Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical terminal in cutting-connection technology, in particular for latching onto a mounting rail, with a housing, with Terminals for insulated conductors, with at least one busbar, with at least two actuators and at least two cutting elements, wherein the actuating elements relative to the cutting elements in the electrical terminal are rotatably mounted and one for the connected Head have provided conductor receiving and the Cutting elements the electrical contact of a plugged into the conductor receiving Make the conductor with the busbar.
- terminals have been in use for decades are known and millions of times in the wiring of electrical systems and devices used.
- the terminals are usually snapped onto mounting rails, which in turn often arranged in a plurality in a cabinet are.
- the terminals are usually designed as connection terminals, so that they have at least two conductor connection elements, the over an electrically conductive connecting rail, the busbar, electrically interconnected are connected.
- connection terminals so that they have at least two conductor connection elements, the over an electrically conductive connecting rail, the busbar, electrically interconnected are connected.
- this basic type of terminal blocks there are
- a variety of different types of terminal block the specially adapted to the particular application. As an example here double-deck or three-bar terminals as well as three-wire or four-wire terminals called, each then a correspondingly larger number of Have conductor connection elements.
- Both the screw and the tension spring clamp must electrical conductors after cutting first stripped before the Contacting the electrical conductor can be done.
- stripping of the electrical conductor special tools are required and there the stripping Relatively much time is required for many years electrical terminals used to the electrical conductors without prior Stripping can be connected.
- the insulated conductor in inserted a conductor receptacle in the housing of the terminal and then in pressed a cutting element, whereby the insulation of the conductor is severed and the core of the conductor is contacted by the cutting element.
- design options for such terminals for Connection of non-stripped conductors These differ in particular thereby, as the introduced into the conductor receiving conductor in the cutting element is pressed.
- An electrical terminal described in the cutting connection technology is known for example from DE 199 21 775 A1.
- Connecting terminal support the actuators by means of relatively large, Rady guides in a housing formed by the side wall Drehlagerung from.
- the width of the electrical terminal is relatively small to get voted.
- the wheel-like guidance of the actuators in the side wall has the disadvantage that due to the large, wheel-like guides Also, the height of the electrical terminal is relatively large. Furthermore It may be due to the large, wheel-like guides u. U. to problems with the Compliance with the required creepage distances and thus insulation problems especially at higher currents.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object, an entrance described electrical terminal in cutting connection technology available to provide, with a simple construction as possible, a good and safe Handling guaranteed and beyond, if possible, a small Has size.
- Design of the electrical terminal according to the invention takes place Supporting or guiding the actuating element thus both in the side wall as well as inside the case. This is a particularly safe Guidance of the actuator ensures, so that high Bescharis member when contacting conductors with a relatively large cross-section be mastered.
- the previously described rib inside the housing is formed and arranged so that the rib at the same time acts as a strain relief for an inserted conductor. This is achieved by that in the second position (contact position) of the actuating element an inserted into the conductor receiving conductor clamped by the rib or is fixed. By appropriate dimensioning of the rib can thereby be ensured that in the clamping of the conductor, only the insulation of the leader and not his soul is pressed. By such Clamping of the connected electrical conductor becomes an "immobilization" the contact point of the electrical conductor or the soul with the Cutting element guaranteed. As a result, the occurring in practice Problem counteracted that it is due to tensile stresses on the electrical conductors to a slight relative movement between the electrical Head and the cutting element comes, resulting in oxidation and a high contact resistance can lead.
- the desired small size of the electrical terminal is first - in terms of height - by the formation of relatively small pin instead the relatively large, wheel-like guides in the DE 199 21 775 A1 known terminal reached.
- the width of the invention Clamp can be reduced by the fact that in the most preferred double guidance of the actuators both through the pins and the oblong holes as well as through the ribs in conjunction with the Recesses, the wall thickness of the side wall are chosen very low can.
- the width can be further reduced thereby, that the conductor receiving, which is preferably designed as a slot, a having open longitudinal side. This allows the width of the actuator - And thus the overall width of the electrical terminal - are reduced, without reducing the maximum cross section of the conductors to be connected.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 electrical terminal 1 is initially from a housing 2, wherein in the figures a connecting terminal for two conductors to be connected is shown. It goes without saying that the inventive electrical terminal as a three-wire or four-wire connection terminal can be trained.
- the housing 2 of the electric Terminal 1 is a busbar 3 and two actuators 4th arranged.
- the electrical terminals 1 each have two Cutting elements 5, each electrically conductive by the busbar 3 connected to each other.
- the actuators 4, each having a conductor receiving 6 for - here not shown - have to be connected conductors are relative to the Cutting elements 5 rotatably in the housing 2 of the electrical terminal. 1 arranged so that the actuating elements 4 from a first position in the the insertion of an incoming conductor in the conductor receptacle 6 possible is (insertion position), in a second position, in which the ladder through the Cutting elements 5 are contacted (contact position) to be pivoted can.
- insertion position in the insertion position
- contact position in which the ladder through the Cutting elements 5 are contacted
- the Fig. 1 can be seen that the two slots 11, 12th are arranged in the side wall 10 of the housing 2, that the longitudinal axes the two slots 11, 12 are approximately perpendicular to each other. As a result, a particularly good guidance of the actuating element 4 in the housing 2 of the electrical terminal 1 guaranteed.
- the guide or storage of the actuating element 4 in the housing 2 is thereby further improved that in the actuating element 4 a recess 13 formed and inside the housing 2 a corresponding Ridge 14 is arranged, wherein the rib 14 during pivoting of the actuating element from the insertion position - left side of the illustrated in Fig. 1 electrical terminal 1 - in the contact position - right side of the in Fig. 2nd illustrated electrical terminal 1 - engages in the recess 13.
- both the recess 13 as Also, the rib 14 are circular arc-shaped, so that the pivoting movement of the actuating element 4 by the interaction of recess 13 and rib 14 is not affected.
- the previously described rib 14 serves - in interaction with the recess 13 - not only to guide the actuator 4, but at the same time as a strain relief for a plugged into the conductor receptacle 6 Ladder. This is achieved in that the front edge of the rib 14 in the Contact position of the actuator 4 slightly into the conductor receiving 6 protrudes, whereby a connected conductor is clamped. Through this Clamping a connected conductor will "immobilize" the Contact point between the cutting element 5 and the connected Head reached. As can be seen in particular in FIG. 1, the Ridges 14 disposed in the housing 2 just above the cutting elements 5. Thus, the desired strain relief as close to the contact point realized the inserted conductor with the cutting element 5.
- ribs 17 formed, which together with the upper edge of the housing 2 a form two-stage locking. This allows the actuator 4 both be fixed in the insertion position as well as in the contact position, so that on the one hand there is the possibility of the electrical terminal 1 during delivery to fix customers in the insertion position, on the other an unwanted Swiveling back the actuating element 4 from the contact position in the insertion after contacting a conductor to be connected is prevented.
- the Fig. 3 is also removed that the conductor receiving 6 as a slot is formed and ends in a receiving pocket 18, wherein the receiving pocket 18 in the assembled state of the actuating element 4 in the electrical terminal 1 is disposed below the cutting element 5.
- the Receiving pocket 18 serves as a stop help for the fitter during insertion of a conductor in the conductor holder 6. Is the end of the conductor up in introduced the receiving pocket 18, so it is ensured that when pivoting of the actuating element 4 in the contact position of the conductor of the Cutting element 5 properly detected and thus the soul of the conductor is contacted electrically.
- the Ladder receptacle 6 an open longitudinal side, whereby the width of the actuating element 4, with unchanged maximum cross-section of a to be connected Conductor, can be reduced.
- the leadership of the to be connected Ladder is then on this side through the side wall 10 of the housing 2 realized.
- the tool may be, for example act around the tip of a screwdriver, which is in the receptacle 19 is inserted, so that then with the help of the screwdriver Actuator 4 from the first position to the second position, or vice versa, can be spent.
- the actuators 4 can easily from the top of the corresponding Opening can be used in the housing 2, which basically also in closed housing 2 is possible, so that the side wall 10 of the housing for mounting the actuators 4 does not have to be removed
- the actuating elements 4 are formed and arranged in the housing 2 are that a visual differentiation of the insertion position of the contact position is simply possible.
- the actuator shown on the left in Fig. 2 4 which is in the insertion position, is the upper edge 20 of the actuating element 4 clearly above the upper edge of the housing. 2 above.
- the actuating element shown on the right in FIG 4 which is locked in the contact position, the upper edge 20th of the actuating element 4 flush with the upper edge of the housing 2.
- the fitter can also visually the respective position of the actuating element 4 easy to recognize.
