  • leg garment includes in addition to stockings in particular socks and any other type of hosiery.
  • Socks with padding in the region of the tibia of a wearer of the sock are known from the prior art.
  • the US-A-4,373,361 discloses a leg garment having the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a leg garment that protects the leg of the wearer of the leg garment, especially in the region of the tibia, particularly well against pressure and shock loads.
  • the solution according to the invention takes into account the fact that the tibia of the wearer of the leggings is asymmetrically designed and arranged with respect to the longitudinal median plane of the lower leg.

  • the incorporation of the reinforcing thread into the basic knit of the stocking 100 can, for example, take place so that the reinforcing thread forms plush loops.
  • the reinforcing thread is entangled in a binding which forms air chambers in the region of the calf padding 196, which air chambers have a particularly high heat-insulating effect due to the air enclosed therein.
  • the incorporation of the reinforcing material is preferably carried out such that the air chambers on the "left" side of the goods, that is, on the interior of the stocking 100 side facing formed.
  • the reinforcing thread can be integrated so that it forms Pikee structures.
  • the calf padding 196 comprises a reinforcing thread which contains an elastic material, for example spandex.
  • an elastic reinforcing material pressure can be exerted on the calf of the wearer of the stocking 100, whereby the musculature of the wearer in the area of the calf is better perfused. Also, such a better circulation of the calf muscles helps to warm the muscles in the calf area.
