support element (10), and the lateral flaps (21, 22, 23, 24) are applied to the vertical surfaces (51, 52) of the case (1),

   - the tabs (41, 42, 43, 44) are introduced into the cut-outs (7).
