Definitions
- the invention relates to a heating device for heating a thread, in particular in a texturing machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the threads are heated in a texturing machine by means of heating devices for texturing and stretching and for shrinking treatment.
- different heating devices have been developed which bring about optimum heating of the thread in the respective process.
- Heating devices in which the thread is guided through a thread channel formed within a heating tube have proven particularly useful for this process step.
- Such heaters are known for example from DE 23 48 371, DE 31 01 925 AI or DE 34 35 27 AI.
- the heating tube is formed by a thin-walled tube which is surrounded by a heating jacket filled with a heat transfer medium.
- a tubular insert, in which a thread channel extends for thread guidance, is embedded within the heating tube for thread guidance.
- the thread is preferably heated by contactless convection.
- such devices are also known for heating the thread with contact.
- the tubular insert without, if possible any gaps in the heating tube are fitted to avoid heat transfer losses.
- the inserts are preferably held interchangeably in the heating tube, pressing in, for example, to achieve narrow gaps and good heat transfer is not possible.
- heating devices are preferably used, as are known for example from EP 0 412 429 AI.
- the threads are guided with high thread tension during heating.
- the threads have their own dynamic generated from the texturing, so that high demands are placed on the thread guide.
- Such heating devices are preferably designed as so-called high-temperature heaters, in which the threads are guided in a heating groove with thread guide elements. The flanks and the groove edge of the heating groove are heated by resistance elements, the heating surface having a temperature which is above the melt temperature of the thread material. Therefore, the threads are kept at a distance from the heating surface.
- such heating devices are hardly suitable for heating a thread in the de-energized state, since any unintentional contact of the thread with one of the heating surfaces leads directly to filament damage to the thread.
- Another object of the invention is to achieve the highest possible thread temperatures in the thread channel using the energy generated by a heating jacket.
- the invention has the particular advantage that there is a separation between the function of the thread guide and the heat transfer within the thread channel.
- the insert required for thread guidance of the thread extends along a partial area of the wall of the heating tube.
- the remaining part of the wall of the heating tube directly adjoins the thread channel, so that the heat from the wall of the heating tube can be emitted directly into the thread channel.
- the insert is formed by a profile rail, on the open longitudinal sides of which a thread guide is formed.
- the thread channel is formed between the open long side of the profile rail and the wall of the heating tube. With the opposite long side, the profile rail is directly adapted to the wall of the heating pipes.
- the wall of the heating tube can thus be formed from a material which enables optimum heat transfer. Inadmissible wear due to thread contact is avoided by the profile rail, which in turn is formed from a material suitable for thread guidance. Due to the only partially covered wall of the heating tube, the heat input into the thread channel is considerably improved. It was thus observed that a higher thread temperature could be achieved in the thread channel compared to known devices.
- the thread channel is formed by a longitudinal groove on the open long side of the profile rail.
- the thread is then preferably guided in the groove base of the longitudinal groove.
- the longitudinal groove of the profile rail has a curvature extending in the direction of thread running, so that a tension-free thread runs safely through the thread channel and heats it evenly can be. It must be taken into account that the curvature alone must be formed in the profile rail.
- the heating tube has an uncurved straight shape.
- the advantageous development of the invention according to claim 4 is preferably used.
- the longitudinal groove of the profile rail or the profile rail itself has a plurality of sub-sections adjoining in the thread running direction.
- a heating zone with thread contact and a heating zone without thread contact could preferably be formed.
- the guide elements can easily be arranged at a distance from one another on the open long side of the profile rail.
- the guide elements which can be formed, for example, by ceramic inserts, allow a high degree of flexibility in the thread guide within the heating device.
- the guide elements can extend over the entire length of the profile rail or over a partial section of the profile rail.
- the shape of the profile rail and the shape of the heating tube is arbitrary.
- the heating tube is preferably formed by a tube.
- the tube can be straight or curved.

- Fig. 5 schematically shows a longitudinal section of a further embodiment of the heating device according to the invention
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a longitudinal section of a first exemplary embodiment of the heating device according to the invention, as would be used, for example, in a texturing machine for heating a crimped thread for tension treatment in a shrinking zone.
- 2 shows the cross-sectional view of the exemplary embodiment of the heating device according to the invention.
- the exemplary embodiment of the heating device according to the invention has an elongated heating tubes 1 with the wall 3.
- the heating tube 1 with the wall 3 is formed in this exemplary embodiment by a thin-walled tube.
- the heating tube 1 is open to the end faces.
- An insert 5 in the form of a profile rail 9 is inserted within the heating tube 1.
- the profile rail 9 has an open long side 10 and an opposite long side 11. On the open long side 10, the profile rail 9 has a longitudinal groove 12.
- a thread channel 6 is formed, which has a thread inlet 7 and a to the end faces Thread outlet 8 forms.
- Thread outlet 8 forms With the long side 11, the profile rail 9 lies directly against the wall 3 of the heating tube 1.
- the contact between the profile rail 9 and the wall 3 of the heating tube 1 is designed such that heat transfer from the wall 3 to the profile rail 9 is possible.
- the heating tube 1 is surrounded on the circumference by a heating jacket 2.
- the heating jacket 2 is formed by a heating box 18 which is filled with a heat transfer medium 4.
- the heating box 18 is connected to an evaporator 21 via an inlet 19 and an outlet 20.
- the outlet 20 is arranged at a lower end and the inlet 19 is preferably arranged at an upper end of the heating box 18.
- the heating box 18 and the heating tube 1 arranged inside the heating box 18 are therefore preferably set up vertically or inclined.
- the condensate of the heat transfer medium 4 is discharged from the heating box 18 via the outlet 20 and passed to the evaporator 21.
- the heat transfer medium 4 is evaporated within the evaporator 21 and returned to the heating box 18 via the inlet 19.
- the heating jacket 2 formed by the vaporous heat transfer medium 4 and the heating box 18 heats the heating tube 1 evenly over the entire length of the wall 3.
- the heating jacket 2 could, however, also be formed by electrical means in order to heat the heating tube 1.
- an inlet thread guide 16 is assigned to the thread inlet 7 and an outlet thread guide 17 to the thread outlet 8.
- the inlet thread guide 16 and the outlet thread guide 17 are arranged such that the thread 13 is guided through the thread channel 6 essentially with contact in the longitudinal groove 12 of the profiled rail 9.
- the thread channel 6 is supplied with the energy required to heat the thread 13 directly from the heating jacket 2 via the wall 3 of the heating tube 1.
- the wall 3 of the heating tube 1 can preferably be made of one material be made which has a good thermal conductivity. Thus, the energy transferred from the heating jacket 2 to the wall 3 can be introduced directly into the thread channel 6 without significant losses.
- the profiled rail 9 is held on one side in the heating tubes 1.
- the thread 13 is guided in the longitudinal groove 12 of the profile rail 9.
- the profile rail 9 has a wear-resistant surface at least on the surface of the longitudinal groove 12.
- An additional contact heating of the thread 13 in the longitudinal groove 12 is achieved by heat transfer from the wall 3 into the profile rail 9.
- the longitudinal groove 12 has a curvature extending in the direction of the thread. The thread 13 thus passes through the thread channel 6 in a slight arc, which is determined by the curvature of the longitudinal groove 12.
- the profile rail 9 is preferably held in the heating tube 1 in an easily replaceable manner.
- a cleaning of the profile rail 9 and in particular a cleaning of the longitudinal groove 12 contaminated by thread deposits can be carried out in a simple manner by pulling the profile rail 9 out of the heating tube 1 before cleaning and pushing it back into the heating tube 1 after cleaning.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 A further exemplary embodiment of the heating device according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the heating device is shown schematically in a longitudinal section in FIG. 3 and schematically in a cross section in FIG. 4. Unless express reference is made to one of the figures, the following description applies to both figures.
- the exemplary embodiment is essentially identical to the previous exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2. In this respect, reference is made to the previous one Description Reference and only the differences shown here.
- the exemplary embodiment of the heating device according to the invention shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is particularly suitable for heating a thread essentially without contact.
- a profile rail 9 is arranged within the heating tube 1.
- the profile rail 9 On an open long side 10, the profile rail 9 has a longitudinal groove 12 which extends over the entire length of the heating tube 1.
- a plurality of spaced-apart guide elements 14 are arranged within the longitudinal groove 12.
- the guide elements 14 have very short guide surfaces on which the thread 13 is guided within the longitudinal groove 12.
- the arrangement of the guide elements 14 within the longitudinal groove 12 can be arranged in a row or in a zigzag or arc shape in accordance with the desired thread guide.
- the guide elements 14 are preferably designed to be interchangeable and variably positionable within the longitudinal groove 12 of the profiled rail 9, so that there is a high degree of flexibility with regard to thread guide and thread heating.
- the guide elements 14 are preferably formed by ceramic materials or ceramic coatings on the contact surfaces with the thread 13.
- the heating tube 1 is cuboidal in this embodiment.
- the profiled rail 9 resting on one side against the wall 3 can be exchanged, positioned and held in a simple manner.
- the heating jacket 2 for heating the heating tube 1 is formed according to the previous exemplary embodiment by a heating box 18 and a heat transfer medium 4 filled inside the heating box 18. In this case, the thermal energy is released directly into the thread channel 6 essentially via the wall 3 of the heating tube 1.
- 5 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the heating device according to the invention in a longitudinal sectional view.
- the structure of the heating tube 1 and the heating jacket 2 is identical to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. In this regard, reference is made to the preceding description.
- the profile rail 9 inserted within the heating tube 1 is formed in this exemplary embodiment by two subsections 15.1 and 15.2.
- the sections 15.1 and 15.2 are preferably connected to one another, so that the sections 15.1 and 15.2 can be inserted and executed together.
- the sections 15.1 and 15.2 are held in the profile rail 9 separately from one another and exchangeable from both end faces of the heating tube 1.
- the section 15.1 in the profile rail 9 is designed according to the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 and the partial section 15.2 of the profile rail 9 is designed according to the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4.
- section 15.1 the thread 13 is guided essentially in contact in the longitudinal groove 12.
- the thread 13 in the section 15.2 is guided through the guide elements 14 in the longitudinal groove 12 essentially without contact.
- two different treatment zones are formed within the heating tube 1, which the thread 13 passes through in succession.
- FIGS. 1 to 5 are exemplary in their construction and configuration.
- the illustration of a heat insulation surrounding the heating box 18 was dispensed with.
- profiled rails of any design with or without thread guide elements can be used in the heating tube for the thread guide. It is essential here that a thread channel is formed, which is essentially heated directly by the wall of the heating tube. A temperature determined by the heating jacket is thus achieved in the thread channel, and the transmission losses can be kept very low.
- Another major advantage is the design of the open profile rail in such a way that after changing the profile rail from the heating tube, a quick and effective cleaning possibility of the surfaces contacted with the thread is possible. In this way, any shape and guide contours can be introduced both in the profile rail and in the guide elements of the profile rail.
