Abstract

L'invention concerne une machine-outil (10) destinée à usiner des pièces de forme allongée, généralement capable d'usiner ces pièces et de garantir en même temps une visibilité optimale et un usinage facile d'une pluralité de surfaces et comprenant une tête (40) de support d'outils destinée à usiner les pièces, des moyens de déplacement (30, 32, 36, 38) permettant de déplacer ladite tête (40) en fonction d'au moins trois axes de travail commandés (X, Y, Z) et un ensemble de support (26) de pièces à usiner de forme allongée permettant de supporter les pièces à usiner. Ledit ensemble comprend au moins une série d'extensions (42) du support de pièces à usiner mobile entre une position de préhension de la pièce à usiner et une position de libération de celle-ci. Des moyens de chargement (48) permettant de charger les pièces à usiner sont interposés, pendant le fonctionnement, entre un magasin (50) de pièces à usiner et l'ensemble de support de pièces à usiner (26). Au moins un axe de travail (Z) est incliné par rapport au plan horizontal (P) et les moyens de chargement (48) sont disposés de manière à transporter les pièces à usiner le long d'une voie de chargement (52) parallèle à l'axe incliné (Z) et s'étendant à partir du magasin (50) vers l'ensemble de support (26) de pièces à usiner disposé dans la position de préhension.
