Description

Scheibenwischvorrichtung, insbesondere für ein KraftfahrzeugWindscreen wiper device, in particular for a motor vehicle
Stand der TechnikState of the art
The invention relates to a windshield wiper device for a motor vehicle according to the preamble of the independent claim.
Numerous windshield wiper devices are known, for example from DE 199 03 140 AI, which have a wiper bearing which comprises at least one bearing housing in which a wiper shaft is mounted, which is axially fixed by means of an element and carries a wiper arm at a first end. The axial fixation is designed such that the element is deformed when energy is exerted on the wiper arm or on the first end of the wiper shaft. If a pedestrian hits the wiper arms or wiper shaft in the event of an accident, these can retreat, which means that the pedestrian is less injured. The fact that the element absorbs energy also prevents the pedestrian from colliding with all of the energy on the vehicle body due to the retraction of the wiper arms. For this purpose, the elements are designed as a row of thin-walled, plate-shaped sheet metal sleeves, which can also have a corrugated area. However, such elements are complex and expensive to manufacture and cannot be repaired after an impact.
Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention
The windshield wiper device according to the invention with the features of the main claim has the advantage that a very inexpensive, effective and easy to dimension option of a plug-in design of the element Pedestrian impact protection for windshield wiper devices is given, moreover, because the windshield wiper device can be plugged in, particularly simple manufacture and repair is achieved, as a result of which further costs can be saved during assembly.
The measures listed in the subclaims result in advantageous developments and improvements of the features specified in the main claim.
It is particularly advantageous if the element is arranged such that when a force is exerted in the axial direction on the first end of the wiper shaft, it is deformable, in particular compressible. In this way, the energy is particularly well absorbed on impact.
In a particularly simple and inexpensive embodiment, the element is arranged between the bearing housing and an extension on the wiper shaft.
It is particularly advantageous here if the extension is disc-shaped and includes the wiper shaft, so that the energy can be emitted from the wiper shaft over a very large area of the element.
In a simple embodiment variant, the attachment is formed in one piece with the wiper shaft.
It is particularly cost-effective if the element is designed as an S-start / bending rope or from wound wire.
Particularly little installation space is required when the element essentially nestles around the wiper shaft.
It is also to be regarded as advantageous if the element is locked on the bearing housing in particular by internal stress. This eliminates the need for additional fasteners.
The element is designed to be corrosion-protected, so the life of the windshield wiper device is significantly increased. It is also particularly advantageous if the bearing housing has securing means which protect the element against twisting.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment
In Figure 1, a windshield wiper device 10 according to the invention is shown in a perspective view. This essentially comprises a carrier tube 12, which carries a wiper bearing 14 at the ends of its longitudinal extent. Furthermore, a motor mount 16 is attached to the support tube 12, which carries a wiper motor 18. This wiper motor 18 drives 20 wiper shafts 22 via push rods which are mounted in the bearing housings 24 of the wiper bearings 14.
A wiper bearing of a windshield wiper device 10 according to the invention is shown in detail in a schematic cross section in FIG.
The wiper shaft 22 is mounted in the bearing housing 24 of the wiper bearing 14. It has a first end 26 at which it has a wiper arm 28, which is only partially drawn here is rotatably connected. At the other end 30 of its longitudinal extent, the wiper shaft 22 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a drive crank 32, which in turn is articulated to the push rod 20 (FIG. 1). The wiper shaft 22 also has a shoulder 34 which is designed as a disk and is axially fixed on the wiper shaft 22. The extension 34 can be formed in one piece with the wiper shaft 22 or, for example, can also be designed as an attached disc which is axially fixed at least in the direction of the wiper arm 28 by means of a snap ring 35. In a variation, it is also conceivable that the extension 34 consists of an at least partially circular ring-shaped recess into which a snap ring is inserted.
The wiper shaft 22 protrudes from the end face 36 of the bearing housing 24 and has a thread at its first end 26, which is screwed on the fastening element 38 designed as a screw nut for fastening the wiper arm 28. Depending on the design of the wiper arm 28, an additional fastening stub 40 is arranged between the fastening element 38 and the wiper arm 28.
An element 42 is arranged between the end face 36 of the bearing housing 24 and the extension 34 of the wiper shaft 22. This element 42 can be attached radially laterally to the wiper shaft 22 and is made of stamped and bent sheet metal.
The wiper bearing 14 carries with its bearing housing 24 the wiper shaft 22 which can be connected at its first end 26 to a wiper arm (not shown). At its other end 30, the wiper shaft is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the drive crank 32, so that it can itself be set in motion by the movement of the wiper motor 18. The wiper bearing 14 has a collar 43 which extends in a ring around the wiper shaft 22 and serves to receive the element 42. In order to prevent the element 42 from rotating about the axis of rotation of the wiper shaft 22, the collar 43 has two ribs 45 as securing means, which are arranged in such a way that the radial play of the element 42, which here is shown explosively next to the wiper bearing 14 , inhibit or limit.
In the area of its first end 26, the wiper shaft 22 has the shoulder 34, which is supported on the element 42 in the mounted position. The collar 43 is chosen so high that it corresponds to the height of a compressed element 42. This results in on the one hand an optimal mounting of the wiper shaft 22 and on the other hand a maximum utilization of the damping path of the element 42. Of course the collar 43 can also have another suitable height, it should only be less than the height of the element 42. In a variation of the invention the drive crank can 32 also form the extension 34 itself, in which the drive crank 32 is arranged in the region of the first end 26 of the wiper shaft. In a further variation, the element can also be formed in one piece with the collar 43, or with the wiper bearing 14 or with the drive crank 32.
In Figur 4 ist das Trägerrohr 12 mit einem Wischerlager 14 einer erfindungsgemäßen Scheibenwischvorrichtung 10 gemeinsam mit dem Element 42 komplett montiert dargestellt.FIG. 4 shows the carrier tube 12 with a wiper bearing 14 of a windshield wiper device 10 according to the invention, together with the element 42, completely assembled.
The element 42 has been slipped onto the collar 43 of the wiper bearing 14 and fixed radially by the ribs 45. The element 42 thus grips around the collar 43 like a clamp. The element 42 is axially fixed, on the one hand by the shoulder 34 of the wiper shaft 22, and on the other hand by the support 47 on the bearing housing 24 of the wiper bearing 14 itself. The support 47 is typically formed by fastening elements of the wiper bearing 14 , or is integrally formed with this.
Figures 5 a, 5b and 6a, 6b show different configurations of an element 42 of a windshield wiper device 10 according to the invention. For reasons of simplicity, the element 42 in these figures is not yet bent like a clamp, but is still shown in a flat, flat shape, as is typically found within the Manufacturing process can exist. Figure 5a shows a simple element 42 which is bent from a stable wire. By alternately bending back and forth at certain intervals of the wire, a meandering structure with a spring-like character results with the height h1 of the element 42. FIG. 5b shows the element from FIG. 5a in a compressed position. The individual areas now nestle directly against one another, so that the element has a height h2, which is typically less than the height hl. This height h2 is typically also the height that the collar 43 from FIG. 3 has. Of course, such a shape can also be achieved by stamping. FIG. 6a shows a variation of the element 42 from FIG. 5. The element 42 shown here is punched out of sheet metal and / or perforated, so that closed hollow areas 51 are formed. In FIG. 6b the element 42 from FIG. 6a is shown compressed. As already mentioned at the beginning of the last paragraph, the elements 42 shown in FIGS. 5a, 5b and 6a, 6b are bent in a cylinder-like manner around an axis lying in their direction of deformation, such that a slot or an opening still remains, with which the element 42 can be plugged onto the collar 43 of the bearing housing 24. In this sense, the elements 42 are not completely rotationally symmetrical. After being placed on the collar 43, the element 42 latches on the wiper bearing due to its inherent tension, similar to a snap ring. After deformation, the element 42 can also be very easily removed from the wiper bearing 14 in this way and replaced by a new element without the windshield wiper device 10 having to be dismantled. Optimal energy absorption of the element 42 is achieved by making full use of the space between the contact surface 47 and the extension 34. The elements 42 shown in FIGS. 6a, 6b can be produced very easily by punching from a sheet metal strip, which can also be bent thereafter. In this way, a defined stiffness can also be set in a simple manner. In a variation, the element 42 must of course not only be cylindrical, but also be elliptically or otherwise suitably curved. Such elements 42 can be manufactured most easily on step presses or in progressive dies. The element 42 is preferably made of steel materials with a corrosion protection, for example a hot-dip galvanizing, but can also be made of zinc or aluminum sheet, plastic or ceramic. If the element 42 is wound from a wire, the final geometry, that is to say the cylinder geometry, can also be produced immediately in one production step.
