Abstract

Für eine Maschine (10) zur Herstellung oder/und Behandlung einer Materialbahn (12) insbesondere aus Papier oder Karton, in der die Materialbahn (12) unter Vermittlung wenigstens einer Materialbahnführungseinrichtung (18) von einem Materialbahnerzeugungsabschnitt oder Materialbahneingabeabschnitt entlang eines Materialbahnführungswegs führbar ist, um wenigstens eine Materialbahnbehandlungseinrichtung (14) zu passieren, mit einer Einrichtung zur Bildung eines Überführstreifens der Materialbahn und Überführung des Überführstreifens durch die Maschine (10), wobei die Materialbahn (12) dadurch entlang dem Materialbahnführungsweg überführbar ist, dass vermittels der Einrichtung zur Bildung und Überführung des Überführstreifens ein vorlaufender Überführstreifen der Materialbahn (12) gebildet und durch die Maschine (10) geführt und die Breite des Überführstreifens auf die volle Materialbahnbreite vergrößert wird (so genanntes "Breitfahren"), und mit einer Einrichtung (18) zur Erfassung eines Abrisses der Materialbahn (12), wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Einrichtung (18) zur Erfassung eines Abrisses der Materialbahn (12) dafür vorgesehen und ausgelegt ist, während der Überführung der Materialbahn (12), insbesondere während der Vergrößerung der Breite des Überführstreifens, auf einen Abriss des Überführstreifens oder der Materialbahn (12) anzusprechen.
