Description

  • The invention relates to an impact absorber on traffic routes with in series successively arranged damping elements which are held by at least one common holding device and which are arranged displaceably on at least one movement element, which has a fastening arrangement for fixing to a damping element.
  • A generic impact absorber is from the DE 195 25 243 known. In this impact damper two rows of damping elements are arranged parallel to each other. The damping elements are connected substantially rigidly together and stand on rollers. The common holding device is formed in this generic crash cushion of a cable construction, which is set with a ground anchor in the head region of the impact absorber.   • The invention has for its object to improve a crash cushion of the type mentioned so that it, without changing its damping property, has a good conductivity when it is hit by the side of approaching vehicles.
  • The object is achieved in that the common holding device is arranged at a height above the ground, which is less than the average clear height of the ground clearance of a car.
  • This design can ensure that the damper assembly does not evade when a vehicle drives laterally into the structure, while still ensuring that the other damper properties remain unchanged.
  • Advantageously, an opening for the guidance of the at least one holding device is provided in the at least one movement element, wherein the opening is an integral part of the fastening arrangement. It is particularly advantageous that the fastening arrangement comprises a fastening plate, in which the opening is designed to guide the common holding device. Characterized in that the guide is formed for the holding device in the mounting arrangement, conventional damping elements can be used without additional work on the damping elements would have to be performed. In a particular embodiment, it may be provided that the holding device is a continuous rod.   • It is advantageous that in the head region of the crash cushion, the damping elements have a height distance from the ground, which is equal to or slightly higher than the maximum height of the front ground anchor.

  • Fig. 1 shows a crash cushion 1 in a schematic representation in side view. The impact attenuator 1 is constructed as a protection device against objects located laterally next to traffic routes in order to dampen the impact of a vehicle approaching the object and thus to keep damage away from the occupants of the vehicle, while at the same time protecting the object.
  • Depending on the situation on the traffic route, the impact absorber consists of damping elements 2 arranged in series one behind the other, wherein a plurality of such rows may be provided parallel to one another, but it is also possible to choose a V-shaped arrangement of the damping elements with different opening angles. The damping elements 2 are held by at least one common holding device 3 so that they do not dodge in the event of an impact, which does not take place exactly in the direction of the axis of symmetry, or the entire construction does not overturn at an oblique start of an accident vehicle or the vehicle then hooked. The impact damper construction stands on at least one movement element 4, which is fastened to a damping element 2 by means of a fastening arrangement 6. The movement element 4 allows the displacement of the damping elements during an impact substantially in any direction.
  • The common holding device 3 is arranged at a predetermined height above the ground. The height 12 is smaller in terms of their design than the average clear height of the ground clearance of a car. The movement element 4 has an opening 5 for the guidance of the holding device 3. The guide is provided by a taut steel cable 3 ', which is fixed to a ground anchor 13. The ground anchor 13 is arranged in the front region 14 of the crash cushion. The other end of the steel cable 3 'is fixed at the end of the impact damper structure 1 to an abutment 19, which also serves as an impact block of the construction.   • The movement element 4 is equipped with a sliding foot 7 in the illustrated embodiment. In one embodiment, not shown, the moving element may also have a roller, a roller or a wheel. In the direction of impact, the Gleitfuß front has a bend 8, whereby the movement is facilitated. Claims (13)

  1. Impact damper (1) for roadways, comprising damping elements (2) arranged in a row one after another which are held by at least one common holding device (3) and which are movably arranged on at least one moving element (4) which has a fixing arrangement (6) for fixing to a damping element (2), characterized in that the common holding device (3) is arranged at a height (12) above ground which is less than the average clearance height of the ground clearance of a passenger car.
  2. Impact damper according to claim 1, characterized in that the at least one moving element (4) comprises at least one opening (5) for guiding the at least one common holding device (3).
  3. Impact damper according to claim 2, characterized in that the opening (5) is an integrated part of the fixing arrangement (6).
