- A device for the treatment, and more particularly the pressing, of a rolled web comprising at least two pressure cylinders (1), positioned on either side of the web, transversally with respect to the feed direction thereof, each of said pressure cylinders (1) being applied onto the web by means of a plurality of rollers (21, 22) distributed on the length of the cylinder along at least two rotation axes (3, 4) parallel thereto, the rollers being placed in a staggered way from one rotation axis (3) to the other (4) of said at least two rotation axes (3, 4), having, as a function of the longitudinal axis of each pressure cylinder, generatrix portions opposite and overlapping each other so as to create on the whole or a part of the length of said pressure cylinder a continuous resting of the rollers, characterized in that said rollers (21, 22) are distributed on a plurality of near bearing blocks (6), each one being provided with a jack (5), said jack (5) being capable of regulating the cylinder application efforts by acting on the corresponding bearing block (6), each bearing block (6) having two rotation axes for at least two rollers (21, 22), each intermediate bearing block (6) having two side rollers (21) capable of protruding from said bearing block to get engaged with the side rollers of the near bearing blocks (6).
- A device according to claim 1, wherein each bearing block (6) is capable of holding a central roller (22) on one of the two rotation axes, and capable of holding said two side rollers (21) on the other of the two rotation axes.
- A device according to claim 2, wherein the length of the central roller (22) is equal to the sum of the lengths of the side rollers (21).
- A device according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein each cylinder (1) and the respective retaining rollers are supported by a bar (7) positioned in a longitudinal housing (8) of a cross-bar (9) constituting an element of the device frame, and wherein the assembly composed of the bar, the rollers and the cylinder can be extracted from its housing by one of its ends.
- A device according to claim 4, wherein said bearing blocks (6) are, each, provided with a rod (10) going through the bar (7) and, without any pushing action by the jacks, the bearing blocks (6) are pressed on the horizontal face of the bar which is near thereof by springs (11) compressed between the bar (7) and the heads (21) of the rods.
- A device according to claim 5, wherein the jacks (5) are mounted on said cross-bars (9) so that the piston rod of each jack is aligned with the rod (10) of said at least one bearing block (6) so as to be capable of pushing the rod through the bores (14) drilled through the cross-bars, the piston rods being retractable in said bores to allow the dismounting of the bars (9).
- A device according to one of claims 1 to 6, including means for controlling the supply of a pressurized fluid of said jacks as a function of the width of the web and the position thereof between the cylinders, so that the application efforts of the cylinders on the web are only or mainly exerted on the part of the cylinders contacting the web.
- A device according to one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the rollers are made of steel or plastic material.
