  • Chain scrapers 8 mounted on the chains 5 are cleaning elements, especially chain scrapers 8, 10, in a transverse position relative to the longitudinal direction of the pipe 2. As the chain scrapers are moving, they detach impurities accumulated on the pipe walls and carry them back into the gasification space 1. Scrapers 8 are so mounted that they clean the upper and lower surfaces of the pipe, while scrapers 10 are so mounted that they clean the lateral surfaces of the pipe. While the scrapers detach impurities from the inner walls of the pipe as they are moving, they also carry the impurities back into the gasification space.
