Description
The invention relates to a folding machine with at least one pair of knife shafts, the blade shafts are mounted in a working position parallel to each other between two spaced-apart side walls of the folding machine.
To fold folded paper sheets perpendicular to a fold line, d. H. cutting, cutting, perforating, crimping etc. in the direction of sheet travel, the folding rollers of a folding unit are preceded or adjusted by pairs of cutter shafts. These are usually knife shaft pairs in which a blade shaft is equipped with upper blade tools and the other blade shaft with lower blade tools, which are arranged on a mounted on the blade shaft tool holder. The knife shafts are equipped with appropriate tools depending on the requirements of the order. A corresponding folding machine is disclosed for example in
From DE 41 23 130 A1 a folding machine is known in which one or more entire folders, consisting of knife shafts, folding pocket and folding rollers preferred is moved by pivoting out of the folding machine to provide easy accessibility to the knife shafts and folding rollers. Since the entire folding unit must be moved out of the folding machine, the known construction is very expensive. In addition, it is not possible to preset only the blade shafts outside the folding machine.
The invention has for its object to provide a folding machine with structurally simple means that allow a quick change of the blade shafts in a simple manner.
This object is achieved by a folding machine with the features of claim 1.
Since the knife shafts are mounted in the cassette, which is displaceable by the side wall from the insertion position into the extended position, a change of the knife shafts without pulling out the folding pockets of the upstream folding unit is possible. In addition, it is possible to pre-set a pair of knife shafts during the course of the folding machine, whereby the set-up time can be substantially reduced.
Preferably, the cassette is arranged in a drawer which can be inserted and withdrawn through the side wall. When the drawer is pulled out, the cassette can be removed and a new cassette placed on the drawer. After inserting the drawer, the change of the knife shaft pair is completed.
In a particular embodiment, the cassette has a drive-side end wall and a user-side end wall, which are arranged at a distance from each other and connected by a crossbar. The knife shafts are mounted on the forehead by storage facilities.
Preferably, the storage facilities at least one blade shaft for adjusting the gap between the blade shafts are adjustable. This adjustment is part of the knife shaft cassette. The adjustment can be done outside the folding machine.
For a quick connection with the folding machine-side drive, the drive-side bearing devices may be rotatably mounted in the drive-side end wall and pass therethrough.
For centering of the cassette, it is advantageous if on both end walls in the direction of the drive-side end wall projecting dowel pin is mounted in the the insertion position engages in a centering opening in the side wall of the folding machine.
An accurate adjustment of knife holders on the blade shafts can be achieved by providing a graduation on the shaft body of the blade shaft, which is preferably engraved.
Since the knife holder can be set on the blade shafts outside the machine, the operator can stand in front of the knife shaft cassette when changing tools so that no parallax error occurs.

The
In Fig. 2, the position of the
The
Above the
The
