Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical connector with a contact carrier made of insulating material and received therein in contact channels Contact elements, each one in the contact carrier arranged connection section with a screwless Terminal for a conductor and one of the contact carrier have emergent contact portion, in particular circular connector with coaxially arranged contact elements and axially in these merging ladders, according to the preamble of Claim 1.
- Circular connectors are characterized by the fact that in their Contact carrier a number of coaxial with the contact carrier, ie coaxial with the longitudinal center axis of the connector, extending elongated contact elements are arranged.
- the stripped conductor ends the conductor will be in the connecting section of the respective Inserted contact element, the plug-in direction and the Direction of introduced into the connector lines also are directed coaxially.
- the cable connector according to DE 197 08 663 C1 compared to the previously known connector with screw Terminals advantageous because the required components of the contact elements be designed as a relatively simple stamped and bent parts can.
- each Contact element Apart from the required bipartite of each Contact element here is mainly the disadvantage that the cable connector due to the applied insulation displacement technology only for connecting rigid cable cores, so single cores, however can not be used for conductors with stranded cores.
- connection portion of each contact element is a spring tongue and this opposite forms an abutment portion, against the the spring tongue is biased, and that the spring tongue is a control member is assigned, via which the spring tongue by means of an auxiliary tool from the abutment section can be lifted and thereby the connection section is to open for insertion or removal of a conductor.
- connection section formed of the contact element screwless terminal It is essential that not the head of the connection section formed of the contact element screwless terminal itself must open, but that they for insertion (as well as for Removal) of a conductor by means of an auxiliary tool to open. Therefore, even pliable conductors can mechanically and electrically securely connected to the contact elements.
- the fact that the terminal by means of an auxiliary tool is opened, can also be high conductor clamping forces realize. Therefore, the contact elements of the invention Connector spring tongues having high restoring forces.
- the auxiliary tool may e.g. a screwdriver or similar Tool which, when connecting conductors to the Plug connector is used. But it can also be thought of be to execute one or more auxiliary tools on the type of stamps so that the conductor connection in an automatic assembly could be involved.
- the spring tongue is an advantageous feature in that it attaches to a middle contact cut, with which the contact element anchored in the contact carrier, is tied and himself approximately coaxial with the contact portion of the contact element, however extends in the opposite direction from this away. That leads to a relatively slim and thin contact element.
- the control member may according to another embodiment, a one-piece cohesive Part of the spring tongue and it can be Associated contact plate.
- Control member as formed on the contact plate, with a control surface is designed to attack the auxiliary tool provided tab.
- the forces introduced by the auxiliary tool act directly in the conductor terminal area.
- the control surface of the control member may be formed and / or arranged that the spring tongue by moving the Auxiliary tool substantially parallel to its longitudinal direction of Abutment lifts, including the control member, the side of the contact plate tethered, as bent approximately at right angles out of its plane Tab is formed.
- the abutment portion of the contact element may be one of Contact plate of the spring section opposite contact plate form at the one approximately at right angles out of the plane bent tab is designed as a conductor stop.
- the contact plates with strain relief organs be provided, e.g. essentially wavy from a conductor between embracing forms of the contact plates can be formed.
- the connector may eventually be designed so that the contact carrier with this latchable and channels for Engaging the terminal portions of the contact elements exhibiting Cover element is assigned.
- This cover element provides a sort an extension of the contact carrier, because the contact carrier and the latched with him cover element holds the contact elements essentially positively in place.
- the invention provides an electrical Connectors available via easy to manufacture and has trained contact elements, to the stripped conductor ends usual type - be it single wires or strands - electric and can be connected mechanically particularly securely.
- Fig. 1 shows essential parts of a total of 10 designated electrical connector.
- 11 denotes one of insulating material existing, in particular injection-molded contact carrier for receiving of contact elements 12, of which shown in Fig. 1 only two are.
- FIG. 1 a so-called cover 13 can still be seen, the, after the contact elements 12 provided in the insulating body 11 Contact channels 14 are inserted, with the contact carrier 11th is locked.
- the lid has 13 spring tongue-like locking elements 15 and a coding nose 16 for positionally correct assignment to the contact carrier 11. Since the contact elements 12 both within the actual contact carrier 11 as well as in the lid Extend into 13, this is part of the contact carrier 11th specific.
- a contact element 12 comprises several Functional sections. Approximately in the middle of the slender, elongated Contact element 12 is a contact portion 17 with a notched and issued abutment tongue 18 for anchoring the contact element 12 in the contact channel 14 of the contact carrier 11th
- the plug pin 20 shown in Figs. 2a and 2b is through Punching and a subsequent rolling process from a flat Sheet metal blank produced. It can be seen in the figure, the surface line 22 at the longitudinal edges of the rolled blank abut each other.
- connection section 23 of the contact element 12 On the side facing away from the contact portion 19 of the middle Section 17 is the so-called connection section 23 of the contact element 12 formed.
- This connection section 23 comprises a narrow, elongated spring tongue 24, which in the area of a 25 designated transverse line, which also performed as a material weakening may be connected to the middle section 17.
- the spring leg 24 opens into a free end portion 26, which is also referred to below as a contact plate.
- These Contact plate 26 is under the effect of the spring leg 24 immanent Spring force against an abutment portion 27, whose End region also has a plate-shaped configuration and therefore here also referred to as contact plate 28.
- This contact plate 28 is - as Figs. 2a and 2b clearly show - the contact plate 26 of the spring leg 24 directly opposite, so that the contact plate 26, the contact plate 27 can act resiliently.
- a designated 30 tab bent approximately 90 °. This tab 30 serves as a lateral limit stop for a conductor to be inserted in the direction of the arrow 31 and to the latter lateral guidance.
- Another key feature is one with 32 designated control member, by means of which the connection portion 23rd can be opened for Laderbe Anlagenung.
- the connection portion 23rd can be opened for Laderbe Anlagenung.
- the Contact plate 26 of the spring tongue 24 of the contact plate 28 of the Abutment section 27 is opened for Laderbe Anlagenung.
- control member 32 from a tab 33, which serves as a lateral extension of the contact plate 26 along a line designated 34 attached to this and then angled at about 90 °.
- the Anbindeline 34 is the Anbindeline 29 opposite, and the directions of the bends of the tab 33 and the tab 30th are in opposite directions. This creates an almost self-contained, approximately rectangular cavity in which the conductor in autismeinsteckectomy 31 protected on all sides.
- control surface 35 For controlling the control member 32 is a control surface 35, which is designed as a sloping or sliding surface on her. How to can imagine, causes an approximately in the direction of the arrow 31 parallel Arrow 36 directed force control of the control member 32nd with respect to FIG. 2b upwards, ie in the opening direction of the connection section 23 with the result that the contact plate 26 of the spring tongue 24th is lifted from the contact plate 28 of the abutment portion 27.
