Definitions
- the invention relates to a support element for the human body, in particular a backrest, a chair or armchair.
- a component for receiving forces which component in the longitudinal direction has a blunt and a pointed end and a flexible outer skin, which covers the component from blunt to pointed end on two sides. At the blunt end of the component is to be fastened, while the pointed end is to project freely.
- the outer skin forms a coherent, one-piece unit on the underside and the upper side of the component. Bottom and top are connected by cross struts. On the inside of the outer skin connecting means are formed to the cross struts. In these connecting means, the cross struts are hinged. Thanks to the parallel cross struts, the flexible and contoured outer skin is held to a deformable profile.
- This structure of the component ensures that it deflects against a force acting on the outer skin. It is suggested in this document that such a component could be installed in chair backs or seats.
- two scaffolds with scaffolding should probably be called such a component
- the blunt ends of which are connected to each other via a shaft, creating a chair that is able to accommodate a person and to adapt to the anatomy of the person.
- a seat cushion and a backrest are shown, both of which are designated by the reference numeral for a component.
- a support element corresponding to the component described above which has a skeleton, which skeleton has a skin on which a plurality of ribs are articulated.
- the skin forms a flexible support surface for supporting a sitting force exerted by a body on the skin.
- This skeleton acts together so that it is deformed due to the seat force at least partially contrary to the direction of the seat force.
- the skeleton also has at least one spring element which connects the skin and / or ribs, or the skin integrally forms a backrest and a seat surface.
- the spring force of the spring element causes in particular an adaptation of the shape of the support element.
- the spring element is arranged in a diagonal of the rectangle, which rectangle is formed by two ribs and the skin arranged at both ends of the ribs.
- An office chair with flexible backrest is also known from the utility model DE 20 2004 010 625 U1 , which represents the closest prior art and discloses the preamble of claim 1.
- Such chair backrests have the advantage that the backrest conforms to the shape of the thoracic spine with a concave deformation and supports it equally at every point.
- the adjustment in the concave region of the backrest is due to the shape of the supported back and the forces exerted by this on the backrest forces.
- the support surface should be adapted in a preferred embodiment of the invention also transversely to the longitudinal extent of the spine and the support member to the back shape.
- the inventive support element has an auto-adaptive longitudinal structure.
- This has a front-side first longitudinal element with arms or two, for example, arranged on cantilevers, first longitudinal elements, and at least a second, rear longitudinal member, which via Spacers are hinged or flexibly connected to each other and at least one point are connected angle stiff with each other and at a second location have a support point on which a support can be arranged.
- the support surface is formed or supported by a transverse element.
- At least one rear-side second longitudinal element running parallel to the first longitudinal element is rigidly connected to the first longitudinal element or the first longitudinal elements at a connection point.
- the second longitudinal element is mounted on a support point, which is spaced from the connection point with respect to the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal elements.
- a plurality of spacers hold the second longitudinal element at a distance from the first longitudinal elements. These spacers are each pivotally connected to at least one of the first longitudinal elements and the at least one second longitudinal element.
- the second longitudinal element is connected to two longitudinally spaced apart with respect to their longitudinal connection points with the first longitudinal element angle stiff.
- the support point is formed between the two connection points. This results in a mechanism acting beyond the support point between the first and the second longitudinal element. This mechanism adjusts beyond the support point, which is advantageously arranged in the lumbar region of the supported back, on the shape of the supported thoracic spine and also supports the lumbar spine and not least the pelvic edge also cuddly. A recline in the area of the thoracic spine causes increased pressure against the edge of the pelvis.
- the support point is advantageously formed in a backrest on one side of a middle between the two connection points. It is preferably arranged in the region of the lumbar spine.
- a support is arranged.
- This support supports the support element and connects it, for example, with the frame of a chair.
- This support can be connected, for example, cushioned pivotally connected to the second longitudinal element.
- it is fixed in its position relative to the second longitudinal element and thus arranged unschwenkbar on the second longitudinal element.
- the adaptation of such a backrest takes place primarily on the change in shape of the longitudinal structure formed from the first longitudinal element, the second longitudinal element and spacers.
- An adjustment by inclination change of the support element in total can be additionally provided.
- the transverse elements are preferably separated from the spacers.
- the separation of spacers and cross members has the advantage that the movements of the transverse elements are independent of the movements of the spacers.
- the cross members may therefore remain aligned with the surface of the spine, while the spacers of the deformation of the longitudinal structure are pivoted correspondingly to the longitudinal members.
- the spacers may be brackets hingedly hinged to the first and second longitudinal members. If a second longitudinal element is provided, which runs centrally with respect to the support element and is connected to peripheral first longitudinal elements, then the spacers also bridge the distance of the first to the second longitudinal element in the direction transverse to the longitudinal extent of the longitudinal structures.
- the transverse elements are preferably lamellae, which are articulated hinged to the longitudinal structures.
- Such slats can conform to the back shape by twisting in the articulation points, provided that the pivot axis of this articulated connection between the transverse element and the longitudinal structures is approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal orientation of the longitudinal structures.
- the pivot axis of the articulated connection between the transverse elements and the longitudinal structures lies in front of a support structure formed by the transverse elements.
- the cross member is automatically aligned according to the surface of the supported body.
- these transverse elements are preferably formed adapted to the body shape to be supported.
- this anatomical configuration of the transverse elements optionally comprises a general, concave curvature in this direction, a recess for a spine, a transverse curvature, slightly convex in the region of the lumbar support, slightly concave in the region of the thoracic spine.
- the longitudinal structures are expediently shaped adapted to the body shape to be supported. They therefore have a predetermined shape, e.g. The S-shaped curvature of the spine is modeled after.
- the support element is conveniently held and supported on the second longitudinal element.
- the support attached to the second longitudinal element does not hinder the function of the longitudinal structures connected by the spacers.
- the second longitudinal element absorbs compressive forces and the first longitudinal elements essentially tensile forces
- the second longitudinal element is stiffer than the first longitudinal element.
- the rigidity of the second longitudinal element can be adapted in an advantageous embodiment of the invention. The adaptation takes place, for example, by insertion in the longitudinal direction of the longitudinal element of the second longitudinal element stiffening rods or strips.
- the second longitudinal element may be formed in two layers.
- the second longitudinal element can be arranged centrally, in particular between the two first longitudinal elements. This allows to provide the second longitudinal element in a singular.
- second longitudinal elements may also be two second longitudinal elements. Such may be provided side by side centrally between the front-side first longitudinal elements. They can also each be just as marginal as the first longitudinal elements in the immediate vicinity of these trained.
- the support element is preferably supported on the second longitudinal element.
- the support is therefore conveniently carried out in a centrally arranged second longitudinal member centrally, but peripherally, at two marginal second longitudinal elements.
- each backrest 11 of a chair are shown. If such backrests 11 represent the most important application of support elements 11 according to the invention, other support elements 11 should nevertheless not be excluded.
- auto-adaptive longitudinal structures 13 are provided, which have the desired kinematics. These longitudinal structures 13 have a front-side tension element 15 and a rear-side pressure element 17, which are connected to one another via spacers 19.
- the front side of the support element 11 is formed in each case by a support surface 21.
- This support surface 21 is shown only in Figures 1,12 and 13.
- This support surface 21 is the front of a thin padding 23 in front of a skeletal support structure 25.
- This skeletal support structure 25 has at least one autoadaptive longitudinal structure 13 that can accommodate a back or other supported body part.
- This longitudinal structure 13 comprises one or two front-side, first longitudinal elements 15, and one or two rear-side, second longitudinal elements 17 running parallel to the first longitudinal element 15. In theory, more than two of these longitudinal elements 15 could also be present on the front or rear side with one or preferably two such first longitudinal elements 15 and at least one second longitudinal element 17 the desired adaptability of the support element 11 be achieved.
- the second longitudinal element 17 is rigidly connected to the first longitudinal element 15 at one or two connection points 27. This means that the angles with which the two longitudinal elements 15, 17 collide remain the same regardless of the deformation of the longitudinal structure 13.
- the longitudinal structure 13 is mounted at a distance from the connection point support point 29 (not shown in Figures 1 to 9).
- a plurality of spacers 19 which hold the second longitudinal element 17 at a distance from the first longitudinal element 15 between the connection point 27 and the support point 29 are respectively elastically or articulated to the first longitudinal element 15 and also elastically or hingedly connected to the second longitudinal element 17.
- Such a longitudinal structure 13 may have at one end a connection point 27, as in FIG. 10 or 11, or, as in the remaining figures, at two ends each a connection point 27.
- Two elongate edge parts (always identical in the figures to the front longitudinal element 15) which extend in the same direction as the longitudinal elements 15, 17 or a series of arms 37 extended horizontally to the edge of the support element 11 are on the auto-adaptive longitudinal structure 13 supported. They assume their movements, and carry at least one transverse element 39 forming or supporting the support surface.
- This transverse element extends from one edge to the other edge of the support element 11 and is fastened to the edge parts 15 or cantilevers 37.
- a multiplicity of flexibly supported, mutually independent transverse elements 37 can form or support the support surface 21.
- a single transverse element could, for example, consist of a plurality of prakitsch independent transverse elements, which are, however, interconnected via flexible connecting webs and therefore can be produced as a whole as a part.
- the autoadaptive longitudinal structure 13 is formed in two lateral frame parts.
- the spacers 19 are formed by short spacer blades, which are fastened to the longitudinal structure 13 in a tiltable manner relative to the pressure element 17 and the tension element 15.
- two spacer blades 19 are formed on a rib 39 and axially aligned in Figures 1 to 3 to each other.
- the rib 39 connects to a web 41, the spacer blades 19 of the left-side longitudinal structure 13 with the spacer blades of the right-side longitudinal structure 13.
- the rib 39 is shown in Figure 3 once without cushioning body 43 and once with a cushion body 43.
- the cushion body 43 surrounds the web 41 and supports the central region of the support surface 21 elastically.
- the spacer blades 19 are not aligned axially with each other.
- the Verkippachsen both formed on a rib 39 spacer blades 19 are directed at an angle of about 120 to 140 degrees to each other. This results in a tilting of the slats 19 as a result of a pressing force on the support surface, a distortion of the rib 39, in particular of the web 41 of the rib 39.
- the stored in the twisting force can be used as a restoring force for the backrest 11.
- the twisting can be provided such that the backrest 11 deforms concavely in a horizontal section.
- FIGS. 7 to 9 show a backrest 11 in which a described auto-adaptive longitudinal structure 13 is integrated horizontally (13 ') and vertically (13) in a frame 31.
- the support surface is a not shown, stretched over the frame 31 elastic tissue that participates in the movements in both directions.
- the backrest 11 may also be preformed concavely in the horizontal direction.
- the frame 31 may also, unlike shown in Figures 1 to 8, be provided with consistently equal slats as spacers 19.
- the pressure element 17 and the tension element 15 can be arranged at a distance from one another, as long as a displacement of pressure and tension element 15,17 against each other in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the structure 13 is prevented.
- Such a displacement can already be prevented by the fact that the spacers 19 are not arranged displaceably and not pivotably on the pressure element 17 and tension element 15.
- the auto-adaptive longitudinal structure 13 is formed by one or two triangular structures which have a connection point 27 at one end only.
- the connection point 27 the pressure element 17 and the tension element 15 are connected to each other with angular stiffness.
- the longitudinal structures 13 are connected at the tip end rigid angle with each other and down they have at the blunt end a support point 29, where they are firmly anchored. Between the support point 29 and the connection point 27, the pressure element 17 and the tension element 15 are held by means of spacers 19 at a distance from each other.
- the spacers 19 are formed by brackets which are articulated both on the pressure element and on the tension element.
- FIG. 10 two such longitudinal structures 13 are arranged laterally. Between them, transverse elements 41 are arranged, which are articulated on the longitudinal structures 13.
- the cross members 41 are formed in Figures 10 and 11 as slats, which are rotatably mounted about pivot axes and nestle under the load of the shape of the supported load.
- the transverse elements 41 are such that they lie in contact with one another by twisting lamellae.
- this lamella 41 is articulated on a frame 31, and the frame 31 and lamella 41 are covered with a thin padding 23.
- the lamellae 41 are articulated on the frame 31 and are pivoted by the load to be supported such that their support side is directed perpendicular to the load.
- the slats 41 In the spine region, the slats 41 have a cutout 45 which is filled up with the padding 23.
- the spinous processes of a lax spine are provided with a thicker padding than the back in the rib areas.
- the autoadaptive longitudinal structure 13 is formed in this embodiment by a centrally disposed pressure element 17 and two laterally arranged tension elements 15, and the parallel to the fins 41 extending spacers 19. These spacers bridge in this embodiment, not only the distance from the rear and front longitudinal elements 17 and 15 perpendicular to the support surface 21, but also their distance parallel to the support surface 21.
- the also longitudinally arranged in Figures 1 to 9 rear longitudinal elements 17, the pressure elements 17th 12 and 13 are pushed together in the middle between the two laterally disposed front longitudinal members 15, the tension members 15. Accordingly, the spacers 19 are elongated and span almost half the width of the backrest. They are rotatable in the frame 31 and mounted in the middle, rear longitudinal member 17, or even formed in itself twistable.
- the frame 31, which forms the front tension element 15, is rigidly connected to the rear longitudinal element 17, which forms the pressure element 17, at two connection points 27.
- the rear longitudinal elements 17 is arranged on the support point 29 on a support 47.
- the lying wings 49 shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, which follow the spacers 19, are merely decorative in nature. These wings 49 twist visibly under a load on the chair back and therefore make the autoadaptive function of the backrest 11 visible.
- the thickness of the rear longitudinal member also serves this representation of the function. This thickness must not affect the mobility of the rear longitudinal member 17.
- the backrest 11 is formed without these illustrative parts, and therefore slimmer.
- the central, rear longitudinal element 17, which takes over the function of the pressure element 17, is fastened to a support 47 in the lower half.
- the support point 29, on which the support of the backrest 11 is done by the support 47, can be seen in FIG.
- the frame 31 forms a left-side and a right-side tension element 15. These two tension elements 15 are connected via the spacers 19 and via arms 37, to the pressure element 17.
- the spacers are only clicked into the frame 31 in the region of the front longitudinal elements 15 and in the middle, rear longitudinal member 17.
- the spacers 19 are bent wire elements which can be clicked at their ends into cylindrical receptacles 51 on the frame 31.
- the spacers 19 are articulated on the back of the backrest 11.
- the booms 37 together with the tension elements 15 form a frame 31 and connect the tension elements 15 to some extent with a rigid angle to the pressure element 17.
- the transverse elements 41 On the front side of the backrest 11, the transverse elements 41, the slats 41, are clicked into the lateral longitudinal elements 15. They are rotatably mounted in these about horizontal axes, so that they cling to a leaning load.
- the transverse elements or lamellae 41 also have a central recess 45, which in turn allows to provide a greater cushion thickness in the area of the spinal column.
- the skeletal structure of the backrest essentially consists of two laterally arranged longitudinal structures 13 and transverse structures 41 arranged between them.
- the longitudinal structures 13 each have a support point 29 and are connected to a frame 31 at the top and bottom. They have a front longitudinal element, the tension element 15, and a rear longitudinal element, the pressure element 17, which are connected via spacers 19 and movable at two terminal junctions 27 angle stiff.
- the spacers 19 are formed as a bracket and are articulated in the front and in the rear longitudinal member 15,17 a longitudinal structure 13 articulated.
- transverse elements 41 are also articulated articulated. These transverse elements 41 are bent to the rear, so that a support surface of the transverse elements 41 lies behind the axis about which they are pivotable relative to the longitudinal structure 13.
- transverse elements 14 also have a recess 45, which provides space for a special padding of the spine.
- cross members 41 there are three different types: In the top three cross members, the support surfaces are slightly concave in a vertical section, the middle three cross members are flat in a vertical section, and the lower three cross members are slightly convex in a vertical section. These formations correspond to the general form of the back support in these three areas. This causes the support of the padding by the cross members 41 as large as possible and evenly.
- the rear longitudinal elements 17 are formed in two layers. Between the two layers, the articulation points for the spacers 19 are formed. The two-ply serves to stiffen the rear longitudinal members 17. At the rearward position, ears 53 are formed which are equipped to support a rear fairing. In addition, a pocket 55 is formed on the rear side of the rear layer, into which stiffening strips can be pushed in order to be able to adjust the flexibility or rigidity of the longitudinal structure 13 in the region of the support point.
- the load (arrow 61) is removed by the lamellae 41 via the tension elements 15 onto the spacers 19, onto the pressure elements 17 and finally onto the support point 29 (arrow 62) and the support (eg 47) supporting the support point.
- the load causes the upper part of the backrest to bend backwards about the support point 29.
- the tension member 15 therefore exerts a pull on the lower connection point 27, and at the same time, of course, also a pull on the upper connection point 27 (arrows 63).
- the pressure element 17 therefore exerts pressure on the upper and lower joints 27 (arrows 64).
- the upper and lower joints 27 move forward (arrows 65).
- the backrest 11 deforms along the line 66.
- the upper joint is therefore given backwards due to the deformation which takes place adjacent to the support point 29, and pivots forwards as a result of the deformation which takes place in the region of the load.
- the upper end of the backrest 11 therefore moves only slightly backwards less than the area with the loaded blade 41 and also a little towards the support point 29 out. Such deformation undergoes the backrest until the forces acting on the backrest 11 are in balance.
- the lamella 41 is hinged to the tension elements 15 (axis 60).
- the blade 41 rotates under the load in the articulation points in a position in which it rests as flat as possible on the load-forming back and thereby aligns in the direction of the arrows 67.
