Lock for motor vehicle doors and openings, comprising a mobile locking lever (16), moving between a first position corresponding to the lock's unlocked state and a second position corresponding to the lock's locked state, a linking rod (17), which, in response to a movement of locking lever (16) between its first and second position, moves between an active first position and an inactive second position, characterised in that it comprises an elastic device (21) for storing locking energy in case link rod (17) jams in its first active position, in order to automatically cause link rod (17) to move from its first active position to its second inactive position after link rod (17) has become unjammed.
  2. Lock of claim 1, characterised in that elastic device (21) can also store unlocking energy in case link rod (17) jams, in order to automatically cause link rod (17) to move from its second inactive position to its first active position after link rod (17) has become unjammed.
  3. Lock of claim 1 or 2, characterised in that elastic device (21) comprises a dual arm helical torsion spring (21 a, 21 b), connecting locking lever (16) directly to link rod (17).
  4. Lock of claims 2 and 3 together, characterised in that one of the arms (21a) is used to move link rod (17) from its second inactive position to its first active position and that the other arm (21 b) is used to move link rod (17) from its first active position to its second inactive position.
  5. Lock of any of claims 3 to 4, characterised in that both arms (21 a, 21 b) of the helical torsion spring (21) are crossed, when viewed in the axial direction.
  6. Lock of claim 5, characterised in that locking lever (16) is essentially disk-shaped with a central hub (16a), an aperture (18) formed in said disk and which runs in a circular arc around a part of central hub (16a), and at least one drive part (26, 27) which protrudes on said disk face midway along at least one longitudinal edge of the arc-shaped aperture (18).
  7. Lock of claim 6, characterised in that helical torsion spring (21) is distributed around the central hub (16a) of locking lever (16) such that the two arms (21a, 21 b) of said helical torsion spring (21) hold between them said drive part (26, 27) of locking lever (16) and pass radially through the arc-shaped aperture (18).
  8. Lock of claim 7, characterised in that link rod (17) includes, at one of its ends, a first coupling stud (17a) which is inserted into the arched-shaped aperture (18) of locking lever (16) between the two arms (21 a, 21 b) of helical torsion spring (21), and at its other end, a second coupling stud (17b), which is inserted into an oblong aperture (28) formed lengthwise in an opening lever (12), whereby said oblong aperture (28) runs in a first direction that enables link rod (17) to move from its first to its second position when opening lever (12) is in resting position, and in a second direction, which prevents link rod (17) making said movement when opening lever (12) is in its open position.
  9. Lock of any of claims 1 to 8, comprising a bolt (3), a catch (5) for holding the bolt in a position corresponding to the lock's closed states, and a mobile opening lever (12) controlled by an opening command means (13) such as to move between the lock's resting position and its open position of, characterised in that the lock in addition includes a false catch (8) and that catch (5), false catch (8) and opening lever (12) are assembled in this order on a common pivoting pin (6), such false catch (8) rotates jointly with catch (5) and includes a lug (8a) on which the second coupling stud (17b) of the link rod (17) acts in order to cause false catch (8) and catch (5) to move to the bolt's (3) release position when link rod (17) is in its first position and opening lever (12) has moved from the resting position to the open position.
  10. Lock of claim 9, characterised in that lug (8a) includes a resting surface (29) designed to act as said locking component (29).
  11. Lock of any of claims 9 to 10, characterised in that opening lever (12) is an external opening lever intended to be connected by means of a force transmission component (13) to an external opening control component of a motor vehicle door.
