Description

The invention relates to a device for sorting flat items according to a definable sequence of delivery points associated with the recipient addresses, with at least one separating device, each with a subsequent reading device for determining the address information contained on the shipments and a rotating pocket ring, in whose controlled emptying pockets each read one Shipment is transported.

For ordering in a certain order, a solution was announced ( EP 820 818 A1 ), which uses a cache, which consists of pockets or similar elements, each record a shipment and can deliver them on command in the actual storage compartment again. In this case, first all to be classified programs are housed in any order in the pockets of the cache. Then the items are removed from the pockets of the buffer and transferred to the storage compartments that they are in the latter in the order to be produced. Each shipment has its own storage. The sorting is done with two rounds of the pockets of the cache, one round for filling the pockets, another for emptying the pockets.
For this purpose, however, a large number of storage compartments is necessary, each of which must be equipped with a control mechanism that causes the transfer of the shipment from the right pocket of the cache.

The delivery of the shipments from the containers in the shelves takes place in several rounds, the order of Consignments in each repository correspond to the sequence of delivery points assigned to the addresses of the consignments in the respective repository ( DE 199 43 362 A1 ).

From the US 3,573,748 a device is known in which shipments of fixed pockets are emptied into a sectioned collection tape, and from the US 5,462,268 A a device is known in which shipments of circulating bags are emptied into containers and thus into sections of a conveyor.

The invention has for its object to provide a device for sorting flat broadcasts according to a definable sequence of the recipient addresses associated delivery points, in which the items are singled and read only once and brought by means of rotating pocket rings in the specified sequence, the effort for Removing the shipments is reduced and other shipments or broadcasts can be additionally included.

According to the invention the object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
Underneath a contiguous part of the pocket ring designated as a covering area, a part of a transporting device, which moves at a relative speed, is arranged with a collecting belt for receiving the mailings from the pockets for further transport of the mailpieces to a stacking device. The transport speed of the collecting belt is tuned to the transport speed of the pocket ring, that each section of the collecting tape has passed through each pocket of the pocket ring at least once during its movement along the covering area and whereby the items from the pockets of the pocket ring correspond to the read recipient addresses on the collecting tape be emptied that they leave the anthology in the stacking device in the specified sequence of recipient addresses.

Thus, the device has at least one output.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are set forth in the subclaims.

In order to decouple the loading process of the pockets in the bag loading station from the loading of the collecting tape, it is advantageous to arrange between this pocket ring and the transport device with the collecting another, to the upper pocket ring with different transport speed and / or direction rotating pocket ring, whose pockets shipments pick up from the upper pocket ring and deliver it to the transport device with collection tape in the overlap area.

In order for the items to be safely next to and on top of each other, it is advantageous to subdivide the collection tape into sections with webs.
In order to be able to process non-constant broadcast input streams without sacrificing sorting performance, a buffer memory device for receiving the read programs is advantageously arranged between the reading device (s) and the pocket ring. The read broadcasts are each loaded in the Taschenbeladestation in the buffer bags, which deliver the broadcasts in at least one output to empty pockets of the sorting pocket ring and which can be coupled in a further advantageous embodiment to a revolving, endless conveyor and decoupled from the conveyor. When transferring the buffer pockets of the buffer storage device are coupled to the conveyor and the transferring buffer memory runs in the same direction at the same speed positioned to the loading bag.

It is also advantageous if the pocket ring and the collecting belt rotate in opposite directions, so that the speed of the collecting belt can be kept relatively low.

In order to merge the mail items from the pocket ring with other mail items / mail streams, devices for loading with further mailpieces to be distributed to the respective recipient addresses are advantageously arranged on the portions allocated to the recipient addresses on the portions of the mail band which are outside the coverage area.
To ensure that the items are only delivered to the maximum intended height on the collecting belt, sensors are provided for measuring the transmission thicknesses. If the total height of the consignments assigned to a delivery point exceeds a limit value, the adjacent areas can also be loaded with consignments of the same delivery point as required.

It can be loaded into a section of the anthology for optimal utilization of the anthology and several shipments of different, but adjacent delivery points. The consignments must be in the specified sequence of delivery points in the sections of the anthology on top of each other.

In order for the coverage area to be as large as possible in relation to the base area, it is advantageous to arrange the collection belt in a U-shaped manner under a part of the pocket ring.
It is also advantageous if the pocket ring and / or the buffer memory have at least one loading and unloading station for the additional removal of mail items from the pockets according to certain sorting criteria outside the coverage area. This makes it possible, in addition to sorting, also to carry out the separation of items according to specific criteria.

In order to keep the base area of the device as small as possible, it is advantageous to place the part of the pocket ring which extends beyond the covering area and not located under the unloading stations of the buffer store into an additional one Level above the level of the buffer memory or below the level of the anthology, the broadcasts in both levels rotate in the same direction.
It is particularly advantageous if the height-exceeding deflection of the pocket ring takes place inside the buffer memory.

In addition, a second device for arranging is provided to a first device, which is rotated by 180 ° to the first device about the vertical axis, with which the part of the pocket ring not located above the collecting tape in the opposite of the corresponding part of the first device for organizing other level is located. Thus, both devices can be nested in one another, whereby the required footprint is almost halved compared to a separate lineup.

In order to spare the deliverer manual work, it is advantageous to provide a device for portioning between the collecting belt and the stacking device, in which the associated mailings are packaged for each delivery point prior to stacking in bags or bags or provided with banderoles.

Subsequently, the invention will be explained in more detail in an embodiment with reference to the drawing.

The mail items 4 are first singulated in a known manner in a singling device 1 from a stack. Then, the receiver addresses of the programs 4 are recorded and determined in a reading device, not shown. The read programs 4 are then passed to a buffer memory device 2. There, each item 4 is transported via a loading station in a circulating buffer bag 3, said buffer bags 3 controlled coupled to a rotating conveyor and can be decoupled controlled by the conveyor and the transfer takes place in the coupled state.

If several separating devices 1 are provided for throughput reasons, the mailings 4 from each separating device 1 are transported into the buffer bags 3 via a separate loading station.
Due to the buffer capability, both a non-constant input current from the singulating devices 1 and an output current which is not synchronous with the input current and / or not constant can be further processed. The buffer bags 3 can be opened in a controlled manner down to deliver the mail items 4 to empty pockets 6 of another, including circumferential pocket ring 5. Here, the pockets 6 are firmly connected to the rotating conveyor.

The pocket ring 5 and the buffer bags 3 run in the same direction.
The sorting of the shipments 4 according to the agreed sequence of delivery points takes place by the shipments 4 controlled by opening the pockets bottom of the pockets 6 down on a counter to the pocket ring 5 with its upper run revolving, divided into sections collecting tape 7.
In this case, the collecting belt 7 is arranged in a U-shaped plan below the pocket ring, ie the pocket ring 5 is longer than the collecting belt 7.
The transport speeds are coordinated so that each section 8 of the collecting belt 7 has passed through each pocket 6 of the pocket ring 5 during its movement along the covering area with the pocket ring 5 once. Several shipments 4 can be loaded in a section 8 up to a maximum overall height at which safe transport and stacking behavior (sh) is guaranteed.
The collection volume 7 can also be pre-assigned with further sorting or input devices for all or special receivers with broadcasts.
At the end of the collecting belt 7 is a stacking device for stacked receiving the shipments 4 in the specified sequence in container 9. Between collecting belt 7 and stacking device, a device for portioning can be arranged in the matching consignments of a delivery point before stacking in bags and Bags are packed or provided with banderoles. According to the position of the container 9, the mail items 4 can be stacked in the container 9 in an upright or lying position. The broadcasts 4 are loaded on the accumulation belt 7 so that they leave it in the appropriate sequence. If consignments 4 of different, but adjacent delivery points loaded in a section 8, they must be in the specified sequence of delivery points on top of each other.

For explanation, the sequence is shown in FIG 4 in a simple example.

The consignments 4 (FIG. 4a) located in the pocket ring 5 are to be deposited in a container in the order from top to bottom blue, red, green, purple according to FIG. 4g. Pocket ring 5 and collector 7 move in opposite directions. First, the broadcast marked with purple is placed in a section of the collecting belt 7 (FIG. 4b). If the program 4 marked with green is above this section, it is placed on the program lilac (FIG. 4 c) and the program 4 marked blue runs past this section, since it is the last program in sequence, and becomes unload the following section (FIG 4d).
In FIG. 4e, the consignment has reached the red section with the two programs purple, green and is unloaded as the topmost consignment. This was done on condition that the previously measured transmission thicknesses allow the filing of the three broadcasts into one section. Subsequently, in the stacking device, the items 4 are stacked in the desired order in a container (FIG. 4f).

In order to accommodate the device for arranging the smallest possible base area, the pocket ring 5 can pass through two levels.
The part of the pocket ring 5 which does not cover the collecting belt 7 can be folded about a horizontal axis above or below the overlapping part. The pocket ring 5 then basically has the course of a lying eight, which has been folded in its node and is covered there by the buffer memory device 2 , The actuators for opening the pockets 6 of the pocket ring 5 can be arranged in a stationary synchronization between the pocket ring 5 and collector 7.
In order to keep the system as compact as possible, takes place in accordance with FIG 5 at the level transition, a 540 ° deflection over the interior the plant. Evident outside the coverage area are outputs 10 of the buffer memory device 2 for loading the pockets 6, unloading stations 11 for the additional removal of mail items 4 from the pockets 6 according to certain sorting criteria, a loading station 12 for loading the buffer bags with the items from the singulator 1 and an output 13 of the buffer memory device 2 for discharging separated programs.
If a second single installation B is rotated about its vertical axis by 180 ° and its part of the pocket ring 5 which does not cover the collecting belt 7 is folded in the opposite direction, both installations A and B can be interlocked, as shown in FIG a plant, the additional level of the pocket ring 5 above the level of the buffer memory device 2 and in the other system below the level of the buffer memory device 2 is located. As a result, only a small footprint is needed.

Of course, the example shown here can be varied by a person skilled in the art according to the specific conditions. If a singulator has e.g. not the required throughput, so several separation facilities 1 can feed the buffer bags 3 in parallel.
