Definitions
- the present invention relates to a hearing aid with a recording device for receiving an input signal, a detection device for detecting a hearing aid value, a signal generating means for generating a Device signal depending on the hearing aid value and a Output device for outputting an output signal on the Basis of the input signal and the device signal.
- the present invention relates to a corresponding Method for operating a hearing aid.
- the output signal is a so-called device signal, i. to get a signal from the hearing aid self-generated.
- a device signal produced as a whistling sound.
- Loud ambient noise hinders the perception of device signals, which are very much for the hearing aid wearer are important. So the device signals, for example obscured by street noise. This problem can be addressed be that the level of the device signal is increased. In any case, this reduces the frequency of occlusion the device signals due to loud ambient noise. A disadvantage of the level increase is that the device signals especially in very quiet environment than pronounced be distracting and unpleasant.
- the publication DE 100 40 660 A1 discloses a hearing aid audio sound reproduction combination known. It can be externally generated Audio sound signals and artificially generated information or receive warning signals from a hearing aid receiving unit become. The received signals can be in the hearing aid superimposed, compressed and mutually frequency response and volume-controllable mixed together.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to to improve the perceptibility of device signals in hearing aids.
- a hearing aid with a recording device for receiving an input signal, a detection device for detecting a hearing aid value, a signal generating means for generating a Device signal depending on the hearing aid value and a Output device for outputting an output signal on the Basis of the input signal and the device signal as well as a Matching device connected to the output device is to adjust the device signal to the input signal and / or for adjusting the input signal to the device signal.
- the invention provides a method for operating a hearing aid by picking up an input signal, Detecting a hearing aid value, generating a device signal depending on the hearing aid value and outputting a Output signal based on the input signal and of the device signal and by adjusting the device signal the input signal and / or to adjust the input signal to the device signal.
- the main advantage of the present invention is thus, that the instantaneous ambient noise in the automatic or adaptive adaptation of the device signal considered becomes.
- the adaptation of the Hearing aid input signal to the device signal is the same advantage.
- a concealment can be beneficial by adapting both signals to each other successfully be prevented. This causes the device signals On the one hand are always perceptible and on the other never uncomfortable or too loud.
- the automatic adjustment also contributes to increase the ease of use and satisfaction of the hearing aid wearer.
- the hearing aid value sets a set value, a State value, setting change information or a state change information.
- This is a device signal generated in the hearing aid, for example, if a particular Listening program reset or the battery of the hearing aid has reached a low state of charge.
- the type of device signal may vary depending on the hearing aid value be generated. For example, the frequency, Volume or melody of a battery condition signal automatically be changed with the state of charge of the battery.
- the Duration, the level and / or the type of device signal can over it Be adapted to the input signal. To this Way, for example, a muting of the input signal with a loud input signal a comparatively longer time before delivery of the device signal, while with a quiet input signal whose mute shorter Time before device signal delivery can take place. That's it possible to largely prevent masking effects.
- the level of the input signal be adapted to the device signal.
- masking effects can also be prevented or reduce.
- a special form of this would be the complete one Suppressing the input signal when outputting the device signal. In this way it can be ensured that the device signal is perceived.
- a very preferred variant is also that the Device signal is adapted in time to the input signal.
- the device signal could only then be output when the input signal is below a predetermined level lies. This proves especially with state information, which are not very time critical, e.g. the battery state of charge, as advantageous.
- FIG. 1 The block diagram reproduced in FIG. 1 represents a hearing aid according to a first embodiment, with which an input signal can be muted, thus a device signal can be perceived by the hearing aid wearer.
- a microphone 1 For this the input signal of a microphone 1 is a switch 2 supplied before there is another hearing aid signal processing 3 is supplied.
- a device signal is using a Generators 4 generated. This is controlled by a control logic. 5 triggered to generate a signal. At the same time controls the control logic 5 to the switch 2, so that the device signal from the generator 4 instead of the input signal to the other Hearing aid signal processing 3 can be sent.
- the control signal in the control logic 5 can manually via a Control element 6 are triggered.
- An intervening one User interface 7 generates a corresponding drive signal for the control logic 5.
- the control may be for example, a program change switch, a remote control or a volume control wheel.
- This drive signal can u.a. be used to the compression, the noise canceling and other adaptive algorithms of signal processing to "freeze" during a device signal delivery and after the device signal output, the signal processing continue with the same settings.
- the control logic 5 has for this purpose a timer to the Duration of switching off the input signal but also the device signal duration set. From the control logic 5 is respectively a control signal to the generator 4 and the switch 2 sent.
- triggering a device signal can be such a longer mute of the device compared to the device duration Achieve input signal, so that masking effects mostly can be turned off.
- the mute is done before and during the output of the device signal.
- the level of the device signal automatically set to at least one certain level above the level of the current input signal lies.
- the switch 2 of FIG 1 by an adder 9 replaced.
- the level of the device signal from the generator 4 is variable between them and the adders 9, a gain adjuster 10 is switched.
- the level the device signal via the control logic 5 based on the level of the input signal.
- Control line (dashed arrow in FIG 2) of the control logic 5 be provided to the adder 9 to the addition of the to turn on or off both signals.
- the device signal generator during the Normal operation of the hearing aid off or program change not acoustically identifiable with a device signal if the hearing aid wearer does not want this. on the other hand could with the controlled adder also the input signal muted as in the first embodiment become.
- An even more comfortable solution for the safe perception of a Device signal represents the third embodiment, whose Block diagram is sketched in FIG 3. It is based on the second embodiment and is a second gain adjuster or regulator 11 supplements that between the microphone 1 and the adder 9 is connected. He receives as a manipulated variable the level of the input signal from the level meter 8. Above In addition, it is driven by the control logic 5 to For example, the reinforcement in time before the issue of To turn off the device signal. Thus, it is possible at Outputting the device signal with a desired level Level of the input signal below the level of the device signal to regulate and keep constant.
- a fourth embodiment of the present invention is disclosed in 4 shows.
- This embodiment is in essence similar to the first embodiment, but here is the input signal not muted, but in its level controlled under the device signal. The input signal is then continue audible.
- this corresponds Embodiment of a simplified third embodiment there on the gain plate 10 between generator 4 and Adder 9 was omitted and the gain controller 11 is realized as a simple gain plate 12, which receives no feedback signal from the level meter 8. With the gain adjuster 12 can in this way the level of the Input signal via the control logic 5 up or down to be controlled.
- a device signal is output only when the Input signal a certain level for a given Time falls short.
- This embodiment is in the figures not shown. It has a pause search algorithm, with a period of time with a low level of ambient noise can be determined. In this period can then transmit a pending device signal become. Thus, the transmission of the input signal to Transmission of the device signal is not disruptive interrupted or steamed. This type of notification of the hearing aid wearer would for less time-critical status information, such as the battery state of charge suffice.
- FIG. 5 illustrates the hearing aid signal processing 3 upstream of the device signal supply. Accordingly the input signal goes directly into the hearing aid signal processing 3 fed, the output signal then in the Device signal feed is forwarded.
- the device signal input which corresponds to embodiment 4 (FIG. 4) becomes the output signal the hearing aid signal processing 3 accordingly the gain plate 12 and the level meter 8 fed. Further processing is analogous.
- FIG. 5 can also be used to supply the device signal
- the device signal inputs according to the Embodiments 1 to 3 are used.
- FIGS 2 to 5 The components shown in FIGS 2 to 5, in the related description are not mentioned, are related explained in more detail with FIG. With regard to the interconnection and function of these components is therefore on each the description part of FIG 1 referenced.
