Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method of drying crockery used in a washing machine and drying dishes.
  • this invention relates to dishwashers in which a washing cycle of a quantity of dishes is followed by a drying cycle of this dishware.
  • Such a drying method implemented in a dishwashing machine comprises a housing enclosing a washing chamber.
  • the dishes to be washed is placed in at least one basket supported by the washing chamber which has an outlet opening generally formed in the floor of the washing chamber to allow the circulation of water during the various cycles of washing. washing the dishes.
  • a bath heating means is placed in the water treatment circuit of the wash bath.
  • this washing and drying machine is connected to an open air treatment circuit loaded with moisture.
  • This air treatment circuit generally comprises an air circulation duct in communication with the washing chamber in which the dishes are placed.
  • the washing chamber thus constitutes one of the elements of this drying air treatment circuit.
  • At least one fan is mounted in the air treatment circuit, and intended to circulate said air between a collection opening and a discharge opening formed in the washing chamber, said circuit also having an opening air inlet through the housing for introducing air from the atmosphere, and a dewatering means for the air to be treated comprising a chamber.
  • the air passes through the washing chamber and exits through the air intake opening in the vault of the washing chamber to be sucked into the treatment circuit of the washing chamber. 'air.
  • the air treatment circuit comprises a drying air evacuation opening opening at a side of the washing chamber.
  • the discharge opening of the air treatment circuit is located for example on the bottom of the washing chamber.
  • this air intake opening is disposed in an area of the remote washing chamber and on another side of the chamber of the zone where the exhaust air of the air treatment circuit is introduced into the washing chamber.
  • a first means of drying dishes is to dry by natural convection using heating resistors mounted on the bottom of the washing tub of the machine or in the water treatment circuit of the wash bath.
  • a second solution is to dry the dishes using a condenser made in the washing chamber. It is then necessary to evaporate the water in contact with the dishes to circulate a curtain of cold water along at least one of the walls of the washing chamber. This process is complex to implement and expensive. In addition, it does not ensure the best drying performance.
  • a third means of drying is to dry the dishes by forced convection using a fan mounted on the structure of the dishwasher. It is then necessary to provide ventilation ducts for connecting the washing chamber and an air-water exchanger placed outside said washing chamber.
  • drying air flow is not optimized so that the dishwashers of the state of the art have a high energy consumption associated in the two solutions presented with a water consumption at the level of the condenser or air-water exchanger important.
  • a dishwasher is also known, described in the document EP0358279A1 comprising a heater placed outside the wash tub to heat the wash water using a desiccant drying system in which air from the wash tub is circulated through a drying device which can be regenerated by heating and returns from this device to the wash tank.
  • the present invention aims to solve the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a general method of drying the dishes contained in the washing chamber of a dishwasher by minimizing the consumption of energy and water while improving the drying performance.
  • the air drying means comprises a chamber containing a desiccant and means for regenerating said desiccant.
  • a quantity of air coming from the outside is sensed by the air inlet opening during the drying phase and mixed with recirculating air in the treatment circuit. air.
  • This air intake from the outside favors the exchange of heat between the washing chamber and the desiccant chamber and allows the desiccant to extract more quickly the moisture contained in the air.
  • the heating element is constituted by at least one electric heating resistance.
  • the chamber contains two desiccant sheets arranged in parallel, said heating electric resistance being arranged between the two desiccant sheets.
  • washing chamber 1 of a washing machine and drying dishes according to the invention mounted in communication on a drying air ventilation circuit 3 shown only schematically.
  • the assembly is placed in a housing 24 which does not need to be described here.
  • This washing and drying machine first includes a washing tub 1, substantially parallelepiped shape.
  • This washing tank 1 may thus comprise a bottom wall 7, two side walls 25, an arch 27, a sole 26 and a door 2 for closing off the washing tub 1.
  • this washing tub 1 does not need to be strictly parallelepiped shape. It may in particular comprise in its walls remote portions thus forming housings adapted to contain operating members of the machine, such as for example a motor pump intended for the circulation of water and positioned in the lower part of the tank. washing 1.
  • a washing and drying machine also has a drying air treatment circuit 3.
  • This drying air treatment circuit 3 comprises a sheath 10 mounted outside the washing tub 1 and placed in communication with the interior of the washing tub 1.
