Definitions
- the invention relates to an injection valve, in particular its injector tip, which projects into the direct injection into a combustion chamber in this.
- an injection valve in particular its injector tip, which projects into the direct injection into a combustion chamber in this.
- burn residues deposit on the injector tip.
- Deposits which are reflected in particular in the vicinity of the fuel discharge gap, influence the geometry of the exiting cone beam, in particular the shape of the cone angle and the strandness of the beam.
- beam-guided combustion methods are based on the accurate reproducibility of the injection operations in close tolerance ranges throughout the life of the engine, so that the formation of deposits must be avoided.
- the effect of this design is to prevent the accumulation and settling of combustion residues in the area of the nozzle outlet.
- a common planar surface is formed on the housing end face of the injection nozzle with the closure body in the closed state of the injection nozzle, so that in particular with a conical surface the combustion chamber facing surface of the injection nozzle and the closure body should remain free of combustion residues.
- the avoidance of precipitates of combustion residues on the surface of the injector tip can not be optimized with a merely planar surface.
- the invention has for its object to describe an injection valve at the top of the fluid outlet precipitation of combustion residues are avoided.
- the invention is based on the finding that in order to avoid lumps of combustion residues in the region of the dividing line between a valve disk and the valve seat of a valve housing, ie in the region of the fluid outlet or the formation of the fluid injection jet, there is a common smooth surface which is free of steps and edges is curved at the same time. Curvature in this case is an outward curvature, which is equivalent to a workpiece radius that is less than infinity.
- the invention additionally uses the radius of curvature of the surface in the region of the parting line as an optimization parameter.
- a curved surface which may for example have the shape of a spherical cap
- the targeted adjustment of the radius of curvature has a lasting effect on the gas flow in the vicinity of the fuel outlet, which in turn has a positive effect on the jet stability with an open injector during the injection cycle.
- the precipitation tendency of combustion residues is avoided with the injector closed during the combustion and exhaust stroke.
- a further advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the exiting cone beam, the tangent to the combustion chamber facing surface of the valve body and valve disc in axial section seen perpendicular or nearly vertical, preferably at an angle of about 90 ° ⁇ 20 ° cuts.
- the figure shows an axial section through the combustion chamber facing the axisymmetric injector tip. It consists of a valve housing 1 with its combustion chamber facing surface 5. Through a space 9 within the injector pressurized fuel is supplied, which is present via an outlet channel 3 in connection to the space 9 at the foremost end of the injector.
- the valve shown here consists of a valve seat on the valve housing 1 corresponding to the inner surface 7 of the valve housing 1 and the cooperating inner surface 8 of the valve disk 4 and generates a cone beam when opening. This should be as evenly as possible and not by combustion residues, which have attached to the outer surface of the injector, torn.
- the valve needle 2 is formed or connected at its lower end fixed to the valve plate 4.
- the valve disk 4 has the combustion chamber facing surface 6 and the space 9 facing inner surface 8.
- the combustion chamber facing surfaces 5, 6 of valve body 1 and valve plate 4 a common smooth surface without steps and without edges. These considerations are made in each case based on the circumferential parting line 10 between the valve body 1 and the valve disk 4, as at this point combustion residues that could affect the cone beam to be permanently avoided.
- the surfaces 5, 6 together form a curved surface.
- a curved surface as shown in the figure, for example a spherical cap, one thus additionally obtains optimization parameters with regard to the jet stability and the avoidance of precipitation of combustion residues at this location.
- the radius of curvature has a sustained positive influence on the gas flow in the vicinity of the fuel outlet and thus on the jet stability with the injector open during the injection cycle. The same applies to the precipitation tendency of combustion residues with the injector closed during the combustion or exhaust stroke.
- valve body 1 and valve plate 4 are not limited to spherical caps, but there are all easy to manufacture surface shapes in question, such as. Paraboloids, ellipsoids, hyperboloids, if they can favorably influence the jet stability and coking tendency.
- a frustoconical design can be provided as an end termination on the valve tip.
- the inner surface 7 of the valve body 1 forms, together with the inner surface 8 of the valve disk 4, the outlet channel 3 for the fuel.
- the outlet channel 3 of the fuel must be designed so that the flow-through cross section in the flow direction, ie from the inside to the outside, is constant or decreasing. Thus cavitation in the fuel is safely avoided and the sealing surface or sealing line, which is located at the outer edge of the outlet channel 3, is not damaged.
- the inner surfaces 7, 8 of valve body 1 and valve disk 4 meet in the flow direction at a shallow angle, ie either almost parallel or in tangential form with the injector closed.
- the tangent direction in the figure the course of the surface 8, determines the cone beam angle ⁇ .
