Abstract

One disadvantage during delivery of products such as foams, for instance shaving foam or gel, self-foaming products and other products that are applied with a pressurized system from a conventional, pressurized dispenser container with the aid of known dispenser heads that can be inserted into the delivery valve of the dispenser container is that the pressurized product remaining in the delivery channel continues to be pressed out in small amounts in an uncontrolled manner after utilization despite the fact that the delivery valve is closed. In order to eliminate said disadvantage, the dispenser head (1) is configured with an additional closing device (1') that automatically opens the delivery hole (3) and automatically closes it after the dispensing process is completed.

Description

The invention relates to a dispensing head with a discharge channel for discharging products such as foams, such as shaving cream or gel, self-foaming products and other applicable with a pressurized system products, from a pressurized conventional dispensing container, which is attachable to the discharge valve of the dispenser container and by an external mechanical pressure exerted thereon and a tilting movement of its upper part about a pivot point open the dispensing valve of the dispensing container so that the product flows in from the dispensing valve into the dispensing channel with overpressure and exits the dispenser head through its dispensing opening.

A disadvantage of such known dispensers or dispenser heads that emerges after the application and successful recovery of the tilted upper part despite already closed discharge valve in the discharge still under pressure product in a small amount from the discharge of the dispenser head. This unwanted and uncontrolled repressing of the product then contaminates the dispenser head and, if present, the protective cap.

In order to prevent this unwanted and uncontrolled repressing of the product by a secure closure of the dispensing head, the US Pat. No. 5,309,530 proposes a dispensing head with an additional closure device, which is placed on the valve of a conventional dispensing container and which consists of three construction elements. In this case, an upper and a lower valve housing part form the discharge channel, whose discharge opening is pin-shaped from the inside through a discharge channel arranged in the discharge channel formed elastic valve body with valve head is closed and opened. The valve head opposite end of the valve body is angled upwards and ends in a button above a Tastmulde the upper valve body part. The lower valve housing part is pushed onto the dispenser container, wherein a corresponding recess of the dispenser container is attached to the valve of the dispenser container.

When dispensing process is pressed in a first step by manual pressure on the button this down into the stylus and this elastically deformed, wherein the angled part of the valve body is moved into the lower valve body part. In this displacement, the non-angled shaft of the valve body is guided over an arcuate portion of the lower valve housing part and thereby pulled away with its valve head from the discharge opening. In a second step, by further manual pressure on the button and thus also on the Tastmulde the lower valve body part down as far down to the dispenser container, that opens the valve of the dispenser container.

Upon completion of the dispensing operation by eliminating the manual pressure first returns the lower valve body part due to the spring tension of the valve of the dispenser container back to its original starting position, whereby the valve of the dispenser container closes again. Subsequently, the non-angled shaft of the valve body is again returned by elastic resilience of the elastically deformed Tastmulde on the arcuate portion of the lower valve body part, wherein the valve head is moved towards the discharge and closes it.

A disadvantage of this known dispenser head is that at the end of the dispensing operation, the closure of the dispensing container valve and the closure the discharge opening takes place in two stages which follow one another in succession, so that the product located in the discharge channel and under overpressure can at least partially escape from the discharge opening.

Based on this prior art, it is an object of the invention to form a dispensing head for standing under an overpressure dispensing container with an additional closure device so that the described reprints the product is prevented after the application.

The object is achieved for a dispensing head of the type mentioned by the characterizing features of claim 1, characterized in that the restoring element is resiliently biased in the closed position and designed so that the opening and / or closing of the discharge takes place automatically and the automatic opening and / closing is supported by the over-pressurized product.

The inventive design of the dispenser head with its own closure for the discharge opening of the product after use is reliably prevented. The closure device of the dispenser head, which can be placed on any conventional aerosol valve, consists in particular of a valve housing, which forms part of the dispensing channel arranged in the top of the dispensing head, a pin-shaped valve body with a valve head for closing the dispensing opening and a return element.

In a first embodiment of the invention, the return element is formed from an elastic dome, in the semicircular rear wall, an inner sleeve is arranged, in which the valve head opposite end of the valve body is inserted. In the initial position, the elastic dome pulls the valve head of the valve body from the outside against the discharge opening of the discharge channel by its residual stress and closes it.

The position of the elastic Dome with respect to the usual pivot point for the tilting movement of the upper part of the dispenser head is chosen so that its elastic back wall guided in the tilting movement on a circular path against a stationary web of the lower part of the dispenser head and this deformed and by a certain amount in the direction is moved to the discharge opening.

The elasticity and existing before deformation residual stress of the elastic dome is so large by appropriate choice of material that after the provision of the upper part of the back wall of the dome returns to its original position and thus retracts the valve head of the valve body from the front to the discharge of the discharge channel. This process is supported by the excess pressure in the valve housing product, which against both the valve head and against the back wall of the dome suppressed. However, since the effective area of the rear wall according to the invention is greater than the effective area of the valve head, as a result of the overpressure of the product on the regression of the rear wall and thus affects the closure of the discharge.

In a second embodiment of the invention, the valve body whose valve head closes the discharge opening from the front, anchored latching in a valve body sleeve. The rear part of the valve body sleeve is made as a return element of an elastic double wall and fixedly connected to the upper part and / or the lower part of the dispenser head. In the same mode of action as in the elastic dome of the first embodiment, during the tilting movement of the dispenser head, this elastically formed rear part of the double wall is guided in a circular path against a stationary web of the lower part, thereby deformed and displaced with the valve body in the direction of the discharge opening. The valve head releases the previously closed discharge opening to the outside. After returning the tilted upper part, through which the rear part of the valve body sleeve comes free again from the fixed web, the restoring force of the elastic part of the valve body sleeve causes the valve body to be retracted into the starting position and the closure of the discharge opening again.

In a third embodiment of the invention, the rear part of the discharge opening closing from the inside valve body is double-walled and filled with the product to be discharged. The outer valve body wall is made of an elastic material and serves as a restoring element, for which purpose the front part of the elastic valve body wall is fixedly connected to the upper part and / or to the lower part of the dispensing head. In this connection, the elastic valve body wall is set in the initial position under tension so that the conical or round tip of the valve head is pulled from the inside against the correspondingly formed nozzle mouth of the discharge and sealingly seals it. During the donation process the product to be discharged flows with positive pressure into the double wall of the valve body. The pressure exerted on the inner rear wall of the double wall in this case is greater than the tensile stress in the elastic region of the valve body wall, so that the valve body is drawn inwards and the discharge opening is exposed to the inside. The tensile stress already present in the starting position is thereby increased while stretching the elastic region of the valve body wall. After completion of the dispensing operation, the voltage present in the elastic valve body wall extends to an automatic return of the valve body and a renewed closure of the discharge opening.

The elastic part of the valve body sleeve (second embodiment) or the valve body wall (third embodiment) is connected in a one-piece production by injection molding with the rest of the inelastic part of the valve body sleeve or the valve body wall in a special injection molding process (2-component injection molding). The residual stress of these elastic return elements by use of a corresponding elastic material, such as TPE (thermoplastic elastomers), chosen so large that it is sufficient to pull the valve body back to its original position after completion of the dispensing operation and provision of the tilted upper part and the Close the discharge opening again tightly with the valve head.

In a fourth embodiment, the valve body is formed in a similar manner as in the third embodiment with a double wall, which is filled with the product to be discharged. To lock the valve body is pressed in the initial position of the dispenser head, the double-walled rear part of the valve body against a projecting rib of a stationary web, and the valve head is sealingly against the discharge from the inside, the rear elastic region of the double wall is compressed. The bridge and its rib are arranged so that through the circular Tilting movement of the upper part during dispensing operation of the valve body is rotated out of the lock. After elimination of the lock of existing in the double wall pressure of the product, which acts only on the rear wall of the double wall, supported by the restoring force of the compressed elastic portion of the double wall, the valve body pulls inwards, whereby the valve head releases the discharge. When the upper part is rotated back into its starting position, the valve body is manually pushed back against the discharge opening by the projecting rib and this is thereby closed, with the elastic region of the double wall of the valve body being compressed again.

Dom 6 (siehe hierzu auch die Figuren 5 bis 8).FIG. 1 shows a vertical section of a dispensing head 1 with a closure device 1 'according to the invention in the starting position. It consists of a valve housing 4, which is at the same time part of the upper (horizontal in the drawing) discharge channel 2 and arranged at right angles to the container axis 15 is a pin-shaped valve body 5 with a valve head 7 and an elastic return element or Dom 6 (see also Figures 5 to 8).

The front part of the valve housing 4 (in the drawing on the left) terminates at a distance from the front edge 16 of the upper discharge channel 2 with the discharge opening 3 and the rear part of the valve housing 4 (in the drawing on the right) is formed by the turned-up elastic dome 6. The semicircular rear wall 12 of the mandrel 6 has inside a sleeve 8, in which the valve head 7 opposite tapered end 18 of the pin-shaped valve body 5 is inserted. The length of the pin-shaped valve body 5 is dimensioned so that in the starting position of the dispenser head 1 by the residual stress of the elastic mandrel 6 of the valve head 7 is pulled from the front against the discharge opening 3 and closes it.

The non-tiltable, with the dispenser container (the dispenser container is not shown) connected by attaching lower part 11 of the dispenser head 1 has laterally a web 9, which affects the semicircular rear wall 12 of the mandrel 6.

In Figure 2, the dispensing head 1 of FIG. 1 is shown in the dispensing position. The upper part 10 of the dispensing head 1 has been tilted by an external mechanical pressure on the button 17 of the dispensing head 1 about a pivot point (the pivot point is not shown), whereby the discharge valve, not shown, of the dispensing container was opened and the product in the discharge channel 2 and in the valve housing 4 flows. During this tilting movement of the dome 6 was guided on a circular path with its semicircular rear wall 12 against the fixed web 9 down towards the dispenser container, whereby the rear wall 12 was deformed and moved in the direction towards the discharge. By this displacement of the rear wall 12 and the inside of the rear wall 12 inserted into the sleeve 8 valve body 5 has been moved with its valve head 7 in the same direction, thereby releasing the discharge port 3. In this dispenser position, the product already contained in the valve housing 4 can emerge from the discharge opening 3.

Upon termination of the dispensing operation and elimination of the external mechanical pressure on the button 17, the closure device 1 'with the upper part 10 of the dispenser head 1 by the existing tension in the pivot point of the dispensing head 1 and the force of the still open discharge valve of the dispenser container is rotated back into the starting position, whereby also the discharge valve of the dispenser container closes again. Due to the provision of the upper part 10, the rear wall 12 of the elastic mandrel 6 is released again from the web 9 and its deformation is reduced by its residual stress and the overpressure of the product still in the valve housing 4. In order to is also in the same direction of the attached to the rear wall 12 valve body 5 pulled back into its original position and the valve head 7 firmly from the front to the discharge opening 3 and thereby closed.

Another advantage of the closure device 1 'according to the invention is that the contact pressure of the valve head 7 on the discharge opening 3 not only by the residual stress of the elastic dome 6, but in addition by the different sized, acted upon by the product with pressure effective surfaces 13, 14 of rear wall 12 and valve head 7 is effected. Since the effective area 14 of the rear wall 12 of the mandrel 6 is substantially larger than the effective area 13 of the valve head 7, a resultant force results, which acts only on the rear wall 12 with the result that the greater the overpressure, the higher the higher the force with which the valve head 7 is pulled against the discharge opening 3, and the higher the tightness of the system. The stated object of the invention to suppress repressions of the product after the end of the dispensing process is thus achieved.

In FIGS. 3 to 8, the essential construction parts of the dispenser head 1 according to the invention are again shown individually for a better overview. In Fig. 3, the dispensing head 1 of Fig. 1 with the inventively designed closure device 1 'is shown in a front view. By comparison with FIG. 4, which shows the dispensing head 1 without closure device 1 ', the size of the closure device 1' with respect to the size of the dispensing head 1 and its adaptation to it are particularly emphasized. 5, the complete closure device 1 'is shown individually in the starting position with closed discharge opening 3 and undeformed rear wall 12 of the dome 6. In FIGS. 6 to 8, the individual components of this closure device 1 'are listed separately. Fig. 6 shows the valve body 5 with valve head 7 at one end and the tapered other end 18 for insertion into the sleeve 8 of the dome 6. Fig. 7 shows the valve body 4, and 8 shows the elastic dome 6 with its rear wall 12 and the sleeve 8 arranged thereon.

Die Ventilkörperhülse 28 ist als Teil des Austragskanals 22 mit einer Doppelwandung 32 ausgebildet, die durch eine untere Öffnung 33 mit dem Produkt befüllbar ist.FIGS. 9 and 10 show a second embodiment of the dispenser head according to the invention; Fig. 9 shows the entire dispenser head 20 in the starting position; The dispenser head 20 consists of an upper part 30 and a lower part 31 with an integrated closure device 21. In the valve housing 24 of the closure device 21, a valve body sleeve 28 is arranged with inserted and latched from the front anchored valve body 25. To guide the valve body 25, the front part of the valve body sleeve 28 is formed with a nozzle body 36 with alternately arranged passage channels 36 'in a guide portion 34 to allow the product to discharge between valve body 25 and valve body sleeve 28. The arrangement of the valve body 25 in the valve body sleeve 28 is such that the valve head 27 closes the discharge opening 23 from the front. The valve body sleeve 28 is formed as part of the discharge channel 22 with a double wall 32 which can be filled with the product through a lower opening 33.

The sealing between the dispensing head 20 and the closure device 21 takes place via two elastic annular beads 32 'and 32 ". Between these two annular beads 32' and 32", an annular space is formed, through which the product can flow, thus positioning the lower opening 33 of FIG Closing device 21 to the product channel 19 of the dispenser head 20 is unnecessary. The consequence of this measure is easier assembly.

The function of the elastic mandrel 6 of the first exemplary embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 8 as restoring element takes over in this second dispensing head 20 the rear end 26 of the valve body sleeve 28 injection-molded from an elastic material, which is in a latching connection via the elastic annular beads 32 '. 32 "is fixedly connected to the upper part 30 and the lower part 31 of the dispensing head 20.

In the tilting movement of the closure device 21 by manual pressure on the button 37 to initiate the dispensing operation, the valve body sleeve 28 is guided with its return element or rear end 26 on a circular path against the stationary web 29 of the lower part 31 and pushed together with the valve body 25 to the front whereby the valve head 27 releases the discharge opening 23 forward and the product exits the valve head 27 in the direction of the arrow 39. At the same time the resilient rear end 26 is deformed (compressed) by the stop on the web 29. After completion of the dispensing process, the rear end 26 of the valve body sleeve 28 comes back from the web 29 free and the restoring force of the compressed rear end 26 and on the rear wall 26 'pressure exerted by the product in the double wall 32 still under pressure product pull the valve body sleeve 28 with the valve body 25 back to the starting position. In this initial position, the valve head 27 with its conical front part seals the nozzle body 36, which is formed with a recessed corner, of the discharge opening 23 with punctiform contact.

In Fig. 11a, the nozzle body 36a corresponding to the cone of the valve head 27a of the valve body 25a is also formed with a cone in a similar overall design as in Figures 9 and 10, so that a sheet-like sealing contact is made. In Fig. 11b, with the same conical seal between the valve head 27b and the nozzle body 36b and smaller guide portion of the nozzle body 36b, the valve head 27b of the valve body 25b is additionally formed with an outwardly projecting central mandrel 35 providing better distribution of the product during its discharge guaranteed from the dispenser head.

A third variant of the dispenser head according to the invention is shown in Figures 12 and 13 in an enlarged detail, in Fig. 12 in the starting position and in Fig. 13 in the dispensing position. The dispensing head 40 consists of an upper part 50 with a closure device 41 and a lower part 51 arranged therein. The closure device 41 is formed from a valve housing 44 with a nozzle body 56 and a valve body 45 whose valve head 47 closes the discharge opening 43 of the nozzle body 56 from the inside. The rear part of the valve body 45 is formed by a double wall 52 open towards the valve head 47 and closed in the opposite direction by a rear wall 52 '. The double wall 52 thereby forms part of the discharge channel 42 and can be filled via a lower opening 53 with the product to be discharged. The outer valve body wall 46 consists of a restoring element of a molded on the other wall elastic material and is connected via a snap connection via elastic annular beads 46 ', 46 "fixed to the upper part 50 and the lower part 51. These annular beads 46', 46" lead in the same As in the case of FIG. 10, a seal between the dispenser head 40 and the closure device 41 results and, in the same way as described therein, facilitates the assembly by forming an annular space through which product can flow.

In the initial position, the elastic valve body wall 46 as a restoring element under a tensile stress and pulls the valve body 45 with its valve head 47 sealingly against the discharge opening 43 of the nozzle body 56. This tensile stress in the elastic valve body wall 46 is generated in that the nozzle body 56 during its assembly of is pushed forward into the valve housing 44 and thereby displaces the valve body 45 to the rear.

The elastic valve body wall 46 acts as an automatic return element in the dispensing process in the following manner: During the dispensing process flows through Actuation of the button 57 the product to be discharged from below through the lower opening 53 in the cavity formed by the double wall 52. Here presses the product with its pressure, which is greater than the preset tensile force, against the rear wall 52 'of the double wall 52 and displaces it, since the discharge opening 43 is initially closed, under stretching of the elastic outer valve body wall 46 and under magnification of the originally present Tensile stress the valve body 45 toward the rear wall 52 '. As a result of this displacement, the valve head 47 of the valve body 45 releases the discharge opening 43 inwards and the product can emerge from the dispensing head 40 in the direction of the arrow 59. After completion of the dispensing operation, the valve body 45 is automatically pulled back to its initial position by the restoring force of the elastic outer valve body wall 46 and the valve head 47 closes the discharge opening 43. The closure of the discharge opening 43 is ensured by the conically pointed valve head 47, the conical Course of the discharge opening 43 of the nozzle body 56 is adjusted.

In Figures 14a to 14c further training possibilities of the front closure are shown. In Fig. 14a, the front part of the valve head 47a is formed with a central cylindrical mandrel 55. The guidance of the valve body 45a takes place via guide webs 58a with conical centering arranged in the discharge opening 43a of the nozzle body 56a, which surround the cylindrical mandrel 55. The sealing of the discharge opening 43a takes place in a planar seal with the peripheral edge 48 of the valve head 47a with the rear part of the nozzle body 56a. 14b, the seal of the discharge opening 43a between the radially formed in the radial direction of the rear part of the nozzle body 56b and the peripheral edge 48 of the end face of the valve head 47b takes place in otherwise identical training with Fig. 14a. In FIG. 14c, in a further variant with the same seal as in FIGS. 14a or 14b, the guidance of the valve body 45c is increased in that, in addition to the guidance of the mandrel 55, an extension is also provided front part 45c 'of the valve body 45c by the correspondingly shaped nozzle body 56c' is mounted leading.

Another (fourth) embodiment variant of the dispenser head is shown in Figures 15a (in the starting position) and 15b (in the closed position). The closure device 61 of the dispensing head 60 consisting of an upper part 70 and a lower part 71 has exactly like the dispenser head 40 of FIG. 12 in a valve housing 64 a valve body 65 with a in its rear portion 66 as a return body elastically formed double wall 72. The valve head 67th open and opposite closed double wall 72 is filled through a lower opening 73 with the product to be discharged and forms part of the discharge channel 62nd

In the initial position of the dispenser head 60, the valve body 65 is guided and locked with its rear end 72 'manually against a projecting rib 69' of a stationary web 69 of the lower part 71, wherein the valve head 67 pressed from the inside against the discharge opening 63 and at the same time the elastic trained area 66 is compressed. The web 69 with its projecting rib 69 'is arranged so that the valve body 65 is rotated by the circular tilting movement of the upper part 70 by the manual operation of the key 77 during the dispensing process from this lock. The free to the rear valve body 65 is pulled by the force exerted by the product on the rear wall of the double wall 72 and the elastic spring back compression of the compressed portion 66 in the direction of the web 69 (in the drawing to the right) and the product can in the direction of arrow 79 from emerge from the dispenser head 60.

The re-closure of the discharge opening 63 by the valve head 67 after completion of the dispensing process then takes place by the reverse rotation of the upper part 70 through which the rear end 72 'of the valve body 65 via the inclined shoulder 74 of the rib 69' upwards and at the same time forward (in of the Drawing to the left) is pushed, thereby pressing the valve head 67 from the inside against the discharge opening 63. At the same time, the elastic region 66 of the double wall 72 is hereby compressed again. The restoring force of the upper part for producing the starting position is sufficiently large in order to be able to pull the end 72 'of the valve body 65 via the inclined shoulder 74 of the rib 69'. In the same way as in FIGS. 10 and 13, annular beads 66 ', 66 "are arranged on the elastic region 66 of the double wall 72, which in a manner identical to that described with reference to FIGS. 10 and 13 form a seal between the two walls Dispenser head 60 and the closure device 61 and lead to easier installation.

The invention is not limited only to the described embodiments with the dispenser heads shown there, but a same or functionally identical closure device according to the invention can also be used in other commercial dispensing heads for pressurized dispensing container after a possibly necessary design adjustment.

Dispenser head (60) according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the valve body (65) is constructed with a double wall (72) fillable with the product to be discharged and in the initial setting is pressed by its valve head (67) from inside against the discharge opening (63) by a protruding rib (69') of a stationary web (69) of the lower part (61), which engages in locking manner at its rearward end (72'), and in that case the resilient rearward region (66) of the double wall (72) is compressed, wherein the web (69) with its rib (69') is so arranged that the valve body (65) is rotated out of the locking by way of the circular tipping movement of the upper part (70) of the valve body (65) and that after removal of the locking the product pressure acting in the double wall (72) and the resetting force of the compressed region (66) displace the valve body (65) for freeing the discharge opening (63).
  12. Dispenser head (1, 20, 40, 60) according to one of claims 3 to 11, characterised in that the resilience of the resilient resetting element (6, 26, 46, 66) is selected to be of such a magnitude through use of an appropriate resilient material, for example TPE, that a limited relative movement between the valve head (7, 27, 47, 67) and the discharge opening (3, 23, 43, 63) is made possible.
