Definitions
- the present invention relates to a label intended to be applied to a article, in particular on a cosmetic product packaging.
- Another possible solution is to use a booklet label or a peelable label instead of a simple label.
- a booklet label is a label made up of two printable layers superimposed on a support. The two coats are therefore applied in one single operation on a single labeling station. Both layers are rendered bonded over most of their surface with a weak adhesive and on a side strip with strong adhesive. So the consumer can easily peel off the top layer of the label on which is printed part of the information to access what is printed on the layer bottom of the booklet label. By pulling harder on the top layer, the consumer can finally peel off the entire top layer of the booklet label.
- a peelable label is a label also made up of two layers printables superimposed on a support. Both coats are applied on a single labeling station. The two layers are made integral on, this time, the whole of their surface, with a low-strength adhesive. So the consumer can easily peel off the top layer of the label on which is printed part of the information to have access to what is printed on the bottom layer of the peelable label.
- Document US 6,332,631 describes a label comprising a support, one of which first side is covered with a first indication.
- the second side of the support includes a first portion covered with a permanent adhesive intended to fix the label.
- the second side has a second portion initially covered with an adhesive on which a second indication is printed, the adhesive power of the adhesive in this second portion being deactivated by a protective layer.
- a third portion is covered with adhesive, this portion being intended to be peeled off.
- GB2310418 and US 6,073,377 describe labels comprising two detachable parts, only one side of which has a indication.
- a label intended to be applied to an article in particular to a packaging of cosmetic product, comprising a support of which a first face is covered, at least in part, with a first impression, a second side of the support being intended to be glued to the article, the second face being covered with an adhesive layer intended to maintain permanently, at least a first zone of the label on the article, the adhesive layer being at least partially covered, on at least a second area of the second side of a second impression corresponding to an indication relating to Article.
- the second impression can be intended to be in contact with the article when the label is stuck on the article in order to reduce the power adhesive of the adhesive layer on said second area so that the second zone is suitable for being detached from the article in order to view the second impression.
- the adhesive power of the adhesive layer is lessened only by the presence of the corresponding second impression to an indication relating to the article, without the need to add a additional layer on the adhesive.
- a label intended to be applied to an article in particular on a cosmetic product packaging, comprising a support, one of which first side is covered, at least in part, with a first impression, a second face of the support being intended to be glued to the article, at least a first zone of the second face being covered with a layer of first adhesive composition intended to maintain permanently the label on the article, at least a second area of the second face being covered with a layer of a second adhesive composition, separate from the first, the second adhesive composition being such that the second zone is able to be detached from the article, the support comprising a second impression arranged so that it is visible only when the second zone is detached from the article, when the article is not transparent.
- the second impression can cover the less in part the second zone of the second face of the support, or alternatively the support may be transparent and the second impression may cover part of the first face of the support arranged opposite the second area of the second face of the support, the second impression being able then be covered by an opaque print.
- part of the indications can be read on the front of the label and the other part can be read, after peeling off part of the label, on or at across the back of the label which increases the printable area of the label without increasing its size.
- the support can be made of a material chosen from polyethylenes high density, polypropylenes, polyvinyl chlorides, polyethylenes terephthalates, or paper.
- the support can have a thickness of between 12 ⁇ m and 200 ⁇ m, and preferably between 20 ⁇ m and 80 ⁇ m.
- a peelable sheet can be affixed to the adhesive layer, the face of the peelable sheet in contact with the adhesive layer being covered with a non-stick material, especially silicone.
- the peelable sheet can be made of a material chosen in particular from polyethylene terephthalates, polypropylenes or paper.
- the invention also relates to a packaging of a product, in particular cosmetic, comprising a label as defined above.
- the packaging can consist of a box, case, jar, bottle, tube, can or pencil makeup.
- the label 10 represented in FIGS. 1, 4A and 4B has a shape which is substantially rectangular, as seen more particularly in Figures 4A and 4B. It has a support 20, in particular made of high density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, paper, or polyethylene terephthalate.
- a support 20 in particular made of high density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, paper, or polyethylene terephthalate.
- a polyethylene support high density
- its thickness is around 80 to 100 ⁇ m.
- a polypropylene its thickness is around 40 to 60 ⁇ m.
- Still other materials can be used.
- the support is preferably opaque.
- a first face 21 of the support 20 constituting the front of the label is covered with a first impression 41, in particular an indication relating to identification of the product, its brand or trade name, and especially legal information such as the batch number of the product, its capacity, address and code of the packer, or even the information commercial like barcode, etc ...
- Printing is done by any known technique, in particular by screen printing, typography, flexography, or by offset.
- the first impression 41 is intended to be seen by the consumer without that he needs to perform a particular action.
- a second face 22 of the support 20 constituting the back of the label is covered, on only part A of its surface extending to a edge of the label, of a second impression 42.
- the second impression 42 is for example an indication relating to the list of compounds forming the product contained in the article on which the label is affixed.
- the impression is made by any known technique, in particular by screen printing, typography, flexography, or offset.
- the second impression 42 is not visible directly to the consumer when looking at the product.
- the rest of the surface of the second face 22 is covered with a first adhesive composition 31, in particular of an adhesive of the permanent or semi-permanent type.
- the first adhesive composition 31 is intended to stick the label permanently on the item.
- the second impression 42 is covered with a second adhesive composition 32 transparent whose adhering power is lower than that of the first adhesive composition so that part A of the label can be detached from the article on which it is affixed.
- the adhesive compositions 31 and 32 are covered, before use, with a peelable sheet, not shown, made of a material chosen in particular among polyethylene terephthalates, polypropylenes or paper.
- the face of the peelable sheet in contact with the adhesive compositions 31 and 32 is covered with a non-stick layer, especially silicone.
- Leaf peelable is removed just before applying label 10 on the conditioning.
- the first face 21 of the support is printed. printing 41.
- the remainder of the second face 22 is coated with the composition adhesive 31.
- the protective sheet is then applied to these adhesive layers peelable.
- FIGS. 4A and 4B represent an example of a packaging 100 covered with a label 10 as just described.
- a packaging is a container in the form of a bottle, the label 10 being affixed to the body of the bottle.
- the label can be stuck on the bottle cap.
- such conditioning could consist of a container in the form of a pot, a tube or a can of aerosol or spray can type.
- the packaging may be under shape of a box or a case, or even a makeup pencil.
- the bottle 100 contains for example a cosmetic product and is marketed with the label 10 that we stuck on after removing the peelable sheet.
- the consumer can read the directions corresponding to the first impression 41 without performing any particular action.
- the user peel off part A of the label so as to visualize part A on the back of the label comprising the second impression 42.
- the support 20 being opaque, the first impression 41 is then not visible through the support and the consumer sees only the second impression 42.
- the rest of the label being affixed with an adhesive composition of the permanent type, the entire label is held on the article so that all indications printed on the label remain permanently on the article.
- the label 110 has a support 120 which can be substantially identical to the support 20 described above, except that it is transparent this time.
- the first one face 121 of the support 120 constituting the front of the label is this time covered, on only part A of its surface extending to a edge of label, second impression 142.
- This second impression 142 is for example identical to the second impression described above, and corresponds for example to an indication relating to the list of compounds forming the product contained in the article on which the label is affixed.
- An opaque printing layer 150 continuously covers the rest of the surface of the first face 121 of the support as well as the second impression 142. Finally, the first impression 141 this time covers the layer 150.
- the second face 122 of the support 120 constituting the back of the label is covered, on only part of its surface extending to an edge of the label (which corresponds to part A of the label), one second 132 transparent adhesive composition, the adhesive power of which is relatively small so that part A of the label can be detached from the article on which it is affixed.
- the rest of the surface of the second face 122 is covered with a first adhesive composition 131, in particular a permanent or semi-permanent type of adhesive.
- the first one adhesive composition 131 is intended to stick the label so permanent on the article.
- the first impression 141 is intended to be seen by consumers without their having need to perform a particular action.
- the presence of the layer opaque 150 hides the second impression 142.
- the user takes off part A of the label so as to display part A of the back of the label comprising the second impression 142.
- the support 120 being transparent, the second print 142 is then visible through the support.
- the presence of the opaque layer 150 masks the first impression 141 when the part A is taken off.
- this label 110 we print on part A of the first face 121 of the printing support 142.
- the opaque layer 150 is then printed on this impression 142 and on the rest of the first face 121 of the support. Then, we print on the opaque layer 150 the print 141.
- the third embodiment shown in Figure 3 differs from the first embodiment in that the second face 222 of the support 220 is this once completely covered with a first adhesive composition 231 such as permanent or semi-permanent adhesive which is not necessarily transparent.
- the second impression 242 this time covers part A of the first adhesive composition 231 so the adhesive power of this composition is partly annihilated which allows part A of the label to be detached from the article on which it is affixed.
