Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Umformen eines Hohlformteils (1), bei dem in einem Umformbereich (U) mittels einer plastischen Materialumformung ein Übergang (W) derart geformt wird, dass an dem Hohlformteil ein erster Abschnitt (1a) mit einer größeren Quererstreckung sowie ein zweiter Abschnitt (1b) mit einer kleineren Quererstreckung gebildet sind.
Bei den erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren ist vorgesehen, dass in einem ersten Verfahrensschritt an dem Hohlformteil (1) in dem Umformbereich (U) mittels einer plastischen Materialumformung eine Wandverdickung (V) erzeugt wird. In einem nachfolgenden Verfahrensschritt wird in dem Umformbereich mittels einer plastischen Materialumformung ein Übergang (W) geformt, wobei der umformbereich wenigstens teilweise zwischen dem ersten Abschnitt (1a) und dem zweiten Abschnitt (1b) liegt und den Übergang wenigstens abschnittsweise umfasst.
Anwendung beispielsweise zur Herstellung von Getriebe- oder Antriebswellen.
