Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for selecting and delivering weft threads to a gripper of a rapier weaving machine, which receives weft threads and enters into a shed, wherein the weft threads, which extend from the region of a fabric edge to a delivery device, movable by means of from a rest position to a working position Feeding be brought into a receiving position for the gripper and a device for carrying out the method.
- tributaries are in a row arranged one behind the other, which runs parallel to the direction of movement of a gripper rapier.
- the weft thread (s) selected for a weft insertion are first displaced downwardly from their feeders to an area in which they can be taken over by a feed arm which makes a pivoting and lowering movement.
- the Zustellarm brings the selected weft threads always in the same position in which they can be gripped by the provided on its upper side with a driving device gripper. It is further known ( US 3,147,778 ), in the striking of a weft thread to separate the ailing weft thread from the weft thread coming from the delivery device and to receive with a common suction device.
- the weft thread to be inserted is selected by means of a thread feeder, which is lowered to bring the selected weft thread in the region of a gripper rapier, which is also provided on its upper side with a hook-shaped receptacle for the weft.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method of the type mentioned above, which performs the selection and delivery of a weft thread in its receiving position with simple movements, with only a small footprint is required for the individual elements including the gripper and its guide elements, so that a relatively small shed is sufficient and the shed means and the reed can be designed accordingly small.
- This object is achieved in that the feeders put the respective weft thread when moving from its rest position to its working position over a deflecting edge extending at least approximately in the direction of movement of the gripper, so that the portion of the weft thread between the deflecting edge and the feeder in a receiving position in the Movement path of the gripper is brought.
- the gripper is a gripper gripper, which pulls out a weft thread into the shed by means of a movement out of the shed.
- a gripper gripper requires only a relatively small cross-section, so that the distance between the feeders and the deflecting edge can be dimensioned correspondingly small.
- the feeders bring the respective weft thread into the receiving position before the gripper reaches a takeover position, and that the gripper deflects the weft thread located in the picking position substantially downwards and, after reversing its movement, grips and takes along ,
- a relatively large period of time is available, within which a weft thread can be brought into its receiving position.
- an advantageous gripper loom which is provided with a device for selecting and delivering weft threads and which is characterized in that a deflection edge for the weft threads extending at least approximately in the direction of movement of the gripper is arranged between the fabric edge and the feeders , And that the trajectory of the gripper runs between working position feeders and the deflecting edge.
- a weaving machine is particularly advantageous when a gripper gripper is provided, which can be inserted from the opposite side of the device for selecting and delivering in a shed of the weaving machine.
- the feeders are arranged in a row one behind the other stationary, which runs substantially parallel to the deflection edge. This makes it possible to have all weft threads in substantially equal positions to the gripper To be brought, which is designed so that its hook-shaped gripping element over the held by the last feeder of the row weft out addition.
- the arrangement of the weft threads between feeder and deflection is advantageous for gripping the weft threads.
- Fig. 1 and 2 is shown by the actual loom, only a rapier band 10 or a rapier rod, which carries at its end designed as a gripper grab gripper 11.
- the weaving machine forms of warp threads 12, 13 and weft threads 14 a fabric 15, which is indicated only schematically.
- the weft threads 14 are struck with a reed, not shown, to a cloth edge.
- the warp threads are moved apart by means not shown shed forming an upper Kettfadenschar 13 and a lower Kettfadenschar 12, so that a shed is formed, in which a weft thread 14 can be entered.
- the gripper rapier 11 takes during its movement out of the shed out one, possibly even more, weft threads 14 with.
- the weft thread 14 to be inserted in a shed during a weft insertion is selected by means of a device 16 and delivered to the gripper 11.
- the device 16 has a base body or a base plate 17, which is fastened by means of screws 39 on a running in the direction of weft insertion rail 38. On this rail 38, the base plate 17 can be moved with the elements mounted on it and fixed in a matched to the fabric width position. The entire device 16 is therefore adaptable in a very simple manner to a changed fabric width.
- the device includes needle-shaped yarn feeders 19, the drives 20 of which are mounted on a holder 21 and which extend downwardly at an acute angle so as to be able to move downwardly substantially in the vertical direction.
- the drives 20 of the yarn feeders 19 may for example be formed as shown in EP 0598264 B1 is known, so that the yarn feeder 19th between a rest position A ( Fig. 1 ) and a working position B are adjusted.
- the thread feeders 19 are each provided at their lower ends with eyelets 22 through which a weft thread 14 runs. The weft threads 14 extend from a fabric edge of the fabric 15 through the eyelets 22 in each case to a delivery device, for example in each case to a feeder.
- a bar 23 is mounted on which a thread separating device 24 is arranged.
- the thread separating device 24 has a knife disc 25 which is driven by means of an electric motor 26.
- the knife disk 25 are associated on both sides with thread guides, which are formed by means of the strip 23 and guide tongues 28, 29.
- a further strip 30 is attached, which forms by means of a upstanding leg a deflection edge 31 which is parallel to the direction of movement of the gripper 11, ie transversely to the direction of the warp threads 12, 13.
- the deflection edge 31 is in a plane with a binding point 32 of the fabric 15 and with the thread guides formed by the strip 23 and the guide tongues 28, 29.
- the base plate 17 is adjustable in the rail 38 in the direction of the fabric width.
- the mounting for fixing screws 39 ( Fig. 2 ) of the base plate 17 are directed transversely to the rail 38 slots, so that a setting in the transverse direction is possible. With this setting, the position of the yarn feeders 19 and thus their eyelets 22 is adjusted transversely to the gripper 11.
- the strip 23 with the cutting device 24 is fixed both transversely and in the longitudinal direction of the warp threads adjustable on the base plate 17. It is thus their position with respect to the distance to the deflection edge 31 in the transverse direction and with respect to the distance to the end the deflection edge 31 in the longitudinal direction adjustable.
- the adjustment of the strip 23 with the cutting device 24 and the strip 30 with the deflection edge 31 relative to each other and to the feeders in the manufacturer is made and that then the strips 23, 30 are fixed in this position in that they can not or only with difficulty be changed by the user.
- This can be done, for example, by providing fastening screws with specially designed tool engagement surfaces. It is also possible to seal the positions.
- the user of a loom can then adjust only the entire device 16 in the direction of the weaving width and possibly also transversely thereto to a small extent.
- an adjustment of the device 16 in the transverse direction to the rail 38 can not readily make it can be provided that the adjustability is separated in the transverse direction of the attachment to the rail 38, so that then the weaving machine only an adjustment of the device 16 in weaving width is possible.
- Fig. 1 how out Fig. 1 can be seen, are the weft threads 14 when the feeders 19 with their eyes 22 are in the rest position A, above the gripper 11, the deflection edge 31 and the cutter 24 is a feeder 19 transferred to its working position B, as the in Fig. 2 to 6 is shown for the fabric edge of the next feeder conveyor 19, the respective weft thread 14 is placed over the deflection edge 31 so that it is located below the tip 33 of the gripper 11 with an obliquely downwardly extending portion 14a. The gripper 11 overflows this section 14a and deflects it downwards.
- the gripper 11 is moved back, so he takes the thread portion 14 a with its hook-shaped element 34, the one in Fig. 2 to 6 only schematically indicated thread clamp 35 is assigned.
- the hook-shaped element 34 and the thread clamp 35th located on the side facing the portion 14a of the weft thread 14, ie below the top of the gripper 11th
- the gripper 11 which moves back into the shed, takes along the weft thread picked up on the section 14a and pulls it over the deflecting edge 31 in the direction towards the shed.
- the weft thread 14 passes into the cutting device 24, in which the weft thread is severed by the portion remaining at the edge of the fabric before it is introduced into the shed.
- the selection of the weft 14 to be inserted i. the transfer of a feeder 19 from its rest position A to its working position B is controlled by a control device 36, which conveniently belongs to the device 16 and is attached thereto.
- the controller 36 receives its commands from the control of the loom.
- the controller 36 also turns on the motor 26 of the cutter disk 25. This can be done individually or at high firing speeds as a continuous operation at each weft insertion.
- the yarn feeders 19, of which only four are shown, are arranged in a row one behind the other. This row runs parallel to the movement path of the gripper 11 and the deflection edge 31. Since the feeders 19 each occupy the same working position B, the thread pieces 14a extend between the eyelets 22 and the deflection edge 31 in the side view (FIG. Fig. 1 ) all at the same angle, even if the angle between the eyelets 22 and the fabric edge ( Fig. 2 ) is different. The gripper 11 thus engages with its hook-shaped element 34 and the clamp 35, the thread sections 14 a always in the same manner.
- the yarn feeders 19 move downwards with a component of motion, so that they Lay weft threads over the deflection edge 31. This may, like that in Fig. 1 is shown, done by the fact that the feeders 19 are aligned at an acute angle. Of course, it is also possible to arrange the feeders so that they are vertically aligned and perform an exclusively vertical movement.
- the weft threads 14 are separated from the fabric edge only when they are re-entered in a shed.
- the free ends are then picked up by a thread clamp.
- a thread clamp which is arranged between the fabric edge and the cutting device 24, is then part of the device 16 in such an embodiment.
- Fig. 7 and 8th corresponds in principle to the embodiment according to Fig. 1 to 6 ,
- a holder 37 which is inclined in the direction of the deflection edge 31 is provided so that altogether shorter needle-shaped feeders 19 can be used.
- the strip 23 is combined with the cutting device 24 and the strip 30 with the deflection edge 31 to form an assembly that is adjustable only relative to the base plate 17 and the feeders 19 together.
- Fadenzubringer 19 are provided which are pivotable by means of drive motors designed as drives 20 between a rest position A and a working position B.
- the eyelets 22 of the yarn feeder 19 thereby move on a trajectory, according to the trajectories of the embodiments Fig. 1 to 6 and Fig. 7 and 8th largely corresponds.
- the axis 40 of the drive motors is lower than the deflection edge 31, so that the thread portion 14a is well tensioned as well as in the other embodiments, which is brought into a receiving position in the path of movement of the gripper 11.
- a blade 55 is provided which preferably has a razor-sharp cutting edge.
- This blade 55 which is easily replaceable, is oriented so that a weft thread 14, which is taken by the gripper 11, slides over the cutting edge of this blade 55 and thereby is cut.
- This cutting device 24 with the stationary blade 55 requires no drive.
- a holder 57 which carries a fabric spreader 56.
- the holder 57 is fastened with adjustable fastening means 59 on the base plate 17, for example, with fastening screws 59, the slot guides of the holder 57 and transverse thereto slot guides of the base body 17 penetrate.
- edge insert 58 may be attached to the holder 57 and an edge insert 58, which is indicated by dashed lines.
- the edge insert 58 may be mounted in a manner not shown by means of adjustable fastening means on the holder 57.
- the Fadenzubringer 19 which is in the working position B, is moved back to an intermediate position between the working position B and the rest position A, when the portion 14a of the weft thread 14 has been picked up by the gripper 11 and is entered into the shed , This ensures that the withdrawal of a weft thread which takes place through the thread eye 22 located in the intermediate position is not disturbed by the other weft threads and this weft thread is held in a favorable position within the shed.

The invention has for its object to provide a method of the type mentioned above, which performs the selection and delivery of a weft thread in its receiving position with simple movements, with only a small footprint is required for the individual elements including the gripper and its guide elements, so that a relatively small shed is sufficient and the shed means and the reed can be designed accordingly small.
This object is achieved in that the feeders put the respective weft thread when moving from its rest position to its working position over a deflecting edge extending at least approximately in the direction of movement of the gripper, so that the portion of the weft thread between the deflecting edge and the feeder in a receiving position in the Movement path of the gripper is brought.
In an advantageous embodiment, it is provided that the gripper is a gripper gripper, which pulls out a weft thread into the shed by means of a movement out of the shed. Such a gripper gripper requires only a relatively small cross-section, so that the distance between the feeders and the deflecting edge can be dimensioned correspondingly small.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the feeders bring the respective weft thread into the receiving position before the gripper reaches a takeover position, and that the gripper deflects the weft thread located in the picking position substantially downwards and, after reversing its movement, grips and takes along , In this embodiment, a relatively large period of time is available, within which a weft thread can be brought into its receiving position.
With the method according to the invention, an advantageous gripper loom can be provided, which is provided with a device for selecting and delivering weft threads and which is characterized in that a deflection edge for the weft threads extending at least approximately in the direction of movement of the gripper is arranged between the fabric edge and the feeders , And that the trajectory of the gripper runs between working position feeders and the deflecting edge. Such a weaving machine is particularly advantageous when a gripper gripper is provided, which can be inserted from the opposite side of the device for selecting and delivering in a shed of the weaving machine.
In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the feeders are arranged in a row one behind the other stationary, which runs substantially parallel to the deflection edge. This makes it possible to have all weft threads in substantially equal positions to the gripper To be brought, which is designed so that its hook-shaped gripping element over the held by the last feeder of the row weft out addition. The arrangement of the weft threads between feeder and deflection is advantageous for gripping the weft threads.

The
