Fig. 1 zeigt eine perspektivische Darstellung eines erfindungsgemäßen Kippschalters mit Schaltergehäuse 1, Kipphebel 2, einem transparenten beleuchteten Lager 3 des Kipphebels und einer transparenten beleuchteten und kugelförmigen Drehachse 4 des Kipphebels. Das Gehäuse 1 des Kippschalters besteht aus den beiden Halbschalen 6 und 7. Es weist an der Gehäuseoberseite einen Befestigungsvorsprung 8 auf, der von der Rückseite her in eine entsprechende Öffnung einer Schalttafel eingesetzt werden kann. Der Befestigungsvorsprung 8 ist hohlzylindrisch und nimmt das Lager 3 des Kipphebels 2 auf. Zur Befestigung des Kippschalters an der nicht dargestellten Schalttafel dienen die Federklammern 31 sowie der Befestigungsring 32 mit Bajonettverschluss. Er wird von der Vorderseite der Schalttafel an dem Befestigungsvorsprung 8 montiert und stützt den Kippschalter dadurch gegen die Vorderseite der Schalttafel ab. An beiden Seiten des Kippschalters ist jeweils eine drehbare Federklammer 31 befestigt, und zwar an hierfür vorgesehenen Blindkappen 9, deren Funktion weiter unten erläutert wird. Die Federklammern 31 weisen jeweils ein Federelement 33 auf, welches gegen die Rückseite der Schalttafel eine Federkraft ausübt, wenn die Federklammern nach unten an die jeweilige Gehäuseseite geklappt werden. Die Federklammern rasten dabei in entsprechende Noppen 10 des Gehäuses ein und werden dadurch arretiert. On both sides of the toggle switch in each case a rotatable spring clip 31 is fixed, namely to blank provided for this purpose 9, whose function will be explained below. The spring clips 31 each have a spring element 33, which exerts a spring force against the back of the panel when the spring clips are folded down to the respective housing side. The spring clips snap into corresponding nubs 10 of the housing and are thereby locked.

Fig. 2 zeigt den inneren Aufbau des Kippschalters in schematischer Darstellung. Zu erkennen sind die Achse 35 des Kipphebels im Bereich der Gehäuseoberseite und die darunter innerhalb des Gehäuses angeordnete Schaltwalze 30, die zur Betätigung mehrerer Schaltelemente (Mikroschalter) 41 dient. Diese sind zu beiden Seiten des Gehäuses an entsprechenden Trägerplatten 29 befestigt. Kipphebel 2 und Schaltwalze 30 stehen über zwei Zahnradsegmente 34, 37 miteinander in Eingriff, so dass eine Bewegung des Kipphebels in eine Bewegung der Schaltwalze umgesetzt wird. Das Zahnradsegment 34 ist dabei mit der Schaltwalze verbunden, das Zahnradsegment 37 hingegen mit dem Kipphebel. Zu erkennen sind ferner der lediglich schematisch dargestellte Rastmechanismus 42 des Kippschalters zum Einrasten des Kipphebels in den vorgesehenen Schaltstellungen sowie die Feder 43 des Rastmechanismus. Ebenfalls dargestellt sind die in Form von Klemmleisten an den Trägerplatten 29 befestigten Anschlusskontakte 5 an der Gehäuseunterseite. Also shown are the attached in the form of terminal strips to the support plates 29 terminal contacts 5 on the housing bottom.

Fig. 3 zeigt die Halbschale 7 von innen. Sie verfügt über integrierte Kunststoffhülsen 11 zur Aufnahme von Sperrstiften, die die Auslenkung des Kipphebels bei Bedarf begrenzen. Am Befestigungsvorsprung 8 ist eine Bohrung 28 für die Achse des Kipphebels zu erkennen. Die Figur zeigt ebenfalls, dass am Rand der Halbschale eine Nut zur Realisierung einer Dichtung 17 ausgebildet ist, durch welche die beiden Halbschalen gegen das Eindringen von Feuchtigkeit gegeneinander abgedichtet werden. Am unteren Ende der Lagerhülse ist eine Aufnahme 23 für eine Trägerplatte 26 angeformt. Auf der Trägerplatte 26 sind die erfindungsgemäß vorgesehenen Leuchtelemente 27 in Form von LEDs ringförmig angeordnet. Fig. 8 zeigt ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel eines erfindungsgemäßen Kippschalters, welches im Wesentlichen mit dem Ausführungsbeispiel aus den Fig. 1 bis 7 übereinstimmt. In Abweichung zum ersten Ausführungsbeispiel ist der Kippschalter an der Gehäuseoberseite mit einem speziellen Schraubbefestigungsaufsatz 38 versehen. Dieser verfügt zu beiden Seiten des Gehäuses jeweils über eine Drucklasche 39, die mittels einer Schraube ausgefahren werden kann. Durch Spannen der entsprechenden Schrauben werden die beiden Drucklaschen 39 gegen die Unterseite der nicht dargestellten Schalttafel gepresst, so dass der Kippschalter an der Schalttafel befestigt und wirksam gegen Verdrehung gesichert ist. Claims (14)

  1. Toggle switch for a plurality of switching positions, comprising a housing (1), a toggle lever (2), which is supported on said housing and has a pivot axis (4), a switching cylinder (30), which is supported on said housing and has a rotary axis, and a detent mechanism (42) for catching said toggle lever in at least one switching position, wherein said pivot axis of said toggle lever is located in the region of the housing top side and differs from said rotary axis of said switching cylinder, wherein a first gear segment (37) is connected to said toggle lever and a second gear segment (34) is connected to said switching cylinder, wherein said toggle lever and said switching cylinder are in engagement with each other via said first and second gear segments, and wherein said toggle switch has fastening elements (32, 31; 39) for fastening said toggle switch to a control panel, characterized in that light-emitting elements (27) are arranged inside said housing and used to emit a light signal for indicating the switching position or other information, wherein at least one element (3, 4) of said toggle switch, being visible to the operator of said toggle switch when said toggle switch is attached to said control panel, is transparent, so that said light signal is emitted outwardly through said transparent element (3, 4), wherein said transparent element is a bearing (3) which is configured as a separate bearing sleeve and in which said pivot axis (4) of said toggle lever (2) is mounted.
  2. Toggle switch according to claim 1, characterized in that all functional elements of said toggle switch except for said toggle lever (2) are accommodated in said housing (1), where said housing complies with protection class IP40.
  3. Toggle switch according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said bearing (3) has a ring-shaped upper edge (24) visible to the operator.
  4. Toggle switch according to claim 3, characterized in that a seal (25) is provided below said ring-shaped upper edge (24).
  5. Toggle switch according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said pivot axis (4) of said toggle lever (2) is also a transparent element.
  6. Toggle switch according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that said light-emitting elements (27) are arranged on a carrier plate (26).
  7. Toggle switch according to claim 6, characterized in that said light-emitting elements (27) are arranged in a ring shape on said carrier plate (26).
  8. Toggle switch according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that said carrier plate (26) is received in a seat (23) of said bearing (3).
  9. Toggle switch according to one of the claims 1 to 8, characterized in that said transparent element (3, 4) is made of polycarbonate and comprises pigmentation, so that said light signal is emitted uniformly through said transparent element.
  10. Toggle switch according to one of the claims 1 to 9, characterized in that said light-emitting elements (27) are configured in a redundant manner and/or are connected in a redundant manner.
  11. Toggle switch, according to one of the claims 1 to 10, characterized in that said light-emitting elements (27) can be dimmed.
  12. Toggle switch according to one of the claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the color and/or the position and/or the intensity and/or the frequency of said light signal can be configured depending on the information to be indicated.
  13. Toggle switch according to one of the claims 1 to 12, characterized in that said housing (1) is composed of two half-shells (6, 7) into which all bearings and seats necessary for mounting said functional elements of said toggle switch are integrated.
  14. Toggle switch according to claim 13, characterized in that said switching cylinder (30) is mounted rotatably on either side in said housing (1) by use of a bearing, wherein one of said two half-shells (6, 7) of said housing has an opening (18) for receiving a bearing insert (15) that is visible from the outside and in which said first bearing is fixed and covered to protect said functional elements of said switch accommodated in said housing against the ingress of moisture and therefore to comply with protection class IP40.
