Description

TOUR DE POTIER COMPORTANT UN DISPOSITIF DE GUIDAGE POUR LEPOTIER TOWER COMPRISING A GUIDANCE DEVICE FOR THE
FORMAGEFORMING
The present invention relates to the field of making pottery using machines called "tower", and in particular for making pottery by children.
The present invention relates more particularly to a potter's wheel for shaping pottery, composed of a base supporting a girelle which can be rotated along an axis of rotation.
The prior art already knows potters' turns for the shaping of potteries. There is in particular a device described in Australian patent application No. AU 1 503 477. This system makes it possible to center a clod of earth by the pressure of a single tool. This tool is movable along an arm. This arm can be rotated in all directions by a handle located in the extension of the arm. The advantage of this type of system is to facilitate the centering of the earth, an operation which causes great difficulties for the beginner.
This system makes it possible to center the clod of earth, but does not make it possible to carry out the shaping of the pottery itself, during which one gives a form specific to the pottery, and during which one can operate a decoration in relief of the outside surface of the pottery. In addition, this device has only one centering arm. This device is therefore ill-suited to the modeling of small objects. Indeed, in this case, the clod of earth is small and can easily come off from the girelle. Finally, this device does not allow the user to be properly guided when he mimes the gesture that the potter normally performs with his bare hands and therefore does not allow him to easily learn the techniques of the artisan potter.
The prior art also knows German patent application No. DE 3418067 which relates to a central drilling lathe comprising a plate (2) which can be rotated along an axis of rotation. This device is provided with a piercing ring (6) mounted on an axis parallel with the axis of rotation of the plate (2), making it possible to pierce a pottery in its center.
It is clear that the piercing ring (6) absolutely does not allow assistance in the external shaping of the pottery since this ring is movable vertically along this axis of rotation.
The prior art also knows British patent application N ° GB 1 603 708 which relates to a lathe for decorating pottery. This lathe is provided with a plate (6) which can be rotated along an axis of rotation.
Ce tour comporte en outre un bras (17) unique présentant une pointe à son extrémité et pouvant être entraîné en balayage au-dessus du plateau (6) par rotation selon un axe parallèle à l'axe de rotation du plateau (6).This turn further comprises a single arm (17) having a point at its end and which can be swept over the plate (6) by rotation along an axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the plate (6).
This turn does not really allow to exert shaping efforts in the manner of traditional shaping. The prior art finally knows the American patent N ° US 5 047 194 which relates to a potter's wheel for the shaping of a pottery (10), of the type comprising a base (23) supporting a girelle (22) which can be driven rotating along an axis of rotation.
This lathe is equipped with a shaping tool (24), movable in different directions, presenting a projection tube (28) having at its distal end a projection nozzle (36) by which a stream of water is projected (35 ).
The shaping is therefore not carried out in a traditional manner by manual efforts, but by spraying water.
The present invention intends to remedy the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing a lathe provided with a guiding device which promotes the learning of manual shaping gestures, in particular for making small-sized pottery. This tour is particularly, but not exclusively, intended for children to learn how to make pottery.
The present invention consists of a potter's wheel for shaping a pottery, of the type comprising a base supporting a girelle which can be rotated along an axis of rotation, characterized in that it comprises a guide device comprising means allowing to operate on said pottery manual efforts diametrically opposite with respect to the axis of rotation of said girelle.
According to a preferred embodiment, the guide device consists of at least one stud having an axis substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of said girelle as well as at least one arm of guiding a tool, said guide arm being movable relative to said stud.
Preferably, the guide device consists of an arch-shaped support formed by two studs connected to each other.
According to an advantageous variant, the support consists of a cylindrical shape in an inverted U.
Advantageously, the tool or tools each have an interchangeable work surface. Preferably, each tool has a handle.
According to one embodiment, said handle is located on a face opposite to the working surface of the tool. According to another embodiment, said handle is offset radially relative to the working surface of the tool.
According to an advantageous variant, the base has a recess making it possible to accommodate a removable water tank, in order to make it possible to collect the water used for shaping and to more easily evacuate this water.
On comprendra mieux l'invention à l'aide de la description, faite ci-après à titre purement explicatif, d'un mode de réalisation de l'invention, en référence aux figures annexées :The invention will be better understood using the description, given below for purely explanatory purposes, of an embodiment of the invention, with reference to the appended figures:
• La figure 1 illustre une vue en perspective d'un tour de potier selon l'invention ;• Figure 1 illustrates a perspective view of a potter's wheel according to the invention;
• La figure 2 illustre une vue de détail d'une variante préférée de réalisation du dispositif de guidage ;• Figure 2 illustrates a detailed view of a preferred embodiment of the guide device;
The potter's wheel (1) according to the invention, illustrated in FIG. 1, is of the type comprising a base (3) comprising an electric motor making it possible to drive in rotation about an axis of rotation A girelle (4) supported by the base (3).
Les liquides recueillis dans la cuvette s'écoulent ensuite dans un réservoir d'eau (16).Preferably, a bowl is positioned under the circular plate supporting the rotating pottery, or girelle (4), for the recovery of the liquids discharged at the periphery of the girelle and the plate is also pierced with holes opening into this bowl. The liquids collected in the bowl then flow into a water tank (16).
Le tour de potier (1) selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un dispositif de guidage (5) comportant des moyens permettant d'opérer sur ladite poterie (2) des efforts manuels diamétralement opposés par rapport à l'axe A de rotation de ladite girelle (4).The potter's wheel (1) according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a guide device (5) comprising means making it possible to operate on said pottery (2) manual forces diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A of rotation of said girelle (4).
The shaping and centering of the pottery is carried out by a lateral bringing together of the guide arms. In this way, the tools exert pressure on the pottery, which makes it easier to shape and decorate it by marking its outer surface.
According to a basic embodiment, the guiding device consists of at least one vertical stud (6, 6 ') having an axis preferably substantially parallel to the axis A of rotation of said girelle (4) as well as to at least one arm (7, 7 ') and preferably two guide arms (7, 7'), for guiding a tool (8, 8 ') respectively, said guide arm (s) (7, 7') being mobile (s) with respect to said pad (s) (6, 6 '). According to a preferred version, the guide arm (s) (7, 7 ′) is or are removably fixed on the stud (s) (6, 6 ′) for example by clipping. It is also possible to produce guide means which make it possible to translate tools in radial movements diametrically opposite with respect to the axis A of rotation of said girelle (4), for example by means of rail systems. According to one embodiment, the guide device (5) consists of a support (9) in the form of an arch formed by two studs (6, 6 ') connected to each other and on which one or two arms (7, 7 ') are mobile.
In a preferred version illustrated in Figure 2, the guide device (5) consists of an arch of an inverted U-shaped cylindrical shape. The two studs constituting this arch each have in section a circular shape and an axis substantially parallel to the axis A of rotation of said girelle. One or two arms (7, 7 ') for guiding a tool (8, 8') is or are mobile (s) on this arch.
Each arm (7, 7 ') can perform rotational movements around the stud (6, 6') along the vertical axis of the stud, thus making it possible to work the shape of the pottery and to adjust its diameter. Each arm (7, 7 ') can also move vertically along the stud (6, 6'), thus making it possible to adjust the shaping height.
According to an advantageous version, a guide arm (7, 7 ′) can also be placed on the curved upper part of the arch connecting the two studs (6, 6 '), thus making it possible to shape the upper part of the pottery.
According to a preferred embodiment, the arch has notches making it possible to support the arms and to adjust their height to particular values.
Advantageously, the tool (8, 8 ') has an interchangeable work surface (10, 10'), fixed in a removable manner, for example by clipping, to the tool (8, 8 '), as illustrated in FIG. 3. During manufacture, the user will therefore be able to use different tools depending on the action he wishes to perform: centering, shaping or decorating the pottery.
In addition, the tool (8, 8 ') has a handle (12, 12'). According to one embodiment, this handle (12, 12 ') is located on a face (11, 11') opposite a work surface (10, 10 '). The user can thus place his hands flat behind the tool and thus get closer to the gesture made with bare hands by the potter. According to another embodiment of the tool, illustrated in FIG. 1, the handle (12, 12 ') is offset radially along the axis A with respect to a work surface (10, 10'). This type of handle allows the user to apply greater force to each side of the pottery.
In this other mode, the handles (12, 12 ') are, for example in the shape of a T.
