Description

The invention relates to a shutter with a laterally guided curtain made of wood chips made of a solid wood, which form along their abutting longitudinal edges grooves and springs.

In order to use the advantageous in comparison to plastics and aluminum materials properties of the wood in terms of heat and sound insulation for blinds, it is known to manufacture the blind for shutters of wood slats, which are profiled milled from a solid wood. However, the unfavorable strength properties of the wood material require correspondingly thick wooden slats, which result in an increased winding diameter for the wound on the winding shaft curtain. Despite the required for strength reasons and for reasons of dimensional stability. Lamellar thickness remains when the shutter is closed in the manner of a tongue and groove joint resulting mutual overlap of the slats comparatively low, which adversely affects the burglary security of blinds with a curtain of wooden slats. This means that the requirements of the closed shutters in terms of heat and sound insulation on the one hand and in terms of reliability on the other hand can be better met by thicker wooden slats, because these thicker wooden slats bring better strength and insulation properties and due to their higher weight the interlocking mesh support the tongue and groove joints between their longitudinal edges. However, the use of thicker wooden slats fails, especially for larger Behanglängen the space required for the wound on the winding tube curtain.

The invention is therefore based on the object, from a solid wood machined wood slats for a curtain of a shutter so to design, that the thickness of the wood slats can be reduced without having to give up good heat and sound insulation on the one hand and high reliability on the other hand.

The invention solves the problem set by the fact that the wood slats are interspersed with a thermoplastic impregnating agent substantially free of pores.

The essentially non-porous impregnation of the wood slats with a thermoplastic impregnating agent first increases the strength of the impregnated wood slats, so that the slats can be made thinner compared to non-impregnated wood slats, which has an advantageous effect on the winding diameter of the wound on the winding shaft curtain. Despite the thinner wooden slats, the mutual overlap of the wood slats of the closed shutter and thus the burglary can be increased due to the higher strength properties, because the depth of the tongue and groove joint between the wood slats can be increased. Moreover, with the continuous impregnation of the wood lamellae, the weight loss caused by the reduced lamella thickness can be compensated, which benefits the closing function. The substantially non-porous interpenetration of the wood material with the thermoplastic impregnating the impregnated wood slats also insensitive to weather conditions, so that moisture-induced changes in shape of the wood slats can be excluded.

The impregnation of wooden moldings with a thermoplastic material, which penetrates the wood structure substantially non-porous, is known ( AT 404 106 B . EP 0 891 244 B1 . EP 1 260 331 A1 ), but so that a thermoplastic deformation of the wood workpieces by embossing, pressing or bending is sought, which is in contrast to the necessary for wood slats of shutter blinds machining.

Although it is quite possible for the production of impregnated wood slats to mill the wood slats of a impregnated with a thermoplastic impregnating solid wood material, particularly advantageous production conditions arise when the wood slats are impregnated without pores substantially after their machining profiling with a thermoplastic impregnating agent. In this context, it must be taken into account that the concentration of the thermoplastic impregnating agent inevitably decreases from the surface of the wood material towards the core region, so that impregnation of the wood chips already profiled to ensure that in particular the surface regions are pore-free penetrated by the thermoplastic impregnating agent ,

In the drawing, the subject invention is illustrated, for example, and indeed a blade according to the invention of a curtain for a shutter in a cross section is shown.

The wooden slat 1 of a blind not shown for a shutter is profiled from a solid wood by a milling, so that along the longitudinal edges on the one hand against the subsequent, dash-dotted lines indicated timber lamella 1 projecting approach 2 and on the other hand, a groove 3, in the closed Blinds approach 2 of the subsequent wooden slat 1 engages positively as a spring. After the cutting profiling of the wood slats 1 they are impregnated with a thermoplastic impregnating agent in a conventional manner, with a possible non-porous penetration of the wood material is sought with the impregnating agent. This impregnation brings an increase in strength of the wood slats 1 with it, so that the thickness of the impregnated wood slats 1 compared to conventional, dashed lines indicated wood slats 4 can be significantly reduced without having to take a loss of strength in purchasing. This increase in strength allows in particular a depression of the groove 3, so that the overlap of the interlocking in the manner of a tongue and groove joint wood slats 1 of the closed curtain and thus the burglary security is increased. The functional safety of the curtain remains are also obtained because the weight reduction due to the reduced thickness of the wood slats 1 is compensated by the impregnation with the thermoplastic impregnating agent. It thus turns out that roller shutters can be ensured by the use of largely impregnated with a thermoplastic impregnating impregnated wood lamella 1, which take advantage of wood slats, without having to accept their disadvantages, in particular with regard to the winding diameter in purchasing.
