Zwar wird bei dieser Vorrichtung bei unterschiedlichen Dicken der Druckplatte die Sprungfeder unterschiedlich stark eingedrückt, was zu einer entsprechend geänderten Federkraft und damit einer geänderten Klemmkraft für die Druckplatte führt. Jedoch ist diese Klemmkraft zum einen schwach, weil die Sprungfeder nur kleine Federkräfte bewirken kann, wodurch Druckplatten mit einer allzu großen Dicke in dieser Klemmvorrichtung nicht gehalten werden können. Zum anderen muss während dem Einsetzen der Druckplatte zwischen die Klemmleisten dafür gesorgt sein, dass die Spindel dauerhaft gegen die Federkraft wirkt.
