Definitions

  • the invention relates to a system for reversibly holding a container in the mixing position in a mixer, and a mixer comprising such a holding system.
  • the document US Patent 4514833 discloses a mixer comprising a holding system whose jaws are moved by a worm.
  • Such mixers are known which are suitable for mixing any type of liquid or viscous product contained in a container. In particular, they can allow the production of emulsions from ingredients introduced into a container.
  • Such mixers must therefore allow the effective maintenance of a container facing the mixing head of the mixer. Indeed, the mixing head rotating at a certain speed, it can cause the movement of the container if it is not maintained. In addition, the mixers must allow the rapid introduction and release of containers under the mixing head regardless of the size of said containers.
  • the aim of the invention is to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a system for reversibly holding a container in the mixing position in a mixer which enables a quick and easy adjustment of the system depending on the size of the container.
  • this system does not require a new setting when exchanging a container by a container of the same size.
  • the system also ensures elastic clamping against the container without significant clamping effort.
  • the invention relates to a system for reversibly holding a container in the mixing position in a mixer, said system being intended to be fixed to a member of said mixer and comprising a first and a second arm which are mounted movable in relative rotation about an axis between a position of insertion of the container between the two arms and a locked position in which the arms surround the container by exerting a peripheral clamping force, said system further comprising a lever reversible locking device which is rotatably mounted about the axis, a resiliently rotating constraining device which is integral on the one hand with the first arm and on the other hand with the lever and a reversible locking device for the relative rotation of the second arm relative to the lever.
  • the invention relates to a mixer comprising a frame on which is mounted a mixing head, said mixer further comprising a reversible holding system of a container facing the mixing head as described above .
  • Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a mixer provided with a holding system according to the invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view from above of the holding system according to FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view from below of the holding system according to FIG.
  • FIG. 4 is a bottom representation of the first arm of the holding system according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
  • FIG. 5 is a bottom representation of the second arm of the holding system according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
  • FIG. 6 is a bottom view of the locking lever of the holding system according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
  • Figures 7a, 7b, 7c are top views of different positions of the holding system according to Figures 2 and 3, respectively without a container, with a container and during the release of the container.
  • the mixer 1 comprises a frame 2 provided with a column 3 on which is mounted longitudinally sliding an assembly supporting a mixing head 4.
  • the mixing head 4 comprises a shaft driven in rotation by a motor and provided at its end with a mixing tool, a propeller for example.
  • the base of the column 3 is provided with a base 5 on which rests the mixer 1.
  • a holding system 6 is arranged above the base 5.
  • This system is mounted on the column, for example by means of a ring 7 and clamping means (not shown) of the ring 7 on the column 3.
  • the clamping means can be loosened in order to adjust, by sliding along the column 3, the height of the holding system 6 according to the dimensions of the container used.
  • the ring 7 is provided with a bore allowing the passage of a rod 8 of the holding system.
  • the rod 8 is arranged so that the system of 6 can maintain a container facing the mixing head 4.
  • Fastening means (not shown) of the rod 8 in the bore of the ring 7 are provided.
  • the holding system 6 includes a first 9 and a second arm.
  • the rod 8 is fixed under the second arm 10, as can be seen in Figure 3, for example by means of screws.
  • the second arm 10 is thus fixed relative to the frame 2 of the mixer 1 when the clamping means are tight and the rod 8 is fixed in the bore of the ring 7.
  • the first and second arms 9 and 10 are mounted in relative rotation about a substantially vertical axis 11 when the mixer rests on its base and has a curvilinear shape that can surround a container. Thus the first and second arms form a jaw when associated.
  • a locking lever 12 is further provided, rotatably mounted about the axis 11 and interposed between the first and second arms 9 and 10.
  • a first 13 and a second 14 coaxial lugs are respectively provided on the face of the top 16 and on the underside 15 of the locking lever 12 in the vicinity of its periphery and near the axis 11.
  • the first lug 13 is engaged in a groove 17 provided in the second arm in the vicinity of its periphery and near the axis 11.
  • the groove 17 is arranged to allow relative rotation of the lever relative to the second arm on a defined stroke .
  • the groove 17 has a curvilinear shape whose center is the axis 11, as shown in FIG.
  • a reversible locking device comprising a wheel 19 is mounted on the first lug 14 which is threaded.
  • a reversible locking device comprising a wheel 19 is mounted on the first lug 14 which is threaded.
  • the second lug 14 is engaged in a groove 18 provided in the first arm 9 in the vicinity of its periphery and near the axis 11.
  • the groove 18 is arranged to allow the relative rotation of the lever 12 relative to the first arm 9 on a definite race.
  • the groove 18 has a curvilinear shape whose center is the axis 11, as shown in FIG.
  • the second lug 14 may also be threaded in order to be able to screw a fixing means, for example a nut (not shown), to maintain the first arm 9 under the lever 12.
  • a fixing means for example a nut (not shown)
  • the screwing of the nut is provided to leave a game between the first arm 9 and the lever 12, thus the rotation of the lever relative to the first arm is possible.
  • a resilient device 20 for rotation is secured to the first arm 9 and the lever 12.
  • This device 20 comprises a first cubic member 21 secured to the underside of the first arm 9 and extending around the axis 11.
  • This first member comprises a housing 22 in which is mounted in rotation about the axis 11 a second cubic member 23 integral with the underside 15 of the lever, as shown in Figure 3.
  • the first and second cubic members 21 and 23 are arranged such that the second cubic member 23 is offset by an angle substantially equal to 45 ° with respect to the first cubic member 21 when no force is applied to the constraint device 20.
  • Elastic means 24 are arranged in the housing 22 in the spaces created by the offset between the first and second cubic members 21 and 23. Thus, it is possible to elastically constrain the relative rotation of the second member 23 in the housing 22.
  • the elastic means 24 may be formed of four elastomeric material beads which are each disposed between an edge of the first member 21 and a face of the second member 23.
  • other resilient biasing devices may be provided, such as a return spring arranged between the first arm 9 and the lever 12 for example.
  • the first and second arms 9 and 10 comprise pads 25, 26 and 27 flexible arranged on their top face. These pads are intended to transmit the clamping force of the holding system 6 on the container held in its mixing position.
  • the second arm 10 comprises two pads 25 and 26, mounted on pins 28 provided on the upper face of the second arm near its end remote from the axis 11, as shown in FIG. 5. These pads are formed of a strip of elastomeric material 29 which is wound taut around two pins 28. The strip of material protrudes radially inwardly of the arm.
  • the first arm 9 comprises a single shoe 27 similar to the pads 25 and 26 and also mounted on two pins 28.
  • the two pins 28 are mounted on a rotating part 30 mounted on a lug 31 located on the top face of the first arm in the vicinity its end remote from the axis 11, as shown in Figures 3 and 4.
  • the rotation of the part 30 makes it possible to adapt the position of the pad 27 to the shape of the container held. A better clamping of the container is thus ensured.
  • the holding system 6 does not hold any container.
  • the second arm is fixed in rotation relative to the frame of the mixer. Without container and the wheel 19 being loosened, the rotation of the first arm 9 relative to the second 10 is free and inelastic within the limits defined by the grooves 17 and 18.
  • the rotation of the lever 12 is also free within the limits defined by the grooves 17 and 18.
  • the rotation of the lever 12 relative to the first arm 9 is further limited by the resilient biasing device 20. This position is the insertion position of a container.
  • the first arm of the second is thus removed by opening the jaw defined by these arms 9 and 10. It then disposes the container against the pads 25 and 26 of the second arm 10 so that it is opposite the mixing head 4.
  • the first arm 9 is then returned to the container by closing the jaw and applying the pad 27 against the container, as shown in Figure 7b where a container 32 is held by the holding system 6.
  • the pad 27 thus forms against the support on the container, and when the lever is brought to the first arm, the rotation of the second cubic member 23 in the housing 22 is elastically constrained and the rotation of the first arm relative to the second becomes a rotation with an elastic return that tends to close the jaw.
  • the knob 19 is tightened on the pin 13 so as to make the lever 12 fixed with respect to the second arm 10.
  • a retaining system 6 can be disengaged and clutched as desired by moving the lever 12 and tightening the wheel 19.
  • the two arms of the holding system 6 exert a peripheral clamping force around the container, thus holding it firmly facing the mating head 4 in a locking position.
  • the peripheral clamping is however limited so as not to damage the maintained container. This limit is fixed by the groove 18, the ends of which prevent the application of an elastic stress of excessive intensity between the second cubic member 23 and the housing 22.
  • the vibrations caused by the rotation of the mixing head are partially absorbed by the elastic movement of the first arm 9. The holding system is not disturbed by these vibrations and preserves its effectiveness during operation of the mixer.
  • the first arm is moved away from the second, the container is placed and the first arm returns to the lock position.
  • the dimensions of the grooves 17 and 18 and those of the two arms 9 and 10 are for example chosen to allow the system to maintain containers having a capacity ranging from 0.1 L to about 20 L.
  • the holding system 6 may also comprise a safety sensor 33 which is intended to be connected to the control device of the mixer 1, as represented in FIG. 3.
  • This sensor 33 for example based on an angle measurement, is arranged for issuing a signal prohibiting the start of the mixer 1 in case of improper clamping of the container 32 in the mixer 1.
