Definitions
- the invention relates to a fire protection and / or smoke protection closure for closing a cross section of a building, consisting of a plate-shaped closure element, which consists at least partially of glass, preferably a fire protection glass, and a frame enclosing the closing element, which is frictionally connected to a building part.
- Such a fire protection is known for example from DE 196 35 409 A1.
- the frame is designed as a substantially normal Stahlaarge
- the final element consists of a disc of fire-resistant glass, which is circumferentially bordered by a U-shaped metal profile. At this metal profile, the hinges for mounting the door leaf and also the handle set and a possible door closer are attached.
- the circumferential, sturdy metallic U-profile has the task of preventing uncontrolled or excessive discarding of the door in case of fire. Only through the interaction of the enclosing profile of the end element and the equally solid executed steel frame, the fire protection is to fulfill its protective function even in case of fire, which is precisely defined in the provisions of EN 1363-1 and EN 1634 Part 1.
- the thickness of the frame elements is usually several times greater than the thickness of the fire-resistant glazing.
- a metallic, i. opaque. Frame felt in a glass door at all as disturbing, since often the character of a "glass door” is desired.
- the invention is based on the object to provide a fire protection, in which the final element to the highest possible proportion, preferably even completely made of fire protection glass, without the risk of uncontrolled distortion of the closure element in case of fire, thereby jeopardizing compliance with fire protection standards could be.
- Stabilmaschinesmittcl are provided, which are arranged in a state of rest within the frame and under heat automatically enter from the frame in the bounded by the frame cross section and with which edge regions of the closure element can be supported.
- the invention is thus based on the idea that the frame-like reinforcements in the frame, which are present in the edge region of the terminating element and thus movable, in the case of conventional fire protection terminations. a stationary component, to relocate. In the resting state of the stabilizing agent, these are not within the cross section of the terminating element and therefore do not affect its appearance in any way.
- a fire protection according to the invention it is therefore possible to make the end element completely made of fire-resistant glass, of course, the handle set or bands for the storage of the end element or a door closer and a lower smoke protection seal continue to be made of metal.
- the stabilizers only then come into action and are only visible when the fire actually occurs. Only in this case, stabilizing agents are needed in the edge region of the end element, as in the normal operating state, the strength of a glass entire closure element is quite given, such as glass doors in the normal version, ie without fire protection function, have proven for some time.
- the stabilizing means are arranged outside the visible cross section of the closure element, if they have no function to crimp, whereas in the known fire protection statements, the stabilizing agent, for example in the form of circulating. Frame elements are always firmly connected to the end element and therefore affect its appearance in not inconsiderable manner.
- the frame as a location for the stabilizers in the non-active state is a particularly advantageous place, as there is usually sufficient space available to accommodate the stabilizing agent including its self-acting drive, without the optical properties of the frame are adversely affected , In the case often exists even the possibility of these sunk, ie, for example, completely cleaned, install, so that when using a glass cover element no metal parts are more visible to the viewer when the perennialelcment example between opposite walls and between the ceiling and floor of a Flures extends and the frame is flush-mounted in walls, ceiling and floor or plaster or floor covering.
- the fire protection completion according to the invention, it also fulfills its properties required by the relevant regulations.
- the stabilizing agents are within the limited by the frame cross-section that the edge regions of the end element can support and thereby prevent excessive distortion of the same and resulting flame passage safely.
- the stabilization function is particularly good when the closure element is bilateral, i. from its two sides of Stabilmaschinesffenn supportable. Also, the stabilizing means should extend in an elongated manner parallel to the end faces of the closing element, in order to enable the widest possible and not only selective support in case of fire.
- the stabilizing agents contain an activatable heat-activatable intumescent, in particular sodium silicate.
- an activatable heat-activatable intumescent in particular sodium silicate.
- the invention further ausgestaltend is provided that the stabilizing agent have at least one stabilizing profile, in particular a steel profile.
- the stabilizing agent have at least one stabilizing profile, in particular a steel profile.
- the stabilizing agents are formed by a filled with an intumescent hollow profile having an opening facing away from the direction of movement of the stabilizing agent.
- the foam formed which occupies a much larger volume compared to the intumescent, exiting through the opening and supported on a suitable support surface of the frame, whereby the hollow profile is advanced in the cross section of the closure element.
- the "drive” of the stabilizer thus takes place according to the "Rückstoss flick".
- the placement of the intumescent, ie the driving material of the stabilizing agent in a hollow profile further allows a very good dosage and a protected, because completed, housing the intumescent. Through the opening in Incidentally, the intumescent layer can be very easily introduced into the hollow profile.

- the inherent stabilization function for the edge regions of the end element is not to be considered at all.
- the places where the stabilization profiles emerge in case of fire can be made completely invisible, so that such a frame can also meet very high aesthetic requirements. Only in case of fire, the cover profile of such a frame breaks exactly at the points from which emerge the stabilization profiles.
- the material thickness in the area of the predetermined breaking points and the quantity and type of intumescent agent must be coordinated in such a way that a secure emergence of the stabilization profiles is ensured.
- cover profile is connected to a holding profile, preferably via latching noses, and the stiffening profile is arranged between the holding profile and the cover profile, this results in a very space-saving positioning of the stiffening profile between the mutually parallel stabilization profiles together with the associated guide profiles.

- the cover is provided on both sides next to the receiving groove for the fire protection strip with a parallel extending retaining groove for receiving a respective holding portion of an elastic sealing profile that spans the fire protection strip In a preferably curved central region of this elastic sealing profile, the end face of the closing element comes to rest. As a result, the required tightness between the end element and frame can be achieved, which must be given to meet the relevant smoke protection standards.
- the frame in particular the base profile, to the part of the building facing side is provided with a receiving groove for receiving a fire protection strip.
- the foaming that occurs then leads to an automatic sealing of the gap area between the frame and the building part, even if this gap area has an irregular shape and size.
- the closing element essentially consists entirely of fire protection glass or is an all-glass door leaf.
- the definition of the terms "complete” or “all-glass” is not intended to preclude the circumstance on the one hand that functional parts such as press towers, bands or door closers are made of metallic materials or if the sealed surfaces of the fire protection glass are sealed, for example by means of film strips or thin metal strips are, in order to protect the environmentally sensitive sodium silicate, which is in the usual fire protection between the individual glass layers, from contact with air and water.
- Fig. 1 shows a view of a fire protection 1 in the form of a glass door, consisting of a closing element 2 in the form of a door leaf, which consists of holding plates 4 together with a handle set 3, bearing pin 4a and a door closer 5 completely made of a fire-resistant glass of known type, and a frame 6, which is non-positively, in particular by means of screws, connected to a building part 7 in the form of a wall.
- the frame 6 is essentially completely covered by a plaster layer P applied to the building part 7 after installation of the frame and runs along the two vertical end faces of the tower leaf and at least along the horizontal upper side Front side, if necessary, the horizontal lower, ie would then be embedded in the floor.
- the frame has a base profile 8, which consists of steel and is designed in two layers in its central region 9, because there are an upper part 10 and a lower part 11 of the base profile 8, for example, connected by welding. Alternatively, however, is also a one-piece design of the base profile 8 into consideration.
- Upper part 10 and lower part 11 of the base profile 8 together form two guide profiles 12, which are arranged on both sides of the central region 9.
- the guide profiles 12 have in cross section the shape of a U and have at the ends of their legs 13 each inwardly projecting feet 14, which take over the function of stop means.
- a stabilizing profile 15 is arranged, which also consists of steel and is U-shaped in cross section, wherein the two U-sections of the guide profiles 12 and the stabilizing profiles 15 are arranged rotated by 180 ° to each other.
- At the ends of the legs 16 of the stabilizing profiles 15 outwardly projecting hooks 17 are arranged. The hooks 17 prevent the stabilization profiles 15 from escaping from the guide profiles 12 and cause a limitation of a relative movement of guide profiles 12 and stabilization profiles 15 relative to each other.
- the stabilization profiles 15 are substantially completely filled in their interior with an intumescent agent 18, in particular a sodium silicate, which swells up under the influence of heat.
- an intumescent agent 18 in particular a sodium silicate, which swells up under the influence of heat.

- the cover profile 21 is broken in the region of the left opening area at the predetermined breaking points 31.
- the stabilization profiles 15 located on the "hot side” are in their stabilization position in FIG. 3, in which the hooks 17 bear on the legs 14 of the legs 13 of the guide profiles 12, so that a further exit movement of the stabilization profiles 15 is prevented.
- the stabilization profile 15 is located within the cross section of the end element 2 and can therefore support its edge regions 39 and therefore prevent excessive distortion.
- the tightness with respect to a Flammendurehtritt through the gap between the end face 35 of the end member 2 and the frame 6 is taken over by the intumescent of activated in this state fire protection strip 34.
- the insulating layer is also located in the space between the edge regions 39 of the end element 2 and the leg 16 of the stabilization profile 15, so that the support function of the stabilization profile 15 is an indirect.
- FIG. 4 also shows how the stabilization profiles 15 are located on both sides of the fire protection closure 1 in the activated position and, as a result, the end element 2 can be supported in both directions if necessary.
- the respective (temporal) swelling behavior of the intumescent of the fire protection strip 34 and the stabilization profiles 15 and the concrete deformation of the end element 2 it is possible that in places both stabilization profiles 15 are activated, whereas at other points of the frame. 6 only the stabilizing profile 15 is activated on one side of the end element 3. In any case, it could be demonstrated by means of the corresponding fire tests that, in conjunction with the seal caused by the fire protection strip 34, the relevant standards could always be reliably adhered to.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fire protection and / or smoke protection closure for closing a cross section of a building, consisting of a plate-shaped closure element, which consists at least partially of glass, preferably a fire protection glass, and a frame enclosing the closing element, which is frictionally connected to a building part.
Such a fire protection is known for example from DE 196 35 409 A1. In this known Feuerschutzabschluss the frame is designed as a substantially normal Stahlaarge The final element consists of a disc of fire-resistant glass, which is circumferentially bordered by a U-shaped metal profile. At this metal profile, the hinges for mounting the door leaf and also the handle set and a possible door closer are attached. The circumferential, sturdy metallic U-profile has the task of preventing uncontrolled or excessive discarding of the door in case of fire. Only through the interaction of the enclosing profile of the end element and the equally solid executed steel frame, the fire protection is to fulfill its protective function even in case of fire, which is precisely defined in the provisions of EN 1363-1 and EN 1634
It is disadvantageous in the aforementioned Feuerschutzabschluss but also in all other similarly constructed known Feuerschutzabschlüssen that the final element due to the circumferential metallic frame in particular architectural and aesthetic claims often can not do justice. On the one hand, the thickness of the frame elements is usually several times greater than the thickness of the fire-resistant glazing. On the other hand, a metallic, i. opaque. Frame felt in a glass door at all as disturbing, since often the character of a "glass door" is desired.
The invention is based on the object to provide a fire protection, in which the final element to the highest possible proportion, preferably even completely made of fire protection glass, without the risk of uncontrolled distortion of the closure element in case of fire, thereby jeopardizing compliance with fire protection standards could be.
Starting from a fire protection and / or smoke protection of the type described above, the object is achieved in that Stabilisierungsmittcl are provided, which are arranged in a state of rest within the frame and under heat automatically enter from the frame in the bounded by the frame cross section and with which edge regions of the closure element can be supported.
The invention is thus based on the idea that the frame-like reinforcements in the frame, which are present in the edge region of the terminating element and thus movable, in the case of conventional fire protection terminations. a stationary component, to relocate. In the resting state of the stabilizing agent, these are not within the cross section of the terminating element and therefore do not affect its appearance in any way. In a fire protection according to the invention, it is therefore possible to make the end element completely made of fire-resistant glass, of course, the handle set or bands for the storage of the end element or a door closer and a lower smoke protection seal continue to be made of metal.
According to the invention, the stabilizers only then come into action and are only visible when the fire actually occurs. Only in this case, stabilizing agents are needed in the edge region of the end element, as in the normal operating state, the strength of a glass entire closure element is quite given, such as glass doors in the normal version, ie without fire protection function, have proven for some time. In a fire protection according to the invention thus the stabilizing means are arranged outside the visible cross section of the closure element, if they have no function to crimp, whereas in the known fire protection statements, the stabilizing agent, for example in the form of circulating. Frame elements are always firmly connected to the end element and therefore affect its appearance in not inconsiderable manner. The frame as a location for the stabilizers in the non-active state is a particularly advantageous place, as there is usually sufficient space available to accommodate the stabilizing agent including its self-acting drive, without the optical properties of the frame are adversely affected , In the case often exists even the possibility of these sunk, ie, for example, completely cleaned, install, so that when using a glass cover element no metal parts are more visible to the viewer when the Abschlusselcment example between opposite walls and between the ceiling and floor of a Flures extends and the frame is flush-mounted in walls, ceiling and floor or plaster or floor covering.
Despite these very advantageous optical properties of the fire protection completion according to the invention, it also fulfills its properties required by the relevant regulations. In case of fire, namely, the stabilizing agents are within the limited by the frame cross-section that the edge regions of the end element can support and thereby prevent excessive distortion of the same and resulting flame passage safely.
The stabilization function is particularly good when the closure element is bilateral, i. from its two sides of Stabilisierungsmitteln supportable. Also, the stabilizing means should extend in an elongated manner parallel to the end faces of the closing element, in order to enable the widest possible and not only selective support in case of fire.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the stabilizing agents contain an activatable heat-activatable intumescent, in particular sodium silicate. These substances, which have long been proven in the prior art and foam in the event of fire, can have such a strength in the foamed state which is encrusted under the action of heat that they alone can fulfill the function of the stabilizing agents.
The invention further ausgestaltend is provided that the stabilizing agent have at least one stabilizing profile, in particular a steel profile. In this way, a very high strength of the stabilizing agent is achieved, so that even very large internal deformation forces of the Abscblusselements, especially when very uneven exposure to heat, can be supported.
According to a particularly preferred. Embodiment, the stabilizing agents are formed by a filled with an intumescent hollow profile having an opening facing away from the direction of movement of the stabilizing agent. When swelling the intumescent in case of fire, the foam formed, which occupies a much larger volume compared to the intumescent, exiting through the opening and supported on a suitable support surface of the frame, whereby the hollow profile is advanced in the cross section of the closure element. The "drive" of the stabilizer thus takes place according to the "Rückstossprinzip". The placement of the intumescent, ie the driving material of the stabilizing agent in a hollow profile further allows a very good dosage and a protected, because completed, housing the intumescent. Through the opening in Incidentally, the intumescent layer can be very easily introduced into the hollow profile.
According to the invention it is further proposed that the stabilization profile is slidably mounted in a guide profile, wherein the guide profile and / or the stabilization profile have stop means which define a stabilization position in which the stabilization profile has emerged maximally from the frame.
In this way, an uncontrolled wide retraction of the stabilization profiles is prevented and also ensured in the stabilizing position that the stabilization profile are still held in the guide profiles, and in particular laterally to the direction of movement of the stabilizing profiles acting, can exert forces exerted by the closing element. The stabilization profiles and the guide profiles thus act together according to the telescopic principle, which in particular allows the absorption of Qucrkräften even in the extended state.
According to a preferred embodiment, the stabilization profile in cross-section U-shaped with formed at the ends of its legs outboard feet and the guide profile in cross-section inverted U-shaped with formed at the ends of its legs inwardly projecting hook. By simple forming processing, such as bending or extrusion, can be produced in this way effective stop means for limiting the exit movement of the stabilization profiles.
To reduce the production costs, it is proposed that two guide profiles are combined to form a base profile and that a stiffening profile is arranged between the guide profiles. The latter has the task of ensuring the rigidity of the frame construction, in particular to absorb the forces that are caused by the bands movable, for example, tiltable, pivotal or hinged mounted end elements to accommodate.
It is also possible that the base profile, consisting of a lower part, which has the opposite legs of the two guide profiles, and a non-positively connected, in particular welded, upper part, which has the mutually facing legs of the two guide profiles.
It is also provided according to the invention that the frame has a cover, which covers the stabilization profiles and / or the guide profiles and with predetermined breaking points is provided, which limit an opening area, which can be lifted by the swelling Dämmschichtbildner. In the non-activated state of the stabilization profiles of the frame in such a configuration, the inherent stabilization function for the edge regions of the end element is not to be considered at all. The places where the stabilization profiles emerge in case of fire, can be made completely invisible, so that such a frame can also meet very high aesthetic requirements. Only in case of fire, the cover profile of such a frame breaks exactly at the points from which emerge the stabilization profiles. Of course, the material thickness in the area of the predetermined breaking points and the quantity and type of intumescent agent must be coordinated in such a way that a secure emergence of the stabilization profiles is ensured.
If the cover profile is connected to a holding profile, preferably via latching noses, and the stiffening profile is arranged between the holding profile and the cover profile, this results in a very space-saving positioning of the stiffening profile between the mutually parallel stabilization profiles together with the associated guide profiles.
In order to prevent a flame passage in the region of the end faces of the closure element, the cover profile can be provided in its central region with an undercut receiving groove for receiving a fire protection strip, consisting of an activatable under heat insulating layer. In this case, the sealing function does not have to be taken over by the stabilizing agents, in particular not by a metallic stabilizing profile.
In order to be able to meet the requirements of a Rauchschutzabschluss with the fire protection according to the invention, it is proposed that the cover is provided on both sides next to the receiving groove for the fire protection strip with a parallel extending retaining groove for receiving a respective holding portion of an elastic sealing profile that spans the fire protection strip In a preferably curved central region of this elastic sealing profile, the end face of the closing element comes to rest. As a result, the required tightness between the end element and frame can be achieved, which must be given to meet the relevant smoke protection standards.
In order to minimize the sealing work in the area between the frame and the adjoining building part , it is proposed that the frame, in particular the base profile, to the part of the building facing side is provided with a receiving groove for receiving a fire protection strip. In the event of fire, the foaming that occurs then leads to an automatic sealing of the gap area between the frame and the building part, even if this gap area has an irregular shape and size.
Finally, it is also envisaged that the closing element essentially consists entirely of fire protection glass or is an all-glass door leaf. However, the definition of the terms "complete" or "all-glass" is not intended to preclude the circumstance on the one hand that functional parts such as press towers, bands or door closers are made of metallic materials or if the sealed surfaces of the fire protection glass are sealed, for example by means of film strips or thin metal strips are, in order to protect the environmentally sensitive sodium silicate, which is in the usual fire protection between the individual glass layers, from contact with air and water.

Fig. 1 shows a view of a
From Fig.2 it can be seen that the frame has a
In each

In the
The
In the region of the transitions between the vertical and the horizontal sections of the
The
In the middle region 22, the cover profile further comprises a
On both sides of the receiving
Fig. 3 shows the
Finally, FIG. 4 also shows how the stabilization profiles 15 are located on both sides of the
