In practice however, it may happen that one desires to attain a very high positioning accuracy, and that this high positioning accuracy is difficult to attain by only operating the motor 45, even though it is possible to let that motor run at very low speed.

From that extreme point onwards, a further displacement of the object carrier upward is not possible, while a displacement of the object carrier 40 downward along the carrier 31 always involves an increasing distance relative to the outer wall 2.
