Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a bottle with a shoulder and a neck on which a pump can be attached, and with a cap which can be snapped onto the bottle and thereby covers the shoulder and the bottle neck, wherein an actuating handle of the pump protrudes from the top of the cap,
The bottle preferably consists of an outer container of a hard, dimensionally stable plastic and of a soft inner bag, which receives the bottle contents, preferably a liquid. The pump is preferably an airless pump which sucks the contents of the container out of the soft inner bag, but without allowing air to enter the soft inner bag for pressure equalization, so that it increasingly contracts as the contents of the container are dispensed. For pressure equalization openings are provided in the outer container.
However, the invention is not limited to such a bottle, but it is also applicable to single-walled containers which are provided with a cap and with a pump.
For a bottle of the type considered to be actuated, it must be ensured that the grip of the pump, which is slidably seated in the vertical direction in the upper opening of the cap, during its operation, ie when depressing, does not "pry" the cap from the bottle. Namely, if the handle - as is often the case in practice - by the user is not exactly vertical, that is pressed inwardly in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the bottle, a side force acts on the cap, which causes a torque that peeling the cap of the bottle can result so that the pump is no longer functional. The risk of "prying off" the cap is further increased in the case where the handle for ease of operation has an enlarged gripping surface which projects beyond the shank of the handle which is slidably received in the cover so that almost inevitably the handle is depressed the above-mentioned torque is caused, which would like to lift the cap on the opposite side of the projecting part of the handle from the bottle.
The present invention has for its object to provide a bottle of the type considered, in which it is ensured that the cap is not detached from the bottle by operating the pump.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.
The invention provides that the bottleneck at two diametrically opposite peripheral portions undercuts and to offset by about 90 °, also diametrically opposite peripheral portions laterally projecting lugs, which are each provided with at least one circumferentially extending groove, and that inside the cap two spring arms which are latched with molded hooks under the undercuts, and at least one circumferentially extending, circumferential projection or two separate projecting portions are formed, which are latched to the grooves of the approaches of the bottle neck. In this case, the arrangement of the grooves and the projection or the projection portions can also be met vice versa, so that the radially projecting lugs of the bottle neck can be provided with circumferentially extending projections which engage in a corresponding groove or groove portions in the inside of the cap, when the cap is snapped onto the bottle.
It is preferably provided that the bottle in the plan has an oval shape, i. is oval in any cross-section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the dimensions of the bottle being able to decrease continuously from the upper and lower edges towards the center, so that the bottle not only has a very pleasing shape but is also comfortable and easy to operate can be safely grasped. The cap also has an oval shape in this case, which also applies to its upper opening and the handle of the pump displaceably guided therein, which protrudes beyond its shaft in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the grip.
With particular advantage it is provided that extend the approaches of the bottle neck in the direction of the longitudinal sides of the bottle, while the two spring arms of the cap engage under the undercuts of the bottle neck on the narrow sides of the bottle. The holding force of the spring arms according to the invention by the engagement of the projections extending in the longitudinal direction of the cap in the correspondingly arranged grooves of the laterally projecting lugs of the bottle neck (or the reverse arrangement thereof) added, so that with a slight attachability of the cap on the bottle a surprisingly large Holding force is caused, so that the cap is not levered off the bottle even with a strong off-center actuation of the pump. The engagement of the two extending in the circumferential direction Protrusions of the cap into the circumferentially extending grooves of the neck of the neck ensures that, with the forces commonly encountered, the cap can not be rotated about the short axis of the oval cross-sectional shape to disengage from the bottle. The forces acting on the longitudinal axis of the oval cross-sectional shape torques when operating the pump are already smaller anyway and also do not call for detachment of the cap from the bottle.
In further details of the invention, it is proposed that the lugs are integrally formed on both the bottleneck and the shoulder and extend almost to the edge of the shoulder. It is preferred that the lugs are set back by a wall thickness of the cap. The grooves of the lugs (or reverse arrangement of groove / projection: the projections of the lugs) are preferably formed directly above the shoulder, so that the shoulder forms the lower groove wall.
It is further proposed that the approaches each extend over a peripheral region of the neck of the bottle of approximately 90 °, whereby a circumferential region of the same order of magnitude is also proposed for the undercuts.
According to a further proposal of the invention it is provided that the upper edge strip of the bottle is recessed stepwise about the wall thickness of the cap, and that the cap in the snapped condition rests with its peripheral edge on the circumferential step of the bottle also also for secure attachment of the cap contributes to the bottle. In addition, the arrangement of the bottle and cap receives a very pleasing, continuous outer contour and is comfortable in the user's hand when operating the pump.
The bottle and the cap are made of a plastic such as PP, which also applies to the handle of the pump.
