Abstract

The invention relates to a device for controlling and regulating the pressure of a reel of material in an automatic-cutting dispenser. Each side panel of the dispenser comprises a slot that receives, internally, two flanges which are disposed around said slot in lower and upper horizontal planes thereof and which are used to position and support a pivoting shaft. The shaft receives a flap which passes through each of the side panels, via the slot, and which extends outwards from the side panel. The rear of each reel holder arm comprises a tab which is used to receive and fix a return means. This return means is solidly connected to the flap. In this way, when the reel holder arm is lowered, each of the flaps is articulated and the reel is pressed continuously against the drum.

It comprises a housing having a rear face (1a), an inclined bottom face (1b), side wings (1c) and (1d). The casing receives a lid (2) rocker known per se. Lateral flanges (8-9) reported are arranged inside the volume of the housing, and are established in the form of plastic plates duly attached detachably to the walls of the housing by any suitable means. Between these flanges, is mounted the drum (3) which is associated with the cutting mechanism (4). This drum has any characteristics as defined in the various patents of the applicant. We have represented for example, but not limited to, the use of a safety roller (7) associated with the drum (3) through a guide belt (10) and transmission, also allowing the control and passage of the paper at the output of the device. There is also shown an eccentric device (11) and associated return means (12) for launching the drum and its return. The material coil (5) is mounted in a manner known per se on a gantry or spool holder (6) which is articulated on pins (6a) disposed in the rear part of the lateral flanges (8-9) mentioned above. The constitution of the reel holder with bent arms is made in different ways according to the previous patents filed by the applicant. As shown in the drawings, the coil is intended to bear on the drum, the material strip passing in support on the drum and outward towards the rear of the apparatus.

Chacun des flasques (8-9) porteurs du tambour et permettant l'articulation du bras porte-bobine est agencé dans sa partie arrière, ainsi qu'illustré figure 4, avec une découpe (8a-9a) profilée sous forme de croix par exemple, et disposé entre deux cavaliers ou brides (10-11) disposés intérieurement sur les flasques précités. Ces brides sont disposées à l'horizontal dans les parties supérieure et inférieure de chacune des découpes précitées. Ces brides permettent la réception et le positionnement d'un axe d'articulation (13). Les couples de brides présentent une forme en fourchette (10a-11a) avec un évidement central (10b-11b) pour permettre le positionnement et la tenue de l'axe de guidage (13) précité. Cet axe est avantageusement épaulé à ses extrémités pour permettre son positionnement et insertion entre les deux brides, et en assurant son maintien par rapport aux dites brides. L'axe, selon l'invention, est agencé avec un volet (13a) disposé perpendiculairement et dans un plan horizontal, en traversant la découpe en regard et en débordant extérieurement du plan de chaque flasque (8-9). Ce volet, réalisé monobloc avec l'axe par moulage, est susceptible de pivoter avec ledit axe et ainsi, comme représenté figure 6, de pouvoir être translaté d'un côté ou de l'autre de la découpe (8a-9a) précitée selon une angulation d'environ 180°. Ainsi, le volet est susceptible de prendre deux positions opposées dans les parties d'extrémité droite et gauche de la découpe par un déplacement latéral. Par ailleurs, chaque bras porte-bobine de configuration coudée présente une patte d'extrémité (6a) débordante. Un moyen de rappel élastique (14) du type ressort est ainsi accroché à chacune desdites pattes (8b-9b) d'une part, et en extrémité du volet d'autre part. This shutter, produced integrally with the axis by molding, is capable of pivoting with said axis and thus, as shown figure 6 , to be able to be translated on one side or the other of the above-mentioned cutout (8a-9a) at an angle of about 180 °. Thus, the flap is likely to take two opposite positions in the left and right end portions of the cut by lateral displacement. Furthermore, each bent configuration spool arm has an end flange (6a) projecting. A resilient return means (14) of the spring type is thus attached to each of said tabs (8b-9b) on the one hand, and end of the flap on the other hand. There is therefore an elastic tension connection between the spool arm and the pivoting flap of the control and regulation device.

Claims (4)

  1. Device for monitoring and adjusting the pressure of a reel of material (5) in a machine for dispensing a strip of wipe material, the machine comprising a housing which accommodates a protective cover, two lateral side pieces (8, 9), a drum (3) associated with a cutting mechanism (4), a reel holder and the device including said two lateral side pieces (8, 9), two elastic return means (14), two curved reel-holder arms (6), each reel-holder arm (6) being articulated by a hinge pin located on one of said lateral side pieces (8, 9) and having a lug (6a) for mounting and receiving one of said elastic return means (14), and means stressed in opposition to elastic return means (14) in order to allow said pressure monitoring, characterised in that said two lateral side pieces (8, 9) are designed to accommodate said drum (3) associated with a cutting mechanism and in that each lateral side piece (8, 9) has a shaped cutout (8a, 9a) and internally receives, around the cutout, pairs of flanges (10, 11) located either side of the cutout in the lower and upper horizontal planes and allowing positioning and retention of a pivot pin (13) and in that each pin (13) receives a flap (13a) which passes through each of the side pieces (8, 9) through the corresponding cutout and protrudes externally beyond said side pieces and in that the hinge pin of each reel-holder arm (6) is located in the rear part of each lateral side piece (8, 9) and lug (6a) for mounting and receiving it is an end lug which protrudes beyond the rear part of reel-holder arm (6), said return means (14) also being attached to said flap and lowering of the reel-holder arm causing articulation of each of the flaps and continuous exertion of pressure on the drum by the reel.
  2. Device as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that each cutout has a cross shape.
  3. Device as claimed in either claim 1 or 2, characterised in that each flap is capable of being swivelled from one end to the other of the cutout and can move through 180°.
  4. Device as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the flanges are horizontally arranged in the upper and lower parts of each of the above-mentioned cutouts and make it possible to receive and position a pivot pin (13), and in that the pairs of flanges have a fork shape (10a-11a) with a central opening (10b-11b) in order to allow positioning and retention of the above-mentioned guide pin (13).
