  • the belt 22, that is continuously driven slips through under the folding crate 1.
  • the next flight 12 is turned in into the path A, in order with stop plate 42 to optionally abut the trailing wall 3 of the folding crate.
  • the folding crate 1 then is as it were kept confined during the further process, wherein the conveyor belt 22 remains slipping through under the crate 1.
  • the folding crate 1 then arrives at the "second" folder 40 of the figures 4A, B.
  • Said folder 40 comprises two elongated blades 40a, b which for rotation are fixedly attached to cross axle 30.
  • the blades 40a,b are rotated in the direction B into the path of the folding crate 1, they slap against the outer surface of the trailing wall 3 of the folding crate 1.

  • the plate 51 is connected to a fixed point 54 on the frame 20 by means of a spring 53.
  • the profile 40 particularly the rear side of the plate 42, will abut the bent edge 52, as a result of which the plate 51 is rotated along in the direction C, to the inclined position shown.
  • a tensile force is built up here in the spring 53.
  • the edge 52 is able to move over the plate 40/42, as a result of which spring forces are released and the plate 51 moves to the vertical position, slapping against the leading wall 3.
  • the plate 51 can move along, hinging about hinge 56.

  • the lever 62 is rotated in the direction D so that the finger 63 with bevelled surface 66 runs into the as yet upright side walls 2 and lets them fold down.
  • the fingers 65 are only activated by a central operation unit that is not further shown, when the "first" folder 50 has not been able to be operative because the crate 1 in question was not properly unlocked.
  • the crate 1 arrives at the end of the device 10, where there is a photocell 80, with which the central operation unit is able to verify whether or not the crate 1 in question has been folded up.
