Description

  • The invention relates to a Leitschwellenanordnung according to the features in the preamble of claim 1.
  • It is an increasing problem in practice that the frequency of accidents, and in particular the severity of accidents, increases greatly on roads lined by trees or similar obstacles. It is not at all so rare that these accidents end in death.
  • Since the trees are usually located directly on the edge of a roadway and they may not be removed for various reasons, but in particular the environmental and nature protection, it is not possible in most cases, to arrange guard rail assemblies with a higher containment level in front of the trees. It is then usually only a simple Leitschwellenanordnung provided, the fixed to the ground posts and a road side along the upper ends of the post extending guardrail of weftwise releasably connected guardrails having a W-shaped cross-section. However, such a Leitschwellenanordnung does not provide adequate protection, since the energy deforming deflection of an impacting motor vehicle necessary bulging of the guardrail strand can not take place.   • The invention is - based on the prior art - the object of providing a Leitschwellenanordnung along with obstacles, such as trees in particular, trimmed roads that deflects an impacting motor vehicle safely.
  • This object is achieved with the features specified in claim 1.
  • Where there is an obstacle in the course of a Leitschwellenanordnung, in particular a tree that prevents the event of an impact by a motor vehicle, the desired bulging of the guardrail and instead allows dangerous bag formation before the obstacle, now the guardrail strand is stiffened targeted. For this purpose, the space between the guard rail and the post carrying it is used. In this clearance, depending on the guard rail type, at least one U- or trapezoidal support spar open towards the guard rail is incorporated. This support beam lies with its web on the posts and engages with the longitudinal edges of his legs in concave to the posts longitudinal recesses of the guardrails.   • The assembly of a support beam is facilitated by the features of claim 2, characterized in that the support beam is fixed together with the crash barriers by bolts and nuts to the standard distance of 2 m or 4 m consecutive post.
  • According to the features of claim 3, the web of the support spar is provided with mounting holes in the joint area of two crash barriers. Since the support strut or the support struts are fixed to the posts in front of the crash barriers, the screw connections of the overlapping areas of the guardrails must be accessible from the rear side facing away from the roadway.   • As shown in the features of claim 4, the web of the support beam is provided with a plurality of holes arranged in a row. Claims (6)

  1. Crash barrier arrangement comprising posts (5) secured to the ground (4) and a barrier rail run (7, 7a) which, on the carriageway side, extends along the upper ends (6) of the posts (5) and which is composed of barrier rails (8, 8a) of W-shaped cross section which are detachably interconnected in sections, these barrier rails being screwed to the posts (5) by means of screw bolts (18) and nuts (19) via the webs (9) defining their central channels (20, 20a) which are open towards the carriageway (3), characterized in that at least one U-shaped or trapezoidal support beam (13, 13a) which is open with respect to the barrier rails (8, 8a) is integrated between the barrier rails (8, 8a) and the posts (5) and engages by way of the longitudinal edges (15, 15a) of its flanges (16, 16a) in longitudinal depressions (17, 17a) of the barrier rails (8, 8a) that are curved concavely with respect to the posts (5).
