Description

Technisches GebietTechnical area

The invention relates to a switch panel with at least one switch, the actuating button is located in an opening of a front panel, and arranged in the region of the opening of the front panel, the switch enclosing housing, which between an inner and an outer peripheral wall open against the front panel, translucent covered annular gap for receiving at least one illumination means forms.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

In order to provide a peripheral illumination in a switch of a switch panel, it is known from the prior art (DE 3 228 290 A1) to form both the actuating button of the switch partially translucent and the back with illuminating means. If the actuating button is located in an opening of an opaque front panel, then the peripheral illumination is limited by the front panel and by the opaque part of the actuating button. A disadvantage of such switches, however, is that with an exemption of the actuating button in the direction of actuation, the lighting means must be arranged at a distance to the actuating button, which reduces the brightness of the lighting. Although this loss of brightness can be compensated for again with powerful lighting means, this is out of the question for cost-effective switches. In addition, much of the light output of the lighting is retained by the opaque cover of the lighting button, so without the use of optical fibers this power is lost for the peripheral lighting. However, the use of optical fibers is comparatively expensive and structurally complex. In addition, such switches are vulnerable due to their release between the actuating button and the housing for contamination of the lighting means, so that is to be expected with a steady decrease in the luminosity of the peripheral lighting. In addition, due to the exemption can not be avoided that other switches are illuminated.

In the document "WO 00/74 092 A" a switch panel according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention is therefore an object of the invention to improve a switch box with at least one switch of the type described so that despite the use of low-power lighting means a sufficiently bright peripheral lighting of the control button can be achieved, but without having to drive a high design effort. In addition, the peripheral lighting should be relatively inexpensive and allow long service life.

The invention solves the problem set by the fact that the housing is flush with the outer peripheral wall inserted into the opening of the front panel and surrounds the actuating button with its inner peripheral wall and that the translucent cover of the annular gap between the inner and outer peripheral wall of extending over the front panel Foil exists.

If the housing is flush with the outer peripheral wall inserted into the opening of the front panel and enclosing its inner peripheral wall, the actuating button, it can be dispensed with a complex structural design of the actuating button for a circumferential lighting, since the annular gap with its lighting means separated from the switch in the opening the front panel is located. So it does not require opaque cover of the operation button due to the lack of back lighting. Furthermore is to ensure with low-power lighting means still sufficient brightness of the peripheral lighting, as in the invention, in contrast to the prior art, on the one hand, no loss of brightness due to be kept distances and on the other hand, the entire luminosity of the lighting means for the peripheral lighting can be used. With a translucent cover of the annular gap through a film extending over the front plate, the illuminants are provided with a self-contained receptacle, whereby soiling can be avoided. The peripheral lighting according to the invention is therefore characterized by a long service life and low costs in production and operation. In addition, can be dispensed with the use of optical fibers, which reduces in particular the entire design effort for the switch box.

If the operation button protrudes with a curved actuating surface over the front panel surface, it is comparatively easy for a user to see the pressure point of the actuating button, which further reduces the risk of damaging the film of the annular gap. If the actuating surface is additionally covered by a protective film which extends over the housing and is transparent at least in the region of the annular gap between the inner and outer peripheral wall, then not only contamination of the switch can be avoided, but also the strength of the cover of the annular gap is increased.

If the lighting means and the switch are provided on a circuit board and protrude through bottom recesses in the housing, so can be carried out with a release of the board from the housing in a simple and fast way maintenance.

Weg zur Ausführung der ErfindungWay to carry out the invention

In the illustrated embodiment of the switch panel according to the invention (FIG. 1), a front plate 4, for example of an aluminum material, forms an opening 3, into which a housing 1, for example of a plastic material, is inserted. The housing 1 ends with its outer peripheral wall 2 flush with this opening 3 and has between its outer peripheral wall 2 and its inner peripheral wall 5 an open against the front panel 4 annular gap 8. In this annular gap 8 a plurality of illumination means 11 are used, which are provided for a peripheral illumination of an enclosed by the inner peripheral wall 5 operating button 6 of a switch 12 (Fig. 2). The switching on and off of the peripheral lighting can be done, for example, with a control device, not shown, which supplies the lighting means 11, for example LED modules, upon actuation of the switch 12 electrical power. The switch 12 is thus separated from the annular gap 8 by an opaque housing wall 5, so that no back lighting of the operation button 6 is to be feared. It can therefore be guaranteed a peripheral lighting with a comparatively sharp contour, especially since the entire luminosity of the lighting means 11 is available without scattering losses of the peripheral lighting. In order to ensure an advantageous radiation behavior of the illumination means 11, it is also conceivable that the sides surrounding the illumination means 11 of the housing 1 are mirrored. To avoid contamination of the annular gap 8 is covered with a translucent cover of a extending over the front panel 4 slide 9. It has been found that it is advantageous to let the film 9 edge not only on the annular gap 8 but also to the actuating button 6 and possibly also in this overlap area with the operation button 6 to glue. Thus, the switch 12 can be protected against contamination. In addition, so the narrow housing web between the annular gap 8 and inner peripheral wall 5 are covered.

The actuating button 6 protrudes with its curved actuating surface on the front panel surface, which also visually indicates the position of the actuating button 6 for the user of the switch panel, so that can be dispensed with markings on the film 9 to indicate the operation button 6. Furthermore, the actuating button 6 is covered with a extending over the housing 1, at least in the region of the annular gap 8 between the inner and outer peripheral wall 2 and 5 translucent protective film 10, which on the one hand in a simple manner after making the switch box, the color of the peripheral illumination determined or can be changed and on the other hand, the switch 12 is protected against contamination or wear. This additional film cover 10 may be glued, for example in the overlapping area with the drawn over the front panel 9 film. But it is also conceivable that only a film is pulled over the front panel, which consists of the film 9 and the additional film cover 10.

The illumination means 11 and the switch 12 are provided on a circuit board 13 with electrical connections, which board 13 also has openings for fastening pins 14 of the housing. About this mounting pin 14, the circuit board 13 is fixedly connected to the housing 1, which is not shown in detail. For maintenance, therefore, only the circuit board 13 is to be separated from the housing 1, which then the lighting means 11 and the switch 12 are easily accessible. The housing 1 is pressed by the circuit board 13 to the front panel 4 of the switch panel, so that slipping of the housing 1 during actuation of the switch 12 can be excluded. For the illumination means 11 and the switch 12, bottom recesses 15 are respectively provided in the housing 1 (FIG. 3), in which they also protrude.

It need not be further mentioned that the operation button 6 or the peripheral illumination is not limited to a circular shape, but rather that the peripheral lighting according to the invention can be provided in any form of the actuating button 6. It is only for the annular gap 8 to adjust accordingly.
