- MF resins melamine-formaldehyde resins
- MUPF resins melamine-urea-phenol-formaldehyde resins
- the binders are often subdivided into non-foaming (compact) and foam-forming (foaming, porous) binders.
- the compact binders are preferably used in practice for bonding flat substrates in order to achieve full-surface adhesive bonds with high strength. Stable pasty variants of these compact binders are used to bond gap-bridging.
- Foaming binders are used if low adhesive strengths are sufficient and if gap-bridging bonding is required.
- Foaming binders are preferably used when the use of paste-like adhesives for cavity filling, such as in the bonding of chips or granules of low-density products, can be realized only with difficulty.
- WO 99/30882 describes a process for the production of moldings consisting essentially of wood particles and / or cellulose-containing material (component A) and a porous polyurethane binder (component B) in a weight ratio of 0.05 to 1.0: 1.0 Component (B) to component (A) exist. Abstract
